We had suddenly 360 physical attack from hair costume + godlike red gems + worst mechanic ever “transcendance”, so we are all curious what overhaul or random band aid they will add.
Nicola if i remember it correctly it’s on Q&A and they mentioned INT and S"P"R not STR but yeah they nerf (relatively) STR.

Another question hope you don’t mind OP:
Does pattack on headgear and/or maxattack on redgems scale well with skill attribute and/or transcended weapons?
This can be a factor for the deciding point between yellow (crt attack flat) or red gem (max attack).

According to your experience or maybe calculation, for scout 3 falconer 1 mergen, is red gem better or yellow gem better after the gem change?
Do crit damage not affect the Mergen’s huge modifier compare to red gem?
How about Split arrow?
The reason why I ask this is because red gem only increases maximum damage, so the actual value need to be decreased by half for the average.
For example, 240 max damage is like 120 physical damage, whereas crit gem r6 gives 360 crit damage.
Does crit damage really doesn’t matter for Split Arrow and Mergen’s skills, according to your experience? I still have r5 gem on hand and still able to change it before I gem it on my weapon, so I really need to know which is better.

I have no idea on the math, that’s an Greyheim question. I chose reds b/c people said the yellow gems crit attack boost is not factored in before the critical damage multiplier but the red gems are, either way though, red or yellow, both are upgrades from the old green. Green gems all together are trash now, I stripped the green gem off my boots too, as you see I have 1300+ evasion w/o them, gonna go with a t6 blue on boots now for an extra 60 magic defense or an yellow for another 750 hp.
Your dex based on the pic is too high I mean I tried using Tosbase calcu but can’t get the same values. Do have the str, con and dex stated values? Or perhaps an add-on showing those.

his dex could actually be quite a bit higher, like I said you could another 30 just with cards, still have x2 levels left and the open sesame quest if they ever fix it
(and I have 0 invested into STR, I get +18 STR from manahas set bonus aswell as +14 on the neck)
I’ve been testing “Range Increase”. I confirm that affects single target attacks (including skills), does not affect aoe. Example, Twin Arrow is affected by the attribute.
jchsc32, enemies with high block would be the weakness of your build, right? And also you do not have any resistance to negative status with low spr.
IMO if they really connect stats to skill. for archer must be DEX like kneeling shot. But well I will wait until lastday too lol.

If they’ll make that big of a change then it is “ideally” required for them to give us a stat reset again. Just like the ones they just give, change on gems and head gear stat is a “big” change. imo.

P-atk, max attack, crit attack all scale the exact same with skill modifiers.
The only difference is that p-atk/max-atk has crit multiplier (1.5) and attack modifiers (i.e glass mole).
Red gem, even with crit multiplier is the same as a yellow gem. If’s just, red gem is max only while yellow is both max and min.
Glass mole is another factor, but it is not enough atm. Right now, all glass mole does is make red gem have higher max attack damage than yellow, but the average damage increase is still lower.
We need 10 maxed glass moles to be comparable to yellow gems. (A split arrow is exactly like 10 glass moles, so in a c3 scout’s case, red gems are better)
I do not believe transendence affects gems, but I’m not sure. I highly doubt it since gems do not go on the weapon attack stat window.
Sub weapon is obvious. Red gems are better.
Hats are similar to sub weapon. P-atk > crit atk
Hey Reilet, appreciate your thorough response as always. (I thought you’ve answer this already, the recent explanation is clearer to me since I have a scout 3). Since this is an R8 Patch … R8 skills > lower rank skills (Split shot) then Yellow gem will still be triumphant.

Yes… It is something I’ve answered about three times now.
I think scout’s will benefit more from red gems than yellow even with rank 8 classes since split arrow is spammable.
If a scout can get their hands on glass mole and use it off cooldown, then red is better than yellow… For split arrow.
For everything else… Well red would be a gamble

Anyways your point on Split shot being spammable is noted and the difference between yellow and red gem is close (convincing myself here). I’ll be leaning again towards red gem again. Just according to keikaku, building my scout3>falc>mergen to red gem + glass mole combo.
Lol, the difference between red and yellow is on average 25% from their gem stats only. It does go as high as 50% stat difference assuming you are near 100% crit chance.
The actual total damage difference is, I’m guessing, around 10~20% only.
