Falconer 3 - Skill Question

Hi,

I was thinking abit about the First-Strike skill. It can cast Hovering or Sonic Strike. But the Sonic Strike dmg is way higher.
What do you think about to dont skill Hovering at all and just max Sonic Strike, so the Hawk will only cast Sonic Strike automatically?

If i m not mistaken… even your hovering is level 0, ur hawk will still use lvl1 hovering. I m not sure but there is video in youtube. Maybe i see wrong.

Edit : I am wrong. From the video, it seems to use sonic strike only. Sorry for the confusion @_@

Im planning this build as well especially for me hovering is very single target dps and knockdown is good but i rather it spam sonic strike with high dps if it could only

So is there anyone with lv0 hovering can confirm if it uses lv1 hovering or wont ? would be much appreciated xoxo ty !

Did someone say video?

@greyhiem my guildmate is debating with me now he said this video was a testing video and falcon actually uses both skill with or without skill level on it ? :S

If you have both skills the falcon will use both:

The other vid falcon uses 0x Hovering attack, because hovering is lvl 0.

This is the same girl, before she used skill -reset to remove hovering. Note how her falcon uses hovering attack & sonic strike attack:

Another video.
Do you notice the pattern? If you learn Hovering + Sonic Strike, the falcon will always sonic -> hovering -> sonic -> hovering…
If you have only 1 skill, the falcon will always sonic -> sonic -> sonic…
Or hover -> hover -> hover…

I can’t guarantee anything of course, and the KToS is still changing, so they might change this. I only provide you the videos.

Currently falcon is quite buggy, so be aware.

Recommend hovering (no sonic strike) for PvP if you like 100% guarantee hit + knockup/knockback.
Recommend sonic strike (no hovering) for blind CC in PvE, and maybe PvP too (Blind CC is blocked by CC immunity - a lot of it in PvP).

i appreciate u so so much im so sry for troubling u with all these videos T.T

Im glad to learn more knowledge abt em tyvm <3 !!!

hope i can just use sonic strike =/

No worries, you are not troubling me.

I hope you may choose the class you enjoy the most, and have a lot of fun - since the game is still changing and nerfs/buffs will happen.

I’d be careful in casting preemtive strike during PvP atleast not until you’re certain there’s no kabbalist in the other team

Good advice.

And always cast Aiming first, it will enlarge enemy player hitbox. You will hit them easily. The aiming duration exceeds its Cooldown. I have seen this on PvP vids and it is quite nice.

Since you’re so resourceful could you link me one of those videos, please?
Is it as effective as it is in PvE? that would be interesting.

Is it an enlarged hitbox for all types of damage or does it only work for physical damage? I see the danger of a field covered in ground hazards whilst having a huge hitbox. Awesome for the attacking team, not so much for the other end.

Guys, hi.

Say I want to make a falconer purely for PvE. I mean falconer 3.

How do you think, what previous circles can benifit Circling and other Falconer skills the most?

Basically to be a support char in PvE with some aptitude for AoE damage.

UPD. Actually, what about Archer2-Sapper3-Falconer3?

Hard for me to say, I’ve only experienced hunter 3 falconer.
Multishot is great with circling thats a sure one, but that’s an archer skills.

Anything with AoE attack ratio benefits from circling,
Hovering is not reliable.
sonic strike doesn’t deal high damage on that high cooldown (fixed on the auto attacking with preemtive strike, so it would be additional damage on the side)
Pheasant is an AoE knock down, Dunno how good its damage is beyond level 1 though.

To be honest falconer seems like could be used by anything from prior circles and benefit anything from circle nine onwards.

~my speculation~
Why it would benefit anything from rank 1~5? well circling will have that attribute that has 75% chance to replicate any physical attack that was dealt inside its area of effects so anything could benefit from it. I had an argument with awoo on this, as there’s little proof of this beign as I’ve described it, so take it as a grain of salt.

@Awoooo said something about archers missiles not beign truly physical, but as I’ve said there’s little proof of this, must be because that attribute is kind of expensive. 25.5 millions to upgrade.

So. choose whatever you’d like to combine with falconer.

I understand there are some hidden mechanics in this combo? Or so I’ve been told by a player I have no reason not to trust.

Almost the same plan I have. Only exception is mine is A1-R1-S3-F3 in the end. I am curious if it turns out to be worth the trouble and will report anything worth doing so, once R8 is out!

PvP rank8, falcon Aiming on the players (Purple):
You do see the effect, however they aren’t using a strategy with it. I could see Aiming + nuke skill work.

And (less visible):

Too bad dragoon dethrone = best PvP nuke.

Question:

  1. Sonic Strike is an AOE attack? Does aoe atk ratio affect it if its an aoe skill?
  2. When your falcon using skills, can they use another skills at the same time? (circling + aiming) or (circling + aiming + sonic strike)?

Aiming is like a buff so it can be used along circling or hovering or pheasant.

Now you can’t circle + hover + sonic strike, it’s only one skill per call. Sonic strike does deal AoE damage but I don’t know if it’s fixed or it’s based on AoE attack ratio, for what I’ve seen it can hit something like 3 ~ 4 enemies at the same time.
