I am building a evasion build swordman, as I said in my opening post,
the evasion difference between my swordman and my friend’s archer is only 30 points although I have lv 40 leather master mastery and the archer have lv 5 leather mastery and not even wearing the full set.
beside equipment, I am wondering what else could affect evasion…

Is he using Swift Step? You also said you didn’t check his gear. Maybe he has better/upgraded boots and he could be stacking DEX and EVA on his gear. Get all the info from your friend and things will appear less complicated than you’re making it.
Hmm, I’m currently lvl 204 rank 6 Fencer with Pelt 1, so the obvious guardian attribute.

So are you sure you’re gonna go full DEX? Since you have a PvP class path, I feel like it’d make sense to drop some points into CON. I’m sure somewhere down the line, your DEX investment will suffer from diminishing returns.

Well, everyone is talking about earth tower this earth tower that.
i believe this game is more than just earth tower.
so what if you can’t get lolopanther stuff.
as of now level cap is just 280… what i heard was level is up to freakin 600… (if the game lasts that long)
that being said, i honestly believe there is still hope if anyone is dying to get out of dex.
Its not only the stats that matters in ET. Correct me if im wrong, only 1 team manages to clear the 20th floor out of many others who tried since at the very start of KTOS, among those who tried and failed are full STR swordie or full con pelt 3. So maybe the swordsman itself is the problem? Not just the stats itself. For me the great contender for ET on swordsman tree is hop3-dopple2. with hybrid dex - str ratio. My build is not for ET clearing but for GW and battle league. So comparing pvp focused build to ET clearing team is invalid. Full dex cata so far is good not just for lvl 200+ maps but for PVP too. Full str on the other failed so hard in questing at lvl 200 maps because theyre like paper from hard hitting physical attacks not just magics then they start rolling archer class because of failed STR build. Full Str in ET swordie is just a bubble from imagination of those people who build full STR for ET purposes.
Also this game would make it far into lvl 500, current full str build struggling at lvl 200+ is a bad sign for another high level maps, they dont have the capacity for survival. Thats why you see threads like swordsman is dead at lvl 200+ maps because those people goes full str or full con build.
IMC mentioned again that they intend to buff STR stat bonus:
I think the biggest problem with STR is how crit attack works, since it’s a non-scaling bonus, so the added damage becomes smaller and smaller compared to the 150% phys attack crit damage. Meanwhile, CON and DEX both provide 2/3 useful sub-stats.
Still it makes me a bit paranoid about my Sw3Cata3’s build. Right now at 20 CON, 86 DEX invested. Maybe I’ll hold my stat points for a bit and see what they change. 
If you’re only lv192 right now, you can still spend the rest of your points from levels+bonuses and have a very respectable amount of CON, almost 1:2 CON:DEX. That’s not too far off from my intended build, adding on a healthy HP pool and crit resist to your high evasion/accuracy. This build feels strong for PvP, to me.

Yeah, it is boring. But just like in RO, you wouldn’t make a WoE build with no Vit. I just think that since you invested time and effort in a build thats has high potential for PvP, it would be worthwhile to pump CON to make it viable there.
Indeed. A swordman with no CON just doesn’t work.
At least full DEX can save you from physical attacks.
You guys gotta remember that str is getting a big buff for swordies soon, meaning that it will probably be the biggest differential damage-wise. I mean, 30% more damage and base attack enhancement will make a big difference. Personally, I am going 5 STR, 2 CON 3 DEX, SW 2 Hop 1 Cata 3, Dragoon.
I do believe that these 2 CON points will give you the survivability you need, 5 STR after this buff will get your damage to the top and the 3 DEX points will be enough for your evasion and crit chance.
