General Grades for Class Ranks (Updated 6/2/2016)

Isn’t separating the ranks for each class/cycle by: Damage/Defense/Utility a good idea? I think that way it will be easier to check the class’s strengths and weaknesses.

For example: Archer C1 would be B/D/C (In my point of view), while falconer would be D/C/A~S

That’s why we need you here to inform them.
tbh, I don’t like this topic either since too many ppl giving mislead information. And OP hopelessly trying to get ppl opinion in one fixed post which is from the begining impossible. (ppl is ppl, they think differently, and you cannot say majority win since the game will change and this society is stupid and ignorant at root).
Scout in overall is kinda bad like you said but I think it should have a B for synergy and utilities given. +5 Run speed is actually suck in every scenarion except for setting up position and running away. Otherwise, I dont find Scout much useful for giving up ton of dmg skills in other classes like A3 for some mediocre lv 5 Flare Shot and 3 utility skills.

I loved this.

I said that all the time.

Ppl should play the fu*&¨%$# ranger c3 > fletcher c3 before, and after that, say “it sux.”

I know how it works. Read my reply. It’s gimmicky. Still doesn’t make Scout C1 a good class.

Also, don’t see how Fletcher is relevant here as it wasn’t mentioned in our conversation.

@Dream

How to salvage A2 QS3 at rank 6 and 7 so they stay relevant for PVE contents? Is Falconer + Canoneer the best option? Thanks in advance!

Yes, Falconer + Cannoneer seems a good option. It will be expensive but try to get Vubbe Fighter Gloves and all headgear costume with AOE Attack Ratio. After that, prioritize getting your attributes to very high levels especially Multi-Shot, Cannon Shot and Cannon Blast. Multi-Shot stop at Lv80, Cannon Shot/Blast can stop at Lv50. After that, get your Gladiator Bands.

If you don’t like the idea of stacking too much AOE Attack Ratio because you only have few skills that benefits from it, take Schwarzer Reiter C2 for Rank 6 and 7 instead for Lv10 Retreat Shot. The 40s cooldown is nothing compared to the massive AOE damage it does, and with a Chrono C3 around, you can use it alot more frequently.

While I find your ratings for QS genuinely amusing, I would contend that QS1 is a LOT better than an F.

Pavise and Caltrops are very good skills for utility even with just 1 circle. Their damage isn’t exactly fantastic, but QS1 isn’t about damage, it’s about utility. The defensive applications of these two skills make QS1 almost worth it by themselves imo.

But Stone Shot is the real game changer. At level 5, its a 6 second stun with ZERO cooldown. It’s only limit is how good your SP pots are. That is literally the end of the game for 1v1 PVP, and its ability to hit multiple mobs with Strike damage makes it a valuable leveling tool for low-level PVE.

I’m not sure I’d recommend taking only 1 circle of it in another build, but that’s just because there are probably better options. It, in itself, is not so bad an option. I feel like it should be at least C, but i would honestly rank it a B.

…circle 2 is a joke though. The only thing valuable it does is unlock Circle 3 really lol.

Wanna give it an A or S for pvp then?

scout c1 should be ranked SS. You know why ?
camouflage: good both for pvp and pve
flu flu (only need 1 lv): tool that can lure mobs in pve
flare shot: high dps against bosses, also counter skill against safety zone
cloaking: good both for pvp and pve (pve: rush dungeon, avoid mobs, map running)

4 useful skills in almost any situation and it only took 1 rank
that 's why it deserved SS

Any grading for clerics soon?

I’ve only made this guide because I’ve made 5 different archer alts for daily dungeon running, can’t say the same for clerics so I wouldn’t have the same depth of knowledge.

@sudonim7 Hi, i have these couple of path/build in mind, do you mind to give me some insight like pros and cons for each build?thank you very much, i really appreciate it.

  1. A2-R2-F3

  2. A2-R1-Scout1-F3

  3. A1-QS3-A2-Falconer-Canooner

  4. A1-R1/A2-Sapper2-Rogue1-Scout1-Canooner

  5. A1-QS3-F3

So for 1&2 which one do you think better to take, R2 or Scout 1, doesnt take scout 1 reduce my pve world bossing dmage? and for number 4, which one is more viable build, taking R1 or A2 for rank 2?and about the stats should i go more str or more dex on each one of the path?im sorry for asking a lot, but thank you very much for the help

  1. A2-R2-F3

Decent, but R2 is more or less considered a bad pick because it doesn’t provide any new skills for you to use and ranger skills have poor scaling in general.

  1. A2-R1-Scout1-F3

This is currently the meta world bossing spec, at least for the ones where you compete for cubes. Archer2 R1 Wugu1 Fletcher3 will easily out dps any build in the game provided another wugu doesn’t show up.

  1. A1-QS3-A2-Falconer-Canooner

People usually run Musket in this build because the sole purpose of this build was for Earth Tower, QS3lets you pretty much solo clear Floor 3, Musket’s purpose was to snipe ghosts, and Falconer was to provide additional aoe support

You could potentially run A1 QS3 Rogue1 and it will let you do some silly gimmicks at world bossing.

  1. A1-QS3-F3

This is kind of a hybrid between a farming build and a world bossing build, sadly to say it will not be optimal in either but it is still be above average in both.

You might pull off better DPS on world bosses that fly or move around alot though.

Hi, thank you very much for the awesome reply, i was wondering, do you mind elaborate more on the silly gimmicks thing?thank you very much

I’ve never done it myself but this is my rough understanding of how it works.

You have a party member cast a ground-magic skill like Cure16 or Frost Cloud and you capture it as a rogue. When you reuse the skill again, all the damage from the skill is considered a physical attack, meaning that it can crit and get buffed by Running shot.

So you capture a cure16 skill, when you recast it, it gets converted into a 280% damage cast of the original skill operating off of your Physical Attack, and with sneak hit at level 5 you’ll crit at 70% from behind. This can lead to some insane amounts of burst, more than enough to do 1/6th the health of boss like dullahan (takes 2x damage from cure16) almost instantly.

The biggest problem is that once you cast it, you’re pretty much dry on dps for 3 minutes, so if you miss it or the boss moves out of it, you’re ■■■■■■. Also if any one else reversi’s it, recaptures it, or in anyway nullifies it, you’re pretty much guaranteed no cube.

False.

Any captured magic based skill would still be magic and it would take your stats into account as well as your attributes.

Another thing is Running Shot does not give direct % damage increase. It’s a modifier added on top of your normal attacks.

There is a glitch though on kTOS regarding Cure but I already tested it in-game and it doesn’t work. Oh, and the glitch has no relation with Capture at all.

Hmm, i’ve been fed wrong information then. I was told captured skills all become physical based and that they’re treated as auto-attacks when they deal damage.

There must be some kind of misunderstanding about that Cure bug. This cure bug I’m talking about uses your physical attack and even the damage type of your weapon. Some Ranger C3s abuses this and makes their Cure do ridiculous amount of damage with the help of Steady Aim. I won’t say how to reproduce the glitch though, well since it seems to be fixed already anyways.

If it’s fixed, there’s no point in mentioning it then. Thanks for the info dream.

Ah, I would also like to note something about Reversi.

Capture says it captures enemy spells. Same with Reversi, it flips enemy spells. Capture though has an attribute that makes it possible to capture even allies spells.

So here’s my point. I can’t capture a neutral player’s spell even with it’s attribute learned. Yet reversi can flip a neutral player’s spell even though it has similar concept as Capture.

I already reported this because this is obviously becoming a griefing tool.
