[Feedback] Cannoneer C2 Skills

I’m really satisfy with Cannoneer C2.
But I still have some questions/problems to ask.

1.Smoke Grenade doesn’t affect Boss type monsters, so Cannoneer skills can’t deal extra damage to a boss in the smoke. Is this designed as intended?

2.Bazooka is really hard to use due to the set up time and attack speed, and most of the important is … character animation will 100% break while using and after using Bazooka. Now, the fastest way to cancel Bazooka is re-equipment your weapons since un-equip cannon will cancel Bazooka immediately without waiting 1.5sec animation.

3.Cannoneer skills spend so much SP! I have 2000 SP but each skill cost me at least 100SP after maximize the skill level.

4.Sometimes Smoke Grenade can’t use successfully if you cast it too fast. I have to hold the key and stand still for a little bit while to make it fire.

5.The basic attribute Increase Maximum Weight can not be stacked with the Increase Maximum Weight from Sapper? Is this designed as intended?

Hello, fellow cannon c2 here. I agree with a lot of your comments. I believe that there should be an incoming patch to make cannon c2 more of…a blast (get it?). That being said:

  1. I noticed this too as well with smoke grenade. It’s quite annoying and I am hoping that this gets changed since I am pretty sure the musket butt stroke still works on bosses.

  2. As of now, bazooka is just straight up awful, even with running shot. The bonus attack speed of running shot does not apply, and as you mentioned, the animation problems and slowness. There is supposed to be an additional flat damage bonus to it too, but again, I guess it hasn’t been implemented.

  3. I think the sp consumption aspect really depends on the build. As a QS3 wugu2 cannon, r8 actually gives me AN EXCUSE to use so potions. I can see builds like Fletcher 2 cannons suffering a lot from the mana problems though.

  4. There is something buggy with smoke grenade casting. I am finding the same issues as well. The problem is actually exacerbated if you have a different subweapon in, and cast it too fast. You end either sitting there like an idiot, or in most cases you FLAT OUT CRASH. I hope IMC fixes this, but given the past experiences, I’m rather doubtful.

P.S. Your cannon barrage should be hitting MUCH harder. Currently the flat damage shown is the damage of all 3 hits combined. A Kris patch in late Aug just made so it is that the mentioned damage applied each hit, rather than be the total of the 3 hits. In other words, each time you cast cannon barrage (out of the 2 times due to overheat) should be on par with a cannon blast

Damn, that suck, here i thought i would had an extra debuff for boss fights.

This really need rework, its not viable the way it is,attack speed aside, the setup and removal is pretty long leaving you to be slaughtered. And thanks for the fast removal trick.

I don’t have much problem on that one, with a set of 50 Lv10 or Lv 5 SP pots i can go for hours (that is counting i am in a group or at least with a healer or i will have to stop every now and then for HP pots).

I am guessing it is a bug in it, i mean, we don’t have the time to stand to use it, specially in the new maps.

Probably a bug, or it wouldn’t be viable to have both classes in a build.

Smoke Screen don’t work on bosses, can be resisted and some monsters are immune to it this should be changed asap, and imo the cooldown should be 25 seconds instead of 33 to match Cannon Blast cd.

i totally agree with you.

  1. if it is “working as intended”, please reconsider.
  2. bazooka is kinda “lame”. the animation is way too long, the damage is awful
  3. i have 2.4k sp, but it is drained as fast as a fletchers sp-bar.
  4. smoke grenade is a good idea, but it is kinda buggy :confused:
  5. no sapper here, sorry.

because of how it works atm and the low damage, i did not pick up cannon barrage yet…

This is maybe out of topic but, what stats do you have cannoner guys? :wink: what should I focus to maximize cannon skills damage?

After calculation I changed my full STR Archer3-Sapper3-Cannoneer2 to full DEX. The base damage just too high. And I am not Rouge or Wugushi.

Full DEX just suit my character well. It gives me great ave. damage.

We already knew full dex or almost favored most of physical rank 8 builds but… now the new gems totally shame the full str builds definitely.
Let’s see what will happen again if rank 9 comes out if the game remains alive.

If you don’t mind me asking, does quicken increase your attack speed during bazooka?

Unfortunately, it does not.

Daily reminder that Cannon Barrage is the only offensive Cannoneer skill that don’t have a % modifier on it besides the flat damage increase, daily reminder that that Cannon Barrage don’t even fit the Cannoneer theme from c1 (Low cooldown skills with % modifiers) because all the other skills have a % modifier and cooldown lower than 30 seconds.
