red gem does not work with pet, tried 5 red gem five hammer… all it does is add in the white damage from it.
tried shade armor, the evasion does not increase as well.
Cash Companion = 4 slots
Normal Companion = 1 slot
Pay-to-Win???

heard panda pet from tbl has one more weapon equip slot than premium, help!

From what I see, companions take only certain stats into concern and HP is one of those.

If you have a clean Five Hammer, can you compare that with the red gemmed one?
Also, you specifically mean the shade armor part, right?
I believe the shoes should still increase evade as that’s the main stat.

Considering AFAIK companion eggs still can’t be traded/auctioned, yes pretty much one p2w aspect of this game.
Hope someone can test if gemed armor will give more bonus (pdef or HP) to riders like SR , Cata, Hacka if pet equips it. 
Well i just tested it with grynas armor gemed and non gemed with 5star red gem. HP from the gemed armor was shared to me when pet equipped it .
Monster gems and +skill level to class (or specific skills only) stats e.g. grand cross on gears don’t work when mounting companion.
This video shows some atributes that can upgrade your pet attack… I do not understand why Arde Dagger build no damage at all, while Elements builds a Massive amount:
There was a problem with elemental weaknesses in ktos at the time of that video. It has already been fixed

@ZeroFoxGiven I recall that once you asked me what would be better for a companion in terms of gear. let me give you my updated, snail mail, breaking news answer 3 months late.
Normal weapons, such as two handed stuff have higher attack, however the gems we equip on these items won’t give our companions any benefit unless they’re green.
Now what about… let’s say… the other thing you can equip on there, Oh yeah… sub weapons! These weapons, they kind of hold a bad patk in comparison in many cases, but, if you equip a red gem it will give it, phys atk. And this time, the pet’s atk will raise.
And if you’re lucky to have one with 2 sockets in them, all the power to ya!
There’s this one I’ve noticed that has 2 slots in it, called double stack. a yummy 788 phys atk would be added to your companion if it was +5 and had 2 red gems lv 7.
As you might imagine, that’s a lil’ expensive, specially since it’s a lv 315 sub weapon that requires a practorium to be crafted.
Hopefully they add white sub weapon recipes with 2 or more sockets (Yes the greed!)
That’s. If you’re a hunter, or if you’re a falconer with the elusive bird with a weapon slot.
If you’re a riding class, well, put some catacombs club in there and some hp giving armor.

Falcon can wear only shields to get the Red Gem Physical attack bonuses.
Does it matter if my hawk equip didel tower shield or lionhead shield? or only the socketed red gem affecting its owner stats?
Hawk can’t be the target of any attack so any defense it gets is useless.
Only thing you can get is 30% of its PATK via purchasing the attribute.
So, the only way to increase the PATK is through red gems on a secondary weapon such as: a shield.
If you were to reach 1K PATK on the hawk, that’d be extra 300 skill damage on falconer’s skills. I’m still waiting for an air companion with weapon slots…
Your Hawk won’t affect your stats, they only affect the damage of your Falconer skills. With the Train: Flying Companion, 30% of its P.Atk is added to the skill damage of Hovering, Sonic Strike, Pheasant.
You can just use an Alemeth Tower Shield or one of those Hunting Ground shields with two sockets, whichever’s cheaper; then add Red Gems to them.
so if i equip my hawk 2 red gems alemeth tower shield (+290Patk) will the owner get +290Patk or only 30% of 290Patk?
It will get 30% of your Hawk’s total PATK, so, those gems will add to the hawk PATK and you’ll get 30% of the total.
which attribute? train: flying companion lv30?
Yup, that one, otherwise Hawk levels do absolutely nothing for ya.
but that 30% only affecting falconer offensive skill? well, this become my lowest priority then. Thanks @Composition and @tampon for fulfilling my curiousity.
