Guide to Fencer / Doppel / Bullet Marker [PVE]

Now checking ktos base, seems IMC removed the target limit from Flash.
So we can assume they forgot to add AoE Attack Ratio on flash after remove the 10 target on it.

So Flash is locked at our basic AoE 4.
They removed this part:
최대 피격 대상 수 10명(Can hit up to 10 targets)

Here the translation:

It’s buggy like sometimes I hit 3 mobs according to my aoe attack ratio and mosr of the time only 2 mobs.

Can you guys tell what mob are you testing?

Lhadar Forest monsters, both the flying bug and nuttabug
(hits 2)

Crystal Mine Bosses
(hits 1)

aoe ratio tested with 7 and 9

Nothing strange with mobs. I thought they increased AoE def ratio.
I’ve openned a ticket and lets pray for a fast fix.

there shouldn’t be anything strange with the monsters in the first place, only flash was acting like that

and yes it needs to be fixed really I rarely have any uses for it other than single target bosses and monster finisher

I still prefer the Sw3-pelt-corsair-fencer3 build tho if you ask me,
since its future proof build

That is my current build. I did that build specifically for him don’t like peltasta.
With sw3 you can take barb2 to boost your PA and better AoE CC.

25% HP and 18% Evasion always seemed more important to me as those bonuses will always scale well. I can’t imagine losing Peltasta since it helps so much defensively. With all the linear scaling this game has, you want all the % based scaling you can get.

As much as I shouldn’t want to get back in this game, I do want to make a fencer before this game eventually dies. Gonna try the SW1 -> Peltasta -> SW3 -> Corsair -> Fencer 3 myself. I’d imagine if restrain works well enough on normal mobs (with good AOE ratio), it should do more for CC than barbarian, but I have never used restrain to know myself, not there yet.

As for damage, the game keeps trying to put bigger and stronger skills at higher ranks that you don’t really need lower rank attack skills as you level, so its better to take passives and bonuses as lower ranks. While at one point in time I did consider sw1 -> peltasta1 -> barb 3 -> fencer 3, frenzy turned out it wouldn’t work well as Fencers use skills as an auto attack replacement (composee), and Warcry’s damage bonus didn’t seem like it would really put a dent in the damage you deal (maybe with composee weaker hits, but with the new Epee Guard, your crits seem like they’ll do a ton of damage no matter what). Later skills also have higher base damage naturally, since nothing scales off your base damage, its better to use weapons for their utility than their damage (+2 to skills or something similar)

Just pretty much my observations about how this game works, can only really let the actual fencers tell you what’s what, as its just my thoughts and nothing more.

Did u try attaque au fer? Does it hit x amount of mobs according to your aoe attack ratio?

No points on that yet, it’s my last point priority, but I’ll look into it later

was delayed because I refuse to use exp cards

I can confirm this. I have 6 and I hit 3 med mobs.

Good looks. Might try to get 1 point for now. @migzzz @Lostac

For those who are making a Swordsman3, how is your point distro?

Do you benefit more Concentrate than Gung Ho? Do you prefer balancing then? No Gung Ho at all?

You can also expose other skills like Restrain.

Oh, I’m assuming everybody is taking at least 15 points in Pain Barrier. Explain why you would take less if you do it.

I maxed gung ho because in my build it will scales better than concentrate. Restrain maxed, pb maxed.
Thrust 2
Bash 3
Gung ho 15
Pain barrier 15
Restrain 10

I took Thrust because I was bored AA all day so I took that to think myself I’m not AAing.

I’m no sword3 but if Gung Ho and Guardian didn’t cancel each other out, its easy Gung Ho 15, PB 15, Restrain 10 for me. It’s still 100 free damage, it scales greatly with Epee that’s why I’m loving my Barb-Fencer with Warcry.

If I didn’t go pvp, surely I would replace corsair for highlander. Cartar Stroke I miss you…

So I’m not the only one thinking on excluding Concentrate, heh. I’m trying to calculate which gives the most damage output, as Fencer can build damage with some multihits.

We all do. Even new smite can’t achieve this.

I think my points in Swordsman 3 will be:

Bash 1
Gung Ho 3
Pain Barrier 14
Restrain 10
Concentrate 15
Pommel Beat 1
Double Slash 1

Bash, Pommel Beat, and Double Slash are for leveling and I’d imagine are never used again once you get something like Composee, so would be taken out later if managing upon a skill reset…

Gung Ho cannot be used with Guardian, but generally for tanking, you’ll use Guardian for that 18% bonus evasion and Gung Ho for when you need some more damage (for soloing when things aren’t so dangerous).

Without levels, Concentrate does not offer enough hits, while Gung Ho can already have 100% uptime at level 3, and can get its attribute, so i’d put Concentrate over Gung Ho, or just stick to Gung Ho at 15 since its easier to manage with the longer duration and no hit limitation. Concentrate also seems to scale with stats and skill level now, so its an all or none kind of skill.

+1 to this.
