This is some weird bug O.o. I go try and post the results.
Edit: Can’t seem to replicate it.

It seems to be just that map in particular that procs the bug. Not sure why, but I was able to re-create it as well.
Guys is Gematria, Notarikon, Double Chance and Reduce Level melee spells? Or they can be targeted from distance?
Nope, you have to be close to them.
it is worth as Kabba 1 in a Pally Inquisitor (melee) to reduce level for 15 secs on 35 secs CD?
1 Revenged 7, 3 Ein Soft, 3 Gematria and Notarikon, 5 Reduce Level
Based on my experience, NO
I suggest you max ein soft, then put 1 on both gematria and notarikon, max reduce level and throw rest of point on your preference.
Ok but why NO? Because I can choose any other class in rank7 if is not worth. Can you elavorate?
No, im not referring to that matter. Kabbal c1 is a good filler, especially since inquistor-pally eat SP…A LOT
Im referring to the idea of you spending 3 points each on gematria and notarikon. Those skills have a very small AOE and to get enemies in it requires planning and such.
Heck, I rarely use reduce level except in world boss hunts.
yeah I didnt plan to use it on mobs, but on Bosses. Ok thanks for your answer.
Kabbalist1->Inquisitor is actually a good combo imo. Pears + R7F is really powerful.
A kabba test on duplicate drop mobs:
Did R7 seriously reflect all enemy’s pear of anguish?
Finally manage to submit that dreadful bug after doing some quest in the tevhrin cave with some buddies.
Completely forgotten about it until I triggered it again.
Question about Gematria & Notarikon…
Does an higher level increase the final calculated number?
Or does Sakane refer to the “max targets” by saying “the calculated number”?
Calculating on more enemies is interesting, increasing the final calculated number would be even more mouth-watering
Also… What’s the max number that may come out of Notarikon/Gematria? 9-10?
I haven’t (and don’t plan to) put more than 1 point in each Gema and Nota. I think that may have been an artifact from a time Gema and Nota didn’t really make sense…
It should be Skill Level + 1 Targets.
Don’t think it does. I leveled mine to 3 and didn’t see any difference. It’s just number of targets.
Never got my numbers past 9 so i doubt there’s more than that.
I dont know how Gematria / Notarikon calculations work (and I think nobody does?) but if I were to guess, I’d say it converts the letters into their integer values according to ASCII table, sums them, and take the module by 10.
Gematria probably takes all letters of monster’s name while Notarikon takes just the first and the last.
As far as I see, the highest number you’ll get from gema and nota is nine and will always be nine.
Never seen double digit since I got them a long time ago.
Like what the others have said, max number is 9. Higher levels of Gema and Nota only increases the number of targets the skill will affect only. But due to the really small aoe radius it is best to keep it to a max of 3 or 4 points in the skill. I hardly ever see the skill affect more than 3-4 monsters no matter how tight I try to maneuver the monsters into the aoe zone.
Do “Reduce Level” and “Double Chance” Apply on multiple enemies? (if they have a number already of course.)
Cool thanks a lot guyz @Sakane @mrshadowccg @Huerin @Nekorin
As for calculations, does the same monster (i.e. “Kepa”) always give (example) “2” with Notarikon and “5” with Gematria? I mean… Is the calculated number by Notarikon/Gematria static and will always give the same result for the same monster? Thanks again
