Yes this was the case where unless you are full strength you will never get pass this stage (for archer).
So just get a PD/Meme/Doppel to do the work while you eat cookies and finish your job at F5 and F10 
but both of my mergen are dex build…hmmmm
try dealing with stage one alone without linker nor falconer @_@ and see how much block you can pen through hogma with high dex build, since linker and falconer are the one who spread the damage you deal to shaman to hogmas instead of direct damage
honestly might as well ask a pd or vice versa to clear stage one lol. the rest is a breeze
