Just skimmed, but thought I’d dispel a particular notion. Hunter has one AoE, and that’s Rush Dog. Rush Dog’s AoE is incredibly tiny though, but it’s there.
Also, Coursing is probably pretty bad since it doesn’t work on bosses.

I’m having a hard time deciding on my build;
Its either:
Archer c2>Hunter>Archer c3>fletcher c2 or
Archer c2>Sapper c2> Fletcher c2
It seems to boil down to how good is the pet as a hunter, will it even be useful when you’re constantly spamming oblique shot or would I get more use out of claymores and broom traps?
Even as a sapper, you would still have the pet anyway so are the added hunter benefits to the pet worth it?
I tried out Hunter C1 and I was quite frustrated with the class. It feels like you lack the badges for your pet to obey you…
The pet is terrible at keeping up to you, it will often fall behind and out of range. It takes so long to decide to attack something you are attacking that you will already have killed it most of the time. I have more than once used a skill on a monster only for my pet to either run the opposite direction, or run and attack another monster.
The only place I have found the pet to be somewhat reliable so far is boss fights, where it will add a decent amount of damage and will tank like a boss. That isn’t to say it doesn’t work like a damage sponge for other mobs, but it is frustrating to see ~5 monsters surrounding your pet and it just stands still doing no damage.
i started my build thinking to be archer c3 > ranger c3 but so i saw the fletcher skill and tried to formulate something with the fletcher.
i’m already at archer c3 and i don’t plan to satrt again for build testing.
i’m between the sapper c1/ scout c1 / ranger c1 before changing to fletcher.
why scout, he has some hiding skill that can save a life.
why ranger, good aoe skills.
why sapper, well traps. you can create a safe spot to run to;
maybe the archer c1 > ranger c3> fletcher c2 would be a better option.
high anchoring looks like a good skill, and bouncy shot is a evolution of the oblique shot. Both are real good options.
yeah just started a new archer, planning on going either archer > c3 ranger> c2 Fletcher ( best dps/ aoe) or Archer > c3 ranger >archerc2 > Schwarzer Reiter for that sweet mobility. still torn
Im full spr ranger c2 now, Barrage is awesome, can does aoe and bursts damage to boss when get close.
Rush dog is aoe 4.
And it auto progs without cost alot.
I suspected that full spr beginning of work in this archer and your videos prove it! My archer is going that way, just put some points on cons to have a little more horsepower. Ranger is a class that I really liked.
I’ll try Archer Ranger rank rank 3 + 3.
Barrage can be used 2x and the cooldown is small logo to make a good grind with him followed by Oblique Shot. In fighting against bosses, I believe Time Bomb and Spiral Arrow do good damage.
What do you think about this?
If I am already Archer c3, do you think I should go down the sapper c1 into fletcher c2 path or just play it out with wugushi?
Im not sure if fletcher works well with archer c3. I do have a party if that makes any difference.
Yeah more skills more damages. At ranger c2 i go with lv 10 barrage, 5 time bomb for fighting against boss. I havent upgraded Steady Aim attribute so i dont see it worth now. You can keep your skill points for c2 ranger so no need to put on Steady Aim. I go with Anchoring for more aoe attack. But when i go Ranger c3 i will reset Anchoring. My skills will like this
Hmmm, currently I’m on archer c2 > hunter c1 > wugushi c1 @ lv.82…
And I already sunk attributes into leather mastery ; u ; I intend to go hunter c2 > falconer
Would it be wise to reset my stats to follow your build here? The mobs that deal magic damage to me are
absolutely deadly and you can’t dodge them like in RO, I also made a c3 pyromancer and it felt way stronger than the archer class @_@;; I also face $$ problems due to mana and hp problems.
Any form of advice would help greatly, thanks!
What kind of difference would the nerf to steady aim do to us ?
Messes with the damage of skills that aren’t “missile” attacks.
This hurts Wugushi quite a bit
Seems no problem for me ( Archer > Ranger C3 > Fletcher C2
Archer and Ranger won’t be affected because pretty much all of their attacks are “missile.” The tooltips for Ranger weren’t changed, but Archer basic attacks and those skills don’t do type-based damage anymore, so they won’t be affected.
It’s pretty much everything else though. It’ll affect Sappers (specifically stake stockades and broom trap), Wugushi (everything), Hunter (everything, not that it matters much), Quarrel (same), SR (all attacks are strike, not missile), etc. etc.
One of the only buffs that Archers have that works won’t work for a majority of archer classes now.
Don’t really know why the Steady Aim nerf was warranted. It’s not like the class was outperforming others anyways.
Also Concentrate and Blessing aren’t getting touched. Even if it was unintended, it worked as the other two did, so nerfing it doesn’t make sense.
The steady shot nerf was probably just a bug fix and not a real nerf.
It’s a bugfix that equates to a nerf to an already-underperforming class. It’s not really justified, I feel.
Hi, imaginaryfoe
Could I get a response of your opinion to my current situation? Any bit helps, thanks!
