Tbh, that was expected, since the source of the cumulative damage is you.
That is solely caused by how the skills are coded. Mackangdal was coded first like, the skill counts the dmg you receive and deals you all at once in the end while RS mirrors the dmg immediately to the cause.
Of course its expectable when you see it that way, but maybe the devs thought about this possible synergy while implementing RS by changing how mackangdal works, to avoid this suicidal overkill and create a really cool synergy.
Because creating cool synergies is one of their major aims, or so they mentioned in these intereviews. But wellā¦ its not well thought out as always. Maybe they will change it in the future tho.
Quick question, I already started my priest >chap route. However, I invested most of (if not, all) of my points on INT. Does all that INT scales properly with Kabb?
Yes & No. INT will give you more damage on Merkabah, Cure, Heal, Mass Heal, & Aspersion. But if you are looking soley at Kabb. then Merkabah is the only one that scales off of INT.
I personally have 50 points into INT right now and am doing fine. Iāll likely Stat Reset into full SPR & CON however because itās really not that big of an increase in damage.
Not likely. There is a fine line between cool synergy and outright unbalanced. There are some strong combos in the game, but all of them are in a way balanced.
The Mackangdal + RS one is outright broken if it was coded to return the damage back to the original attacker. Mostly because there is absolutely no counter balance to the combo. In a PvE setting, you would probably be able to one-shot and Solo World Bosses, and if that was the case Bots would all run the build making it no fun for anyone. In a PvP setting, you would have players that are immune to damage and that are trying to instantly kill each other.
Both are scenarios are not fun for the Devs or Community.
in PVP CCs exist so if the Kabbalist does not SZ/RS himself he dies after Mackangdal though! Its not foolproof.
How is the working out? and what stats you using?
In Shortā¦ RS is amazing. Ein Sof Attributed is godly. Merkabah you actually have to think about when using. Havenāt touched the number skills
@chunkypizza_93 The first hit only! Duration is 60 and the recast is 40. So the attribute isnāt worth it.
RS is fun.
The idea is to use it on yourself and then stand on an AOE red carpet. This can be a sustained damage every 40 sec. The damage should be boosted by int since itās a magic skill (?). Also, you might need to purposefully weaken your defense every time you use RS, just to maximize the reflected damage. However, boss encounters are not that lengthy so thereās that.
You can also use it as a panic button when all hell breaks loose.
I hope they at least shorten the CD of RS. Itās too long and only reflects a single damage. Itās only usable in boss encounters. You also have no idea which damage is devastating to reflect back.
So, I manage to get notarikon (by accident) and started toying it with random enemy. I still need 2 levels to get level down and gematria.
Iām quite surprise seeing this up close.
Kepaās notarikon derivation is onion while chinecny is called bokchoy.
Hanaming is called hanaming.
Now certain monsters have this āmonsterā + their name, which I find it very odd. I watched the video and it seems normal, with gematria able to view all the letters.
Somehow, I believe that each letters has a fixed value for both gematria and notarikon. Finding those correct numbers allows the use of reduce level to be efficient. I do have an idea about how to get the number in notarikon but it needs to be confirmed.
Math skill wise, kabbalist c1 is underwhelming. By going c2 you might have a good use on the math skills, plus the other skills that require numbers
Judging from the skill description, I am guessing revenged sevenfold at level 5 deals back 150% of the damage taken? That seems really underwhelming tbh, considering it only procs once for a very long CD :(ā¦ Most misleading name ever.
Even at level 15, it does 250% damage. Thatās not even half of āsevenfoldāā¦
People are saying how OP this is for PvP, but is it really? I just donāt see it. Even if youāre lucky enough to proc it for a really strong single-hitting skill (I.e. NOT something like frost cloud - which RS is sadly useless for), itās just ridiculously hard to pull off. Even if you do, it probably doesnāt do enough damage to kill someoneā¦
If theyāre going to make it this situational, it should at least be hella strong to make it worth the timing and CD.
EDIT: Please tell me Iām actually greatly mistaken, and additional 50% actually means 750%
Oracles and Kabbalists are bae in GVG.
The Damage isnāt considered Magical. Itās fixed damage based on the damage you take. You can still use it during bosses as well. Since the damage you take is reduced to 1, you can effectively use it as a free Block.
The skill level of the ability is knowing when to use RS. You will have to actively look for the boss cues for which attacks to dodge or eat with RS
How damage is reflected back in a nutshell. RS 5 reflects back 100% x7 +50% of the damage dealt back. So if you took 100 Damage it looks like thisā¦
(100 x 7) + 50 = 750 Damage reflected back.
ā¦if you have Blessing rolling then you apply it to each tick of damage for RS.
But Yes. Itās situational, however I think itās plenty strong as a buff ability. Keep in mind RS actually does apply to Allies nearby, so itās value increases greatly.
Never been so happy I misunderstoodā¦ thanks for clarifying
Since its pysical for RS, can we go crit route? Will the 7 dot crit individually?
The return damage cannot critical as it is registered as flat damage. However if you eat a Crit with RS, it returns whatever that criticalās damage was back seven times over.
I applies to your party too? I changed my mind from turning my sadhu into a kabbalist, but i was thinking of making a bokor kabbalist. Would it apply to the zombies?
