That’s just the thing though, it is just grind, there sin’t any dungeons we’eve encountered as of yet, there’re no repeatable quest to help you on the way. And leveling is just stats it’s also skills. This game comes alive in it’s class creation. But in order to reach max class and get all those cool mid/end game skills you wanna play around with. Guess what you have to do?
Actually, I can.
I can go and extract a list of all monster data right now, including how much exp monsters give. And I will tell you this now. A level 500 monster does not give you millions of exp. It doesn’t even give you hundreds.
Become a human bot?
yep… definitely…
Thank you for clarifying. This is my conundrum, actually. It’s only a rough around the edges estimate at best. Unless someone got their level every day of the beta we can’t attempt to guess accurately. Getting that information would allow us to reveal a curve in how many levels they get over time. If we get data from several people then we could reasonably estimate how long it takes for max level.
Have you ever played an mmo before? Let’s say tera for example. It took me no time at all to reach level 20 from 0. But it took me forever to reach 60 from 59. Guess why? Because it’s multiplied. you assume that it takes you the same time to reach each level. When it doesn’t, not in the slightest, it’s not linear it gets harder and harder and longer and longer as does every mmo.
Well there you go, now you know why exp rates are important and you already know how hard it is to level. Join the club, a beta tester or not.
Edit: Lol i’m a dumb and commented on the wrong post lolololol
Something tells me you haven’t done that and that’s not even close to accurate. I’ve watched Korean CBT videos showing monsters giving several thousand exp at level 180~. Even if we assume the rate was multiplied by 10 or 20 they still give hundreds of exp.
I feel like you don’t even have access to the beta, and if you don’t, you honestly have no right to have an opinion.
Keep in mind again that, the 33 days was without scaling and I just used it as though each level is gained at the same rate (which it’s obs not) hence why the 3-4 months at 12 hours a day wasn;t so bad of a guess now was it?
That’s the bloody Korean exp!! It’s ■■■■■■■ 3x what we have!! how do you not know this?
Even multiplied they still give hundreds if not thousands of exp at vanilla rates. Look how much he’s getting.
48k for 1 little mob of monsters LOL. That’d be 16k for us, thats quite a lot
It’s 3.6k for one mob kill. the 48k was the accumulated kills. Still good exp though.
I really liked the random bosses in areas that aren’t in quests. I wish they’ll pop up more frequently.
You guys should be thank you were given the chance to play. and fck its only CBT. What’s the big deal? You got problems/bugs then report it!
I’ve extracted the data.
Highest exp any monster ever gives at the moment is 960, this is a level 600 monster.
To reach level 300 (there is no exp data for levels above this), you need to kill on average 2,911,158 monsters that are the same level as you.
To get to 84, the highest we currently know of, requires around 84,000 kills.
Obviously this does not include quests, bosses and so on.
This topic is all over the place, but I’m just gonna say I’m not happy with the EXP rates, too slow too early. I want to at least hit rank 3 before I feel the game is slowing down. Also I don’t think this game should be about grinding one character for days and weeks. I want to make multiple characters and try out different class builds and stuff. I want to PvP, GvG, and boss hunt. I don’t want to just grind one character forever, ya know?
Then we both wish for far more party events where the entire zone’s player base zergs onto. This is what the game needs more of, It really broke the dull monotony of grinding and it’s rather fun to see 30+ players zerging a field boss.
Now sadly I have to admit that once you hit the chapel at level 35ish progression just hits a quagmire, Currently my character was ranked 720 and i’m finding hard to justify the amount of grind you have to do to continue. Especially on a swordsman circle 2 (god why didn’t i go Highlander). I’m surprised I haven’t broken my z key by holding it in for so long.
The problem what ToS lacks is something to break the monotony and sadly bosses aren’t much different from large waves of mobs, Hold z and move every now and then. Part of me wished that you got exp for exploring and more from questing. This game needs something that rewards you from not sitting in a single place for 3+ hours as it doesn’t give the map designer any justice.
Easy, its mean its game not for you. Its should be like L1, max level take 15 years hard grniding.
I’m gonna assume you’re being sarcastic right? xD
