This is a good post for them to check out, this server checking for spawns is not working, cause it takes 2~3 minutes for the new mobs to spawn, not 15s like it was supposed to be, specially on high populated areas with a VERY HIGH monster killing rate

You guys should pass this feedback to the IMC central. This is a very important game mechanic that needs to be fixed and improved ASAP in order to the game become true playable.

I’m just tired of saying that devs are incompetent.
And even if I dislike the 30s respawn time, I still think that the major problems were density and hate limit back then :stuck_out_tongue: (yay still waiting for f2p to update my data)

For devs to know how it MUST be worked on, there are certain maps when thats a high populated area, the monsters just don’t spawn until the next 2 minutes server check, so the map just becomes deserted with only a few mobs here and there, which for a party of 5 people is not nearly enough exp to grind and those 2 minutes walking around the map hoping for a spawn just takes forever

We found a “work-around” this issue which is the Channel Hopping thing, but changing channels shouldn’t be used to grind purposes, that only means that your spawn rates are terribad

Theres another issue with that system, it seems that doesn’t notice monsters individually,just their size, so if theres a map with only small/medium monsters and if theres 3 different medium/small, sometimes the X monster (the one who holds the biggest exp, hence, the extinction) stops respawning or do it at real small numbers, while Y and Z are filling certain areas of the map, like 10 or 25 in the same spot (they’re alive for a reason, doesn’t give decent exp that worth killing) so the party has to a extinction-remove-train and kill all those useless and almost expless Y and Z monsters for X monsters to spawn correctly

But the issue with a lot of players on a single channel could be fixed with a better player distribution by channels, I lost count of times that I’ve been teleported to the most crowded one on city maps or even maps that are high viwed for farming and grinding.

IMC should focus on fixing the problem, and not on hiding it or trying to change configurations that hurts the gameplay.

More channels doesnt exactly fix the issue, party’s will still have to channel hop and fight each other for mob kills. Its a bad system and creates a very toxic game. the only thing that will fix it is faster spawn rate for monsters - not more of them on a slow spawn timer.

if this was actually done to slow people down then they have no idea what they’re doing. If they wanted to slow us down they could easily just lower the ammount of dungeons we could do a day… oh wait they did that to.

I really wish I knew their philosophy for that tbh, this game has loads of exploration and things for people to invest time into, even after max level. Collection, mob quests, maxing attributes, PVP!; and a lot of it is locked away, especially PVP since you’re basically useless until you’re max or near max level.

Jeeze in RO I spend freaking 8 years at the max level doing stuff because the PVP endgame was so accessable and so many people could join in the fun.

Hitting the max level shouldn’t be a crime, stop tripping your playerbase.

If they want to slow us down, just lower the EXP. Don’t lower the spawns. Having nothing to fight isn’t fun for anyone.

the whole concept of wanting to slow people down is flawed; the game has enough social content to make it last, making the grind more awful is just going to turn people away when they get bored.

Although I would agree, killing 10 mobs for 0.08% exp every 5 seconds feels a heck of a lot better than killing one mob every 50 seconds for 0.8% exp.

your entire post histories for the past week have been copy-paste responses to bot reports, or posts on the sadhu thread about sadhu bugs… even though there are many other broken skills in the game, some even on skills that DEFINE their class.

I don’t think I’ve seen a single staff or developer post in response to the ridiculously high timer on spawns. The new timer was CLEARLY tuned for kToS, which is a dead game with probably <5% the population of iToS.

I highly agree IMC should increase spawn rates in certain maps for mobs it is really kinda annoying to walk the whole map looking for mobs for the quest + it ain’t even F2p yet so they really need to fix that eles people gonna rage quit when they get their quest mob ksed from them

Trickster Online has 0 seconds for respaw. How it works: You kill a monster, it respaw instantly, but in a random location on the map. Then, all maps are full of monsters any time, you only need to run when you kill all monsters near of you. It’s a paradise to grind at certain maps, like Chaos Tower… (sometimes, more players on the same map HELPS you because respaw more monsters near)

They need to fix it in ToS, quick. Before free to play.

Yesterday my character told me to stop making him run laps “for no reason.” I tried to explain its great cardio and the scenery is beautiful but he just wouldn’t listen. He lost it; told me he was tired of playing these sick twisted games. Then he demanded more monsters to kill or he would delete all of his talt.

This is getting out of hand. Please reduce map spawn check timers before he does something careless.

I must concur. A response is desperately needed. Perhaps some sort of Postception quoting needs to occur in hopes of getting the point across.

The silence from IMC on this incredibly huge issue since launch has been very jarring and concerning. If it is intentional, they need to change that crap back.

The current Spawn Timers are completely broken. This is a serious issue that makes the game less fun.

The 5 minute spawn timer is clearly balanced for Korea ToS which has very low population
