[Class] Kabbalist Overview

You can’t move your Body at all I thought? Mob Gust is just a knockback, so it displaces without the Sadhu having to do anything with their body.

Merkabah you actually have to do the Mount command to get on it. So i don’t know how your body would do that if you are in the OoB state.

Anyone got an issue with riding Merkabah? My char went back to previous position almost all time after Merkabah explodes.

That happens to me…sometimes.

Must be the server lag or that you are moving too fast error.

I already used token, but it doesn’t help :sob:

Does anyone here feel that merkabah damage kind of pitiful?

@Viole

Yes I do find that it is pitiful too. Have to up its attributes high enough to see how it fares though. My only gripe to it is how terrain dependent and fragile the spell is, at some locations it is literally unfeasible to use Merkabah (those areas where the wheels spawn and fail to reach the destination cuz of terrain).

With so many limitations the spell should compensate with higher damage imo.

I think any Cleric branch’s DPS skills won’t be impressive until you get up attribute at least 30%… There are only few skills that can be a good damage by stand alone (like Diev’s Owl)… That adds more reasons to me when picking multiple DPS classes on each rank and combine STR-INT for stat builds… Merkabah alone might not enough but other DPS skills will fill the total damage in your chain.

Let’s speculate with my own character if I cast Divine Might level 5 then try to damage Mole boss in Siaulai mission (all damage beside Merkabah is damage I’ve seen on level 180 so can be more with higher rank, better equips, higher attributes, and higher STR+INT).
Cast Zaibas x2 (2.2k x 20),
Cast Energy Blast (3.2k x 16)
Cast Merkabah (take Sakane’s data, 3k x 6 + 3k with riding)
Cast 1 inch punch (I think 20k-ish damage with bleeding as well)
I still can do Cure, Double Punch, and Palm Strike after all those chains if I’m not healing…

I had a dumbass idea, but maybe it works?

Get a ress class, a linker, a bokor + kabb and anything that can amplify the damage the mobs take.

Do the Linker + Bokor Mackangdal + Revenged 7x combo. Wait for mobs to kill themselves at Earthtower. Rinse and repeat. Equipments don’t matter because you wanna take the damage and suicide the kabb anyways.

It’s like killing a Valkyrie at ragnarok. No one was able to tank it because of the insane damage it did, and they couldn’t kill it because of the high def / high mr it had… so they started killing it by putting in a paladin with reflect + 3x amp damage set, so he would return a 200k hit per death on her, until she died.
Wouldn’t it clear the mobs in a couple secs?

What I like about Merkabah is the huge aoe it has. It seems to not have any aoe hit ratio. I might be wrong though. The only problem is getting the full 6 wheels to reach their destination. Most of the time i’ll be really happy if only 3-4 out of the 6 managed to get there without being destroyed before they roll out.

Perhaps that the reason why they increase the Merkabah’s damage in ktos.

@pudimowned

Don’t think it is a sustainable combo for ET. In ET we don’t have the luxury of time to set the combo up and wait for mobs to hit the Kabbalist. Each floor is like a 5 min race to complete the objective. I’m still new at ET though, only have completed the 1st 5 floors.

Can’t really see the sustainability of the combo for the initial floors, unless they allow the kabbalist to repair in ET itself + the combo meets the 30-35 sec cooldown per wave (for 1F, 7.5 waves of 20 monsters each to clear). The kabbalist have to die 8 times at minimum omg… T_T

The kabbalist doing this just wouldn’t bother wearing armour, since they’re either invincible or dead at all times.

Maybe not, but it could work on bosses if you could have a cryo to land a deep icewall and isolate the boss from the mobs. I mean, a boss hit times… what, 15? It would kill the boss basically. So you’d have one dps to complement, one pelta for the rush, a priest with ress for buffs and ress (duh), linker and the kabba/bokor.

I mean, it’s more of a combo to take down one huge hp boss than a load of monsters itself, but it could work on world bosses or something that fits the role.

Unfortunately the Mackangdal + Revenged Sevenfold makes it so you, the Kabbalist would die. Not the mobs.

Mackangdal says you are invul. to all incoming damage. At the end total up all the damage you negated and inflict it all at once to yourself.

Revenged Sevenfold says the next time you would take damage, reduce the incoming damage to ‘1’ and return the damage (plus and extra % from the levels) to it’s source 7 times.

As the interaction stands RS treats the source of the damage as the Mackangdal. Mackangdal’s damage is treated as you, the target buffed by Mackangdal, as hitting yourself.

It’s kind of a long explaination, but pretty much Mackangal + RS makes it so anyone under both effects that take enough damage to kill themselves, not the monsters that hit them.

So, basically, it changes the damage you stack and take. Instead of “taken by monster” is “taken by myself”. Ergo, you destroy the bursty stack x7 damage…

oh, well, there goes a mechanic that could be good.

The theory was disproved before by a few people somewhere in this thread.

It’s just sad to see that some mechanics that could be applied and be more versatile just aren’t.

In ragnarok, wow, diablo there are so many combos you could use in different situations to get better results… ToS is becoming too linear.

Mackangdal + RS have a good interaction for now, otherwise it will be a Godly reflect imunnity that kill anyone.

In my mind it COULD be changed to work like this:

You take the damage. You use rev 7x. At the end of the 15s, you take the damage but also reflect the huge damage you take back to the mob. It’d require a ress class, because it’s a kamikaze build, but it’ll open some strategies.

Still strong enough to kill others options, like the old Paladin-RO reflect killer for Valkyrie where you basically only need a Paladin to keep ressurecting.
I know that Ress in ToS is a little different, but there is other points to work around than turning a class that use zombies and mathematics in a concentrate kamikaze.

I quoted Pally reflect killing valkyrie some posts ago.

That was the intended effect of the combo. Sadly, mechanics work different.

RO also nerfed that reflect combo and unless you’re a Royal Guard which is Paladin’s next class the reflect shield is pretty much worse version of RS… If you mind, RS reduce your damage to 1 and x7 returned damage which even Royal Guard doesn’t have…

Dunno what to say when 70% people claimed to play RO when comparing formula that only exist on 2009 or 2010
