Dex Swordie, for Max Evade and Cri

One thing to note for evasion.

                        Player Evasion - Enemy Accuracy
Evasion % = ------------------------------------------------------
                  (0.3605 * Player Level + 18.64) * Enemy level ^ 0.335

With a maximum evasion rate of 80~85%

This is fairly accurate, and if you would like to look at it more refer to this https://github.com/vyne1/tos-mechanics/blob/master/ToS%20Mechanics.pdf

You need roughly 1100 evasion to have maximum evasion for pve at level 280.

STR and INT are the only stats that has a rank bonus and it’s not class dependant so everyone can get the bonus. This is why many people say go high to full STR as you just get more value compared to DEX, plus STR just gets better and better the higher you go whereas DEX will almost plateau.

Formula broke. lol

You gunna need to add some spaces to pretty it up.

Suggestions on equips to hunt to boost EVA?
Prefer if usable since 75 and lasts for a while

If you mean the evasion formula from that guide you linked, you missed a " ^0.335" after the “Enemy Level”. It should be

(0.3605 * Player Level + 18.64) * Enemy level ^ 0.335

head gears with 14 eva/ crit attacks, crystal bangle, rokas top leather armor. It’s not worth to hunt equips with evasion on that levels because youre just going to replace them on higher levels. Get the highest level leather armors then level up or make yourself rich. Your primary source of evasion on lower levels are from stats and leather mastery. Im using these currently if youre interested: Headgears 3pcs with 14 evasion + crit attacks + SP, hunter bangle 2x, max peta, virtov leather bottom, vubbe gloves, +4superior bandits boots(2x lvl 5 green gems), rokas leather top. Im currently hunting virtov leather boots so i can upgrade it to lvl 10.

Already wearing rokas top, glad to hear it goes all the way to your level… I’ll up that to +10 when I am rich then

It seems like there are less ways to increase Critical Rate compared to increasing Physical Attack.

DEX might end up being better in the long run, or at least DEX to compensate for level increases. We can always enhance weapons for +Phys attack, and it seems like there’s more +Physical Attack and STR from gear as upposed to Critical Rate and DEX

DEX also increases Evasion and improves Accuracy.

I’m starting to think that it is wiser to invest in DEX as opposed to going full STR as a Swordsman. Some STR might be okay, but maybe investing more towards DEX to reach a certain amount of Crit is preferable?

I might be biased because I think I am going to go Highlander C3, so I can ignore Defense most of the time, removing the concern for -damage on higher level targets due to higher defenses.

Cata can get 25k HP from training your companion while going full dex which a standard from a tank build swordie. Upgrade your weapon if you want damage instead of STR. Deeds of valor + crit hurts a lot. DPE + Trot for my 900k per hour farming.

I just remember my other friend ( a Cleric) say he has 31 CON while my CON is 20.
My HP is 5791 his HP 3800
maybe there’s a scaling bonus we don’t know?

Swordsman gain more HP from level up compared to other classes…

Nah… don’t bother with full dex… its a complete screw up

go look at the tables, instead of a stat simulator thats lacking stat points, also dex lacks the 10% bonus every rank, I think only archer class gets that bonus to dex

Also

Full Dex with a Leather Armor set is not better than

400+ STR, 150 DEX, Plate Armor set, with 1 hour Aspersion buffs

So i say again

Full Dex on a swordsman class is no good, tanking evasion style surely isnt better than tanking with full plate with aspersion buffs and half the amount of dex, on top of that you still can DPS very nicely, with full DEX you cant do any damage at all… not even in PVP
