LOL if I had tried to 50% stage 3 I would currently have a stage 1 bow and no blessed shards, I am not attempting that.
(selling my shards atm though, like I said 2 weeks ago, not gonna go crazy on my augfowle bow b/c I will be pursuing an astra bow next)
what astra have that is better than aufgowle for full DEX archer?
+critatk 476 and 3 socket only, right? 44DEX means nothing to fullDEX archer
astra is hands down better, like you said right off the bat, a 3rd socket, +476 crit att so basically a 4th socket if your an yellow gem user and gee, only 44 free dex, once again that’s over 4 free ellangos cards
all that being said though we don’t know when we will get the paper cubes in itos and itll be an cluster fuc* for awhile at first as always, will have to find people with orange recipes that you need to trade for ones you don’t need since its all going to be rng based

My previous equation at 280 was:
(633 - 100 <—Dullahan) * (42 / 280) = 80% crit rate
My ‘current’ Crit Rate with Swift Step right now is 733 with 289 points invested into DEX. I went with bonus points to finish it off.
My goal is to +100 crit rate from 280 and work from there. I’m also raising my crit resist in the equation to 175. I have 41 unspent stats point and 5 level to go till 330 
(733 - 175) * (42 / 330) = 71%
I’m close to getting Lolopanther Leather Gloves/Boots = 46 crit rate bonus
733 - 18 (remove virtov gloves) + 46 (from 2 set lolo) = 761 crit rate.
(761 - 150) * (42 / 330) = 75% Crit Rate.
with Astral bow;
595-892 Physical Attack
44 Dexterity
44 Critical Rate
476 Critical Damage
13 Potential 45 Durability
3 Sockets
(761 Crit Rate - 32 <-remove purple bow) + 66 ? (44DEX) + 44 crit rate = 839
(839 - 175) * (42 / 330) = 85% Crit Chance.
TL;DR around 775 - 800 crit rate for 330 against 150/175 crit resist mob.
Keep in mind this is for 2H bow.

Seem neet. should hit 100% crit with party/chrono/priest around
for me. It’s good. when we with pt. We can boost our crit or someone in party can remove crit resist anyway lol. gzzzz when I see your build I wanna use reset potion and spam point on dex lol my musket have only 550 crit rate right now T T.

I am level 131 and I’m starting to have some problems, soooo here I come with a few questions

Equip: any advice for some equip to use in this level range?
I’ve been using the same stuff since level 70 (quests rewards mostly), but I’m starting to feel the pain even from the trash mobs (the halloween events bosses pretty much oneshot me xD ).
In the action house everything seems so expensive tho

Bow vs crossbow? What’s the difference?

Is there anything (mats, or w/e) I have to keep a look-out for while leveling? Things like battle bracelet.

you can use simple equipment from your quest until lvl170

Bow have pretty high base dmg + have attribute double dmg when fight with fly mob.
XBow easy to use barrage. Can add element dmg from off hand. XBow have attribute ignore def(but we don’t see much different at low level
Mergen req bow for use skill.
3.check market everytime before sold item. almost all of halloween item = rare item while lvling.

There are 3 ways I’ve recommended at low level.
- Cafrisun (Spawn every 30 mins and usually camp by bots)
I recommended you have a set if it’s your first character though. Then you can share it VIA team storage if you want to make an alt. It’s quite a pain to farm them now since they used to spawn every 5 mins.
http://www.tosbase.com/database/items/sets/7/ - Grab w.e. you want near you level! believe it or not I think it’s the most efficient to use quest armor or just any plate armor at low level. You can use it till 170 then switch over to Roxona’s set (3 Plates + 1 Leather Gloves).
You don’t want to spend hours farming low level Bis gears since it will be useless later on anyway.
Make sure to get pardoner’s buff. This will help you a long way.
2H Bow: Deal extra damage to flying mobs
X-Bow: Ignore 25% defense (low level doesn’t really matter much)
X-bow + off hand is better (more expensive) but you should have both the X-bow / 2h to switch on the go.
keep everything! when you are in town, taking a break, look up the recipe/mats. There’s an add-on that tells you which mats are require for specific recipe.
Ah just a little reminder. In terms of party play 80-85% crit rate will be decent alone as you have chrono and priest to compensate when using yellow gems.
As for solo players or players who group less often will need a little higher for optimal when using yellow since. A 0 crit or no crit would render the gems usage being wasted,
Something along 880 or so. Any more higher investment to crit rate will be either too expensive/ inefficient.
Hm what do you guys think of switching over to Glad band? Since right now high/full dex is best?
current crit rate 735 - 74 (removes sissels) = 661 crit rate
661 + 69 (46 stats @ lv 330) = 730
in return I’ll gain (2x glads);
- 2 AoE Ratio
- 32 STR = 32 Physical attack + 32 block pen
- 188 crit attack
not sure though any thoughts?
Since now people are massively dex or full dex, sissel lost his purpose towards gladiator band and phada!
i mean the value of sissels vs glads is very good, unlike gems 74 crit rate is a good competitor vs 188 crit attack
661 is the rank 7 cap, rank 8 cap is betwen 750-800 i think? (for mobs with 0 crit resistance)
if you think you can crit a good amount of times with 661 crit rate then sure go ahead and do glads, they’ll probably add more damage
its all depends on your crit rate against rank 8 mobs.
The aoe attack ratio is another good addition to glads especially with multi shot
i might vote for glads and add the remaining of your 41 stat points into dex.
I would discard Glad band. Phada is much easier to get now that alch’s can make the dawn crystal fragments, and BB’s price is ridiculous
