Long story short, i have a little less time to play TOS, im wondering right now what i should do. Was bored so i started leveling a scout 3- rogue 1 (idreamy) to farm and just make some silver to buy myself 2 sissels ( pretty much all the gears i miss). Im right now scout 1 lvl 13. Now since the mergen is comin somewhere next month shouldnt i just go fletch 3 then mergen instead of sc3 ? I mean looking @ the skill sim, it feels like that a2-r1-sc1-f3 would not only secure me a cube but also give me good aoe for mobing. I mainly wanna clear 130 dg for silver and do a world boss here and there. Plz help
I’m exactly in the same dilemma. I have no farming character yet and not much time to play and level up one. I started many to find out later that the build was not that good so I’m always stuck below rank 5. Now I have an A3SC1 that I was planning to go Fletcher3. But I found that same Scout3 build and now I don’t know what path to take. If I was to go Scout3 I would have to start a new character to take one rank of Ranger (not that big of a problem) but I just wanted not to reroll again after that. I’ll follow this thread to see if we get some suggestions.

Archer 3 scout 3 is a pretty common build as well. You dont have to reroll for 1 ranger rank.
Check this guys channel, he is a3 sc3 Fletcher 1. He clears 130 dg under 10 minutes.
It depends really. Scout 3 has the better mobbing/aoe ability. Fletcher 3 has the better bossing potential. That isn’t to say that scout 3 is bad at bossing or fletcher is bad at mobbing though; they’re both good.
Scout will probably save you more money for sure.
Both of them work well with mergen.

Clearing 130 dungeon for silver won’t be a thing you worry about at R8. Attributes (not enhance attributes, normal skill attributes) cost tens of millions of silver, the pennies you get from clearing a low level dungeon are nothing by comparison. Apparently the best WB builds are Swordies at R8, too.
IMO if you want a WB archer build you probably want to go QS3 Musket2 now. Or possibly even something involving Hakkapalle; people say the class is garbage, but their single target damage actually seems decent.

I think Hakka will benefit a lot from the Dragoon2 debuff on the boss - Hakka is melee physical too.
Plus Hakka uses Slash/Pierce skills (hoplite spear lunge debuff, barbarian Cleave debuff).
Plus I think they’re a natural fit for Fletcher builds aimed at WBing - you have Magic Arrow to instantly apply max arrow stacks for Skarphuggning.
All fletcher skills are usable on mount.
This might become meta. Everyone went fletcher3-> mergen though. Might all reroll (to dragoon2). I have seen 1 fletcher3-Hakka vid from KToS.
Im actually surprised only few are considering this. Everyone seems to be going for mergen. But can fletchers still do world boss at r8?
The same guy that claimed Dragoon and Fencer are top WB DPS now also claimed Fletcher is 3rd. But those are probably all Fletcher/Mergens, Fletcher/Hacka seems like it’d do a lot more singletarget.
Damn, thats it im rerolling. Got a fletcher 3 that i dont like, scout 2 that i wont need so wont bother leveling him. I rly wanna play an archer @ rank 8, think i’ll hop in the bandwagon and go Sr 3…
They will most likely nerf/buff each class to balance them out. Just wait a bit to see if they will make any changes.
I believe only initial hit from magic arrow applies an arrow debuff. Could be wrong though, needs testing
I actually started a Fletcher and I found out its only good against Bosses. So far im lvl 205 and its hard for PVE since its good against one target mainly, plus you have to invest a lot in magic arrow attribute which is very expensive, and making arrows its kinda a pain u know where… Maybe Scout 3 would fit me more, but having to reroll again, omg, such a pain this game, i shud just quit =P
Did you follow the build on tosbase? The ‘fantastic AoE, good single-target’ Ranger3-fletcher3 build? It is a big trap. Fletcher is bad at AoE. I don’t know why the build has never been corrected.
My build is A2 - R1 - SC1 - F3. I guess it shud shine against WB If I EVER get those expensive gear, like sissels, bows w lvl5-6 gems, etc.
Yes, fletcher has been and will always be a single-target focused path. You have to get a high + Isbality crossbow + Mana mana to worldboss nicely.

How do you even lvl this thing past 220+? I play good at mercenary missions, thats it, never dungeons, i would be like filler material, in grinding parties as well. Ill try to get mana mana from dg 200 rushes and see if i can buy one isbality with gems already in it.
Ill see if i have the courage to make a Scout 3. So I can do PVE nicely, and farm things.
