what was the buff pheasant is getting? besides the chance to stun, the one that has something to do with circling and doing pheasant?

allowed to cast pheasant and have it work during circling and other falconer moves.

atm, if you try to use it at any time other than perfect (specially with pre-empetive strike on), it just doesn’t happen because it overlaps with the animation of whatever is starting up or ending

save 1 point for hovering. Hovering is good for pvp since its a continous knock down type. When future patch comes out you will be able to toggle hovering and sonic strike on and off.

Hovering lv 3 at least for the extra atk speed~

I am pretty sure he was trying to ask about the dot which is poison element type. All of the initial hits are physical ofc. Which is why its a weird question. An i didnt clarify what questions were weird i said people ask weird questions and simply clarified what type of skills circling 3 does multiply.

From what i saw it was only pheasant being able to be used during other skills. This was from a ktos video after patch. I will try to find the video.

Also I noticed for et throwing down roost is sorta helpful if you are stationary in a spot. You wont have to use call at all. After each skill and when theres no monsters to attack during pre emptive strike, the falconer goes back on the roost and waits for next command. This is good so you wont have to worry about it flying away during certain parts of et or like uphill.

didn’t one of KToS patches also lower call’s CD to one second without the attribute? So far, roost is a waste of skill point in my opinion.

thats true but then sometimes call has a huge delay for the bird to actually come back since the bird can get stuck. You will have alot of free extra points for Falconer 3 an roost is just 1 point lol.

And this one is Itos a very good detail on hidden mechanic of the circling itself. Even I didnt know it could multiply certain attributes until seeing this.

Also there is a hidden mechanic when using any circling from falconer1-falconer3 for a hoplite 3. Circling doubles the damage of spear throw no matter what.

I’ve been wanting that patch since it was announced, regarding that second video, I once tried to express the same thing through words, got to the same conclusions, but that video is better explained.

As for roost, I still wouldn’t waste a point on it. I remember reports from long ago stating that it broke the hawk from back when it was working proper. Haven’t read any fixes regarding roost, that doesn’t mean that it hasn’t been fixed, I just haven’t read any record stating so.

For a skill that maintains your hawk around, when taking into consideration the long CD of all falconer skills, it actually doesn’t make sense, the only scenario I perhaps see an use to it is when paired to a scout that wants to remain stealthy. Even then F9 and turn off the hawk seems more straightforward.

Unless they add some attribute that somehow makes it a must have, it is not. atleast in my opinion.

as of now leaning towards the last one.

I’m for a2 > sapp2 > scout1

because flare shot + boom trap + aiming , not to mention cloak (for map exploration. lol) :smiley:

Yes and yes.

Yes, Pre-emptive strike also can also activate during circling - which technically breaks the little bird’s brain. Which causes the falcon to stop following you, and automatically teleports the bird when it uses its attack skills - i.e. pheasant, sonic strike, etc. And if the skill kills an enemy, there will be a delay before the enemy is actually killed in your screen.

I will try to upload a better video, maybe once maintenance is over.

I’ve had bad experiences with roost, because the bird won’t initiate your orders until it has landed on the roost. Meanwhile, “chaining” commands work wonders but does break the bird so you have to be smart when you do it. I’ll do a video once servers are up.

I’m considering this build too if I wanna make a fal 3.

It’s hard to go without cloak in end-game as archer.

Indeed, also, forgot to mention that scout offers a handy cc via Flu Flu

fluflu is… weird. sometime i can aggro the enemies, other time i make them fight each other. rather unpredictable if i may say so

You get the same effect with sonic strike.

Not sure if this may have already been asked here or somewhere else before - since Falcon damage relies on the player’s pAtk IIRC (until that pet bonus attribute comes to iTOS), does it mean red gems will be better than yellow even for QS3 builds?

How about the Falcon’s crit rate? What affects it - player or falcon stats?
