Exp Curve and Boss Pacing

The problem is if you make quests more generous/more frequently available it becomes guaranteed to be better than grinding.

Because as we all know the only quests you could really do on maps like tenet garden are “Kill x amount of y mobs”, combined with small maps and the fact that you can auto teleport back to the quest giver means you don’t really take any time punishment for killing 10 of the mobs then teleporting back.

So it becomes why bother grinding? Let’s just quest all the way, which is something I’m honestly quite tired of after games like TERA, GW2, ESO and such.

And the spike in boss battles was fine, fighting them in a party took me 2-3 minutes at most. Maybe your party used their SP badly and didn’t bring potions along? Or a few were just auto attacking and being too conservative. It never felt like a chore so you may have just been unlucky with party members.

Being level 82, I can’t agree more- everything you said still holds true - bosses have way too much health, WAY WAY too much.

I think they need to have their HP halved at least.

However, I also think they need to have their damage boosted dramatically - especially due to the fact that their animations are so incredibly easy to dodge.

I have footage I will be posting after beta is over of multiple boss fights where a boss 10 levels higher than me will hit me with a large wind up attack and do less than 100 damage while I have about 2500+ hp.
It makes the fights tedious and long - very unenjoyable.

I completely completely agree with this.

If you’re trying to tell the player they need to grind, put them out of their misery quickly. If we can take a boss 10 levels higher than us, we will. If it’s boring to do that, we’re still going to do it. Right now, it’s boring, it takes forever, and we’re not even dying.

Getting One Shot by a basic attack is a nice clean way to tell the player “leave” but if you just give the bosses a bunch of HP while keeping them easy to avoid and low on the damage side, we’ll just chunk away at it’s health for 30 minutes+ because it’s possible.

i can deal with the current exp rate but 25 min boring boss battels every 5 min? cmon!
either cut down on the number of boss encounters or decrease their health pools.
AI needs a lot of work. most bosses just stand there and randomly hurl atks while some are too restless moving around the map having a hard time getting in shots and spells(coupled with a ridiculous amount of HP = nofun)
