Doppelsoeldner C3 / R8, fake or realy multi hit? So bad

Well Both builds are viable are good. Eventually for now IMC is bad at balancing how stats goes.

( since you won’t need high block pen as you can gain block pen sufficient from just low strength and level + less strain on equipment) .

I fear for strength more (as skill damage goes up ridiculously flat numbers)…

They really need a revamp of stats or skill to scale to strength else strength will be extremely meaningless as it goes down (well who knows what will happen 6mths down)

I understand. My frustration is not because the distribution status or damage (think the DPS Doppel is ok) but the new skills are irrelevant. Damn you fake multi hit (placebo effect).

strutz is 2 true multihit.( 4fake hits seism 2.0) <— easier to cap 400k with sept debuff

Redel is full multihits. zuckens is still true ( pre 5 hit) the after hits are all fake)

Mostly take strutz + 1 point on zwer for debuff i guess…

you mean with or without attributes ( the attributes) ? The attributes iirc should add 1 hit.

Care to reshare the results with scarecrows? After attributes that is.

Single hit skills are bad too, unless they have huge % damage multipliers - and then they’re still limited by damage cap (as are fake multihits - you mention that Spiral Arrow can’t break damage cap, it’s also a fake multihit). With how insane scaling can be now due to transcendence, attributes, etc. true multihits become stronger and stronger. It will eventually be the difference between doing 199,999 damage 5 times vs. doing 199,999 damage once. Single hit skills (including fake multihits) often have longer cooldowns for some reason, too. Doppel’s Redel is a 25 second cooldown, while their fake multihit C3 skill is 30 seconds. Ranger is the worst example, with 5 hit/3 overheat/AoE Barrage on an 18 second cooldown, while fake-multihit/2 overheat/single-target Spiral Arrow is 36, literally twice the cooldown for a C3 skill that is in almost every way worse than a C1 skill.

It really isn’t so much that fake multihit or single hit skills are inherently bad, they’re just balanced horribly between pure numbers and game mechanics (I.E. damage cap). They could just cut the new Doppel skill down to 15second cooldown and it’d be great. Look at C2 Dragoon’s skill, it’s not only a huge nuke (both in damage and hitbox), it’s got a low cooldown and 2 overheat and a debuff, so it’s a strong skill even though it’s not multihit.

Also with attribute. I don’t see my damage spliting by the attribute which increases multihits by +100%.

So in total how many hits of 1 hp does it do. To a scarecrow.

I don’t trust in practice dummy. The same scarecrow only shows 5 hits from new Redel.

eh but most of the cases seem true ( volley fire 4 hits on target 1 hit on dummy)

Calculation as a fake multi-hit does seem to be on point though.

Well we will know when time pass due. If Redel/Zucken does have cap damage at respectively 1m/800k …then pretty much lawl.

I guess once some one caps out. near 30-40k (assuming it’s 14 hits) per redel ( add in sept debuff it should 60k-80k) (5 true multi hits of 200k will cap at 1m)

Where as 14 hits of 80k passes 1.1m :slight_smile: We will know soon.

I’m pretty sure it’s fake. Just tested it now. I do 7 hits on Redel (pretty sure it’s just my ping or nah), while I only do 5 hits when attribute is turned off. I did two videos testing the skills against dummies (w/ attribute, the other one is w/o)

True :
Redel = 7 hits (5 without attribute)

Fake :
Zucken = 5 hits
Zornhau = 1 hit
Sturtz = 2 hits
Zwerch = 1 hit

Also just tested it now against lier dummy and my Redel deals 5 hits with and without attribute.

If it’s true 7 hits (with attribuites) it could mean that the attributes add a true cap 400k to redel.

IF zucken with attribuites = 5 hits ( it woulda mean) basically it caps out at 1m like what i said lel. (any way still needs corwn/zornhau proc)…

Either way Redel is easier to cap ( DOV15 with Redel i am hitting around 15k per hit.)

I will keep a look out for any cap Dopple around KTOS.

Since ( Most of the old dopple have capped out) or we just have to wait for a while longer more when peeps get new gear + cap out their attributes

It’s clear even from the damage I dealt on the dummies hp bar that I made 7 hits from Redel.

Me using Redel against a monster:

His impression about Redel and Zucken against the same dummies. Unfortunately his videos is off now.

14 damage lines, divide that into 2 and you get 7 hits.

And why the attribute increases the multhits in +180%? It doesn’t make sense.

It’s increase in total damage @_@.

But the True Damage cap per skill still exist. Which is the purpose of True multi hit ( to exceed per line damage of 200k)

So the attributes does add 2 line (together with a damage boost) --> cap damage of redel from 1m > 1.4m.

Assuming you do cap out. That’s the limit of the (real multi hits).
