Great, more restrictions

Well all those negative reviews on steam complaining about draconian trade restrictions between friends or low spawn rates suggests to me those issues are pretty damn important too…

imc is perfectly okay with watching their review score go down the drain but missed dlc profits? That warrants a next day ‘fix’???

Well it’s their game, they can do whatever they want, they can even add more restrictions, but RMTs/Bots will always be around, they will always be lurking in the game. And who will be gone instead? Future players interested in the game, that’s who.

Sweet sweet irony.

Vubbe fighter blood, battle bracelet to name a couple.

One solution is much easier to implement than another. When it comes to losing money, their livelihood, of course that is top priority. It is for any business. The trade issue (which they have already acknowledge and said they’d rectify) and the team storage issue (same thing) are being taken care of. They might take longer to implement. I can’t really say.

How would they even know the value when just starting out?

Not everyone checks that stuff right away. Hell, I didn’t know Talt sold for 3k to npcs til around yesterday.

It’s hard to implement spawn rate increases too??? Maybe for friend trading but spawn rate is literally a number they change. How long has the community been asking for better spawn rates again? And their solution is a barely noticeable encounter increase…

You know, it’s not like a player asks for x and they do it. It has to go through a lot of people and they have to test it too. Not to mention, this game, while it is it’s own build, is a localization of a Korean game. It’s not as if iToS has a stack of developers who can change whatever they want as they see fit. I am positive it has to go through the developers in Korea first.

Talt sells to NPCs for 5k. So they’d know how to check things out because they’re just slightly more intelligent than you. No offense, but players aren’t new born babies. The entire reason people are upset with trades is because IT IS something NEW to have such HEAVY RESTRICTIONS. What isn’t new is learning a game’s economy, that’s consistent throughout an online gamer’s strat, or at least should be.[quote=“KingSponge, post:66, topic:192909, full:true”]

Personally I don’t mind this since it won’t effect me anymore lol

But your damn right man, all the restrictions in this game along with cash walls, their really pushing a lot of players away by restricting fun for the sake of profit and trying to stop a botting market that is still 100% present and going strong by the looks of the constant spamming.

You can’t ever stop the websites selling gold 100%, if no company before has been able to do it what makes them think they will be successful by punishing players non stop?

How about focus on stopping the bots in the first place hey?

Because roughly 30 times per day you see WTS/WTB vubbe fighter blood/bracelet.

You see more, but those items come later.

Additionally with being able to sell after 72 hours + 48 hours delivery you are looking at 5 days from creating the account to getting any form of silver from the market. The game isn’t terribly inflated yet, but in a month or two they won’t be able to afford dipshit with what little raw silver they gain along the way.

It probably feels great to constantly have no silver to purchase anything, because the entry ticket to the market that comes with the very first item you do not need and sell is restricted further.

The idea itself isn’t terrible, but the bottom line is it might be the nudge that pushes a beginner away for little to no benefit.

Someone that creates ghost accounts for the exploit can just wait 3 days to begin with… Botters can create accounts today and let them rest for 3 days so what are we gaining here?

This event demonstrates that the process you are describing can literally happen overnight. It must have taken some coding to implement restrictions on only new teams and only for selling items.

This is what their 100% effort looks like, I hope we can at least agree on that.

Payments have grace periods anywhere from 48-72 hours. (2-3 business days)
THIS is probably what IMC is combating so the back charges won’t happen.

No idea what my intelligence has to do with the fact that I was questing and figuring out the basics of the game before getting to learn the market o.o

Which is the point I’m making that NEW players will be spending their first few days figuring out the game before playing with the market.

What’s the odds of a person getting the drop?
Now what’s the odds of the person that gets the drop actually gives a crap?

You’re all basing this on the notion of every player is experienced or actually cares about the game that much.

It’s just 72 hours, not 3 months. Use that 72 hours to level your character and actually get somewhere in the game.

So much things to do than trying to sell your straw man vubbe fighter blood.

Yes but the priority is different. Developers and companies move a lot faster when there is this kind of exploit being used. Team Storage and Trading does not cost them money or inflate their sales. This is on a completely different level. You can’t expect the same kind of response time on debated issues.

And you must remember, the token exploit hasn’t been going on for a few days. Literally the week after the early access launch it has been going on.

Ikr? Games generally pile up issues than patch in 1-2 weeks when they can actually sit and make layouts on what to do.

As to exploits, if they don’t do emergency maint. for it then it can get to the point where we need a server wipe.

Money/Playerbase > Trades/Respawn rates

KingSponge you are completely right if the player doesn’t care, then there isn’t a problem, but what if he cares?

See that is the difference between us. You claim nobody has an item that is worth something within 3 days, yet I clearly remember vubbe fighter blood selling after a couple of hours.

So your fiction tries to stands against my reality check, which will happen again when the game hits F2P.

People will be getting these drops or others trying to trade for these things specifically and be restricted. They might care, they might not. Definitely there will be some that will care - it doesn’t matter if you think they should level further.

i am not even gonna bother to reply to this tread anymore.
clearly we can see the majority having to know wats right and wats wrong.
P2W? pfft .pls… the is the whole reason why we have this mess now.
RMT and ppl who just wanna rush their account.
getting to the top first, like wat princemark said. take it, or leave it. i do stand firm at IMC’s temporary restriction.

I think you can safely remove player base from the left side of your inequality. Real spawn rate increases have been asked for weeks… this is something most of the player base agrees should change…

So pretty much:

Money > playerbase/trades/spawn rates

I’m really glad imc has shown their true priorities… if they were wise they’d have treated playerbase as equally important as money…

One thing I wish ToS had is Chat rooms like RO. That’s something that’d be nice.

Very simple, you are not able to trade money via your alts, so you need to do a trading game with a friend to get money over to your other char. What they really need to do is allow the shared bank to hold all money on the account so i can xfer over a couple 100k to my alts to make stuff a bit eaiser.
