Guide to Fencer / Doppel / Bullet Marker [PVE]

18m exp/hr setup solo
no dumplings / tomes

best record was 22m, but that involves a red jackpot monster

and yes grinding party with timerys nets you around 20m exp too, so I think you guys should go solo if you wanted to, not much difference + you get all the silvers/drops

18kk xp/h is very good. For solo means 500k/h silver?

are the mobs there mostly leather? I haven’t tried leveling my Fencer yet. lol it’s still stuck at 277.

Yeah, that was the reason my builds on tosbase have maxed Concentrate.

Maybe the only reason you would max Gung Ho is if it was like concentrate, but for now, lv3 might be the minimal necessary option.

slightly less, the silvers are almost the same as what you get on workshop, I think I’ll spend all my dumplings here while solo grinding and still not use exp cards, lol

and for the solo grind to be effective, you need taunt, it really saves time.

I’m estimating 15m per hour or less for those w/out pelt.

I see.
I’m considering use full virtov plate in those maps. Dodging mobs of your level after 270+ is a pain.

I use grynas set + vubbe fighter gauntlets

Grynas has better def, + guardian = your hp will never go below 75%

I’m on eye in virtov because I can get 5,5k hp with it.
For a fragile char it will come in hand.

Yes, but it’s better to stack def if you can lower their damage to 1, which is for this case.

If you insist on virtov you need to +3 it to match the def.

(I’ll skip virov plate and get hasta)

Got guardian at lv 5 to help me.
Hasta is in game actually?

I think so, there was a thread about it

Hasta gives 56 con??? Amazing
Seems very good for a blue item.

so are we back to plates?

do you think a non-con swordie will survive the new maps? well it’s safe to consider that mostly will be playing solo, so no healer partner. it’s actually a non-related Fencer question, because I’m hoping I can get my hands on that -72 con 2h sword.

I’m still bummed at Flash mechanics and it not having attributes. And no new rapiers.

So better hold your practonium, saw a bunch of noobs running to purple weapons.

I’m using both plates and leather still, depends on the map

eg, for solo crystal mine mission or wb > leather

solo grind > plate in most cases

No con swordie can survive on /some/ maps, assuming it’s a map where you can plate+aspersion+guardian

for doppels you can go with Lhadar too but don’t use DOV, you will die or rest everytime after wave

well if a non-con swordie is out of question, then I’d rather go to that purple 2h sword, but it’s so hard to pass up that orange 2h sword.

@Lostac thanks. I’m missing Guardian on my Doppel so it’s a big def loss

no worries here, I’m actually still trying to build a non DOV doppel.

Forgot to answer your previous question, yes all monsters there are actually leather, there’s only 1 threat but spawns only 1/3 of the map, it’s the spear chipmunk dude

Opinion on this build sw1-hl3-barb-fencer3?

I don’t think Highlander offers anything for Fencers. As a fencer, you get skills that lower enemy pierce resistance while also lowering their crit defense and raising your crit damage. None of Highlanders skills are Pierce, and when you’re done using your skills, you would default to Composee until your cooldowns are off again. Low Rank attack skills don’t scale well (if you’ve seen Rank 8 skills of classes, they don’t even come close), so in most cases you aren’t going to use any of your Highlander skills later in the game. Fencers have Composee and Flanconnade (Pierce and Slash), have no cooldown, and I believe hit twice, though i’m not sure since no skill description explains this.

Barb1 only really offers Helm Chopper for its stun chance, which stun chance on mobs seems like it could be done with Restrain on Swordsman (with aoe ratio equipment and fencer’s naturally high amount of attacks). You’ll have to ask some Fencers with this setup as to how useful Restrain is, but I would hope non-boss monsters can reliably be stunned. At the very minimum, you’d want Barbarian C2 for the second stun in Seism, and the damage boost provided by Warcry (which bringing 10 monsters together would be nice with Peltasta’s Swashbuckling to get the full effect)

No Peltasta means no taunting enemies to bring them to you, no HP bonuses from Swashbuckling’s Attribute, and no Defense/Evasion bonus from Guardian if you ever need to play more defensively, for a party or anything else. I think Peltasta 1 is a must for any 1H+Shield/Dagger Swordsman class.

To me, from what I see from videos, I see Fencer as an Evasion tank class that attacks multiple times quickly and bursts well with a high crit chance (especially since Epee Guard gives you such a high crit damage multiplier it seems from the numbers I see). Sadly, they also seem to live off of mana potions due to the high cost of Composee, and their weapons break a lot due to the multiple hits. I think I’ll just go DEX/CON though the ratio I’m not sure on yet but I’m sure it’ll work regardless.

In any case, what makes you want to take Highlander C3 or Barb C1? Maybe you see something I don’t, but I don’t think Highlander is of much use.

Pure DPS fencer filler skill when epee garde cooldown
