I think the real question is why are people making such a big deal out of it.
The game is going F2P soon. The only buying that will be done after that is TP. And when was a cashshop ever intended for people who cant afford to spend money loosely?

The reason being is that this will carry over into purchasing TP and therefore anything else in the game that’s paid for. It doesn’t end with just the packs.
You said “you don’t HAVE to pay IMC”, except, you know, if the prices weren’t idiotic for those countries, people COULD and WOULD pay. You don’t seem to get that, so instead of players paying less of what an American would pay for the same items, IMC is getting nothing because the can no longer afford it due to how much more someone from those countries would have to work for the same cash value. $20 USD is only two hours work or less. It could be 6 hours work in other countries for that same amount. There’s no sense to losing out on money people are willing to pay by making this decision. It only loses potential customers as well as players

I paid 45 eur because I live in EU even though my country is probably somewhere at the bottom of EU average wage.
I’m not complaining I can of course afford it otherwise I wouldn’t have bought it, but it’s not true that regional prices were fair. They were good for some and bad for others.

DarkWolf is correct that they will initially lose some money over this. I have a feeling that once the game launches, however, the prices will be back to being regional for TP. It’s unfortunate you can’t buy discounted packs currently, but it’s not a big deal in the grand scheme of things.

What you fail to understand is, how regional pricing can be abused for RMTs… which would definetly be of bigger loss to IMC.
And they will definetly have server based TP pricing once the server transfers are completed.
Have they stated this somewhere? I have not read it. It is the most logical course of action, but I haven’t seen any info on it.
RMTs are going to do what RMTs do. You can’t stop them. If you have to hurt your player base more in order to only bother the RMTs, you’re doing it wrong.
The F2P release is coming, even if they don’t buy the packs right now, they’ll be coming back when the accounts are free and by larger amounts.
People should stop caring about IMC’s well-being. We are all posting here for our own and game’s sakes. Counting IMC’s cash really looks silly.
I am posting here because IMC deceived the playerbase and me personally, we don’t even know much about IMC itself, we only see some STAFF members and it looks like they have no idea what’s going on themselves. I am unhappy with poor decisions and speak my mind.
What that guy does is provokes you all to discuss IMC’s profits. You both know that neither of you actually have any idea about their situation. So yep, that’s a troll.

No they should not. They definitely should not stop caring about IMC at all. IMC both developed and is publishing this game. That’s a huge expenditure. If you want to see this game in the future, you must care about their well being. That said, they should treat their players well. You have to care about both the player-base AND the company. Something that both sides are failing to do fairly often here.
You dont seem to get there is no point in there. If people really care to pay that much, they still can. It will just take longer to pay for the same.
I dont know, maybe being on the poorer spectrum of my own countries economy gives me a different perspective on the value of money.

Yeah wages are higher. So are living expenses. Its never as simple as comparing countries average wages.
Players who are far more vocal about the amount they have to pay, rather then what they get with that money (what TP currently can be used for).

Thats certainly true. But the reason they changed their prices and dropped regional is due to the banking fiasco. And personally I have a hard time believing only RMTs used that.
Well they are the ones making the game. Logically atleast some concern seems in place here.
Well technically you can do this once the game goes free to play, just spend $5 in the cash shop instead of $10 on some kind of pack and hey guess what, less perks. Games, however, will always offer more bang for your buck the more you spend, that will never change. It’s like the phone games that give increasingly more gems per dollar the more you spend at once.
America: Wages are higher, Living expenses are higher, a game’s cash shop points are higher because their wages are high to support it.
Elsewhere: Wages are lower, living expenses are lower, a game’s cash shop points are higher (instead of being low to match average earnings.)
So… what are you trying to prove to me here?

That’s just a waste of effort. They will never listen to you if you speak about their profits and such. What they should listen too is your complaints about the product they deliver. Price included. Because delivering quality product should be their way to make money.
