Hello guys, I’m a player from Telsiai and have been played the game since June. I’m rerolling an Ar3 > Wugu2 > Falconer, level 210 as of now. I’ll be advancing to rank 7 in several days yet haven’t decided plan for next ranks. At first I aimed to r7 Scout -> r8 Mergen but with a lot of Mergens running around lately I just wanna try other class, which is Cannoneer.
I know that Cannoneer’s current state is quite underwhelming compared to other rank 8, I just decide to bet on later rank 9 that the class will be given a new light. So any Cannoneer senpais out here can share your insight/thoughts (pros and con and difficults with leveling/grinding…) about this class ? Thank you very much! I appreciate every reply !
Cannon2 is the worse rank8 in the archer tree, if you wanna be a cannon2 be aware that it sucks.
If you still wanna be a cannoneer know that we are good for pvp and fun to play but suck in pve, its easy to level because if your grind parties have a linker you can kill everything linked in a cannon blast.
Also have no hope that c3 will be any better IMC added a skill without % modifier at c2 while every other cannon c1 skill has % modifier and our debuff that has a uptime of 1/3 don’t affect bosses and flying mobs, if anything expect c3 to be even worse.
But as i said the class is fun and good for pvp, i like being a cannoneer and wouldn’t change my class if i could but not everyone feels the same about the disappointing c2.

The most important point that makes me choose a class is “is it fun or not”. I won’t play an OP class if I find its playstyle “boring”. And you said it’s fun to play, that’s what I expect to hear 
Still, do you mind sharing your build and stats and gears ? Which cannon is affordable except Agvara ?
A thread about cannon c2
Get enough con to have at least 20k hp and everything else dex, this will depend on your headgear enchants and red gems on the top/bottom slots.
I got 27k hp and 24k hp in TBL with 80 con invested, you need at least 20k hp or inquis are going to oneshot you.
I don’t know what else to say, if you enjoy the class theme go for it and have fun.
cannoneer2 here, well it true that cannon2 aren’t that strong compare to R8, but not useless, the AoE dps can’t compete with SR, but with chrono’s pass + sp potion our dps is a lot better.
compare to cannon1 the C2 skills seem for more pve, smoke granade isn’t good because of boss/some resist mob, but still has some use in grinding and rushing dungeon(use blind to CC mob), cannonade dmg isn’t impressive, but stun chance isn’t bad to CC mob.(because it’s true multi hit)
I don’t put any point in bazooka so I can’t tell you, but the skill seem like pve lazy farming only IMO.
There’s problem about weapon, because your skill dmg come from cannon which is sub weapon, you’ll need to spare your resource(silver/blessgem/practonium) to invest in both you cannon and your main weapon(But I think our dmg will get a lot better when iToS release 315 orange weapon thinking of cannon with 3red gem+xbow with 3yellow gem)

Elementalist was a god, Swordsmen were all sht, and SR was nothing special just a few months ago. Play what you want to play, you are just as likely to be completely ■■■■■■ over in the next major class update as you are to become the new meta. IMC works in mysterious ways. Cannoneer2 doesn’t seem that terrible right now either way, since you already have Falconer in your build.
Thanks ! Your reply is very helpful. Yeah, I somewhat have been warned that the gears for Cannoneer will be very costly and need a lot of investment. For now I’m farming for Vista cannon to craft Enhanced one, do you think it’s good enough for the period prior to 315 cannon? I searched around for other cannons but they’re not really common and not easy to farm/craft.
IMO vista is great and not too hard to farm compare to those other 220cannon
