General kTest Thread

The mystery of if they are actually going to use them in open or is jsut for the people playing is the one that has me curious. It’s the most likely, but who knows.

Better is relative since to me better = longer. I love grinding ;p

There’s also barely any quests past 200. This game is going to turn away alot of casual players but im fine with that.

I didn’t play first iCBT but I can say it feels alot slower than iCBT2. I think alot of people ask for faster xp but if they hit level cap they will say they are bored and quit. Better they quit from long grind and let us grinders have a game for once xD

I think it’s better to have a bit higher exp, I’m not asking for 10x or 20x rate but at least 3x rate. Because you need to play at least 2-3 characters so with 1x rate it’s almost impossible to do so.

why do you need to play 2-3 characters 0.o

the developers themselves told us to play multi-character ‘3’

i’ve heard that while characters are locked in tutorial zones rates are 0.5x. Nothing unusual there - they’ve given 2 days so you can claim your character’s (family) name and not to grind for monster gems/silver/exp.

The question is why would you play only 1 character? There are 4 base classes with multiple paths, even if you hate half of the game you should at least play 2 characters.

Also some characters are good for making money offline like squire or pardoner, so no reason not playing them, set up shop, then off to play another character.

I can’t seem to find any for male mages, are they just not included atm?

I wouldn’t sweat it too much mate.

CBT’s aren’t known for having events but OBT’s occasionally have them depending on how long the OBT is ran. By the looks of how the exp tables were made and how low the base amounts are, and how they’ve tested already the 3x etc rates effectiveness, I’d venture to say they will likely be holding countless mini-events like double exp weekends and the likes come release (and maybe even here in the OBT).

Kind of like the absurdity of 50% off sales. Item is worth $10 so you mark it as $20 and then slap a 50% off sticker on it. Suddenly the idea of saving 50% sounds so much better as you expect the actual worth to be the “suggested retail” price listed i.e. getting a $10 for $10 isn’t noteworthy but zomg getting a $20 item for $10 is worth.

I think they planned for the 3x and 7x (was it?) rates we’ve seen and they liked the numbers; 1x exp sounds like a grind but there will likely be enough events to keep the average around 3x (7x on weekends during whatever event, 1x during the week, average play time should likely balance to a blanket 3x exp all around). Instead of just making it 3x though they have the opportunity now to use events and make us grateful for them, just like the 50% sale concept XD

I could be way off base though, I haven’t had the opportunity to play a lot of Korean MMO’s in their native elements =P

Right now a maximum free TP you can get is 5 (2 hours per 1 point).

Dear god I hope that is only temporary o.o Maybe just to stall people who are rushing to climb quickly? First ones to cap will likely be the richest in the server; first ones to offer specific services, first ones to get valuable ingredients to push on the market, first ones to band together and share timers and retain exclusivity…

At least I’m hoping it’s just a temporary thing… I felt they needed to increase a lot of spawn rates in our cbt o.o

Any other word on the spawn rates atm? Interested to see how they’re taking this o.o

see for yourself, the respawn rate is horrible.
