[Class] Inquisitor's Thread

Just to share, I’ve been buying the Inquisitor: Burn Passive (really expesive T-T) and got this nice screenshot to show its damage.

The blank 2500 dmg is from barrier (Spelkul takes double holy dmg).
The blank 1300~1500 dmg is from the Burn.
The crit 2500 is from the burn.

For extra dmg is not that bad when theres a lot of mobs. Also they stack, there were two Burns on the ground and the mob took dmg form both.

Also it looks sooooo cooool (I call it Inquisition / Purification Flames cause just Burn is so lame).

Was looking for a bit of a supportive / end game build and then I saw this one…is it decent enough for the end game content right now? And does anyone have a bit a more detailed guide for it? Like gear and stuff?

Thanks in advance.

Quick question, just in the off-chance that you bought it: does Malleus Maleficarum: Mana Burn’s [Silence] effect increase?

Lv1 right now is a pretty long Silence for PvE, at Lv2 or higher, does the duration increase? If you don’t have the answer, that’s fine

I had lvl 1 until a few days ago and it lasted 5s. It is a max lvl 4 passive skill. I just tested it at lvl 4 and it remains 5s silence. So the only increase is in the mana burn for PVP really.

Excellent, you saved me money, thanks!

Discerning Evil can be used to extend both Malleus’ debuff and the silence that comes from the attribute.

With Pardoner c2 you can have 27 seconds silence using Divine Might. More than the cooldown of Discerning Evil itself.

Would be nice if someone could test if the silence can be spread through Pandemic.

We could build something like Cleric 2 > X > Pardoner 2 > PD 1 > Inqui and have 100% silence uptime in a somewhat small area (Pandemic’s area, in case it works).

Only problem is that most pardoners are too lazy to become inquisitors.

Most of them are just opening their shops and using other…common classes.

2 lv to go. I don’t have [divine might] though.

i know this been ask 100 over times :stuck_out_tongue: monk vs paladin ? haha which is actually more usefull for inquisitor…i been reading but its still hard to actually choose…does inquisitor loss alot from not having convition?

Paladins get a very nice burst dmg using the Wheel + Convcition + God Smash. But the issue is that they only have that burst dps. After using the wheel, you can’t do much as a Paladin aside from Turn Undead and randomly Smite stuff when it’s not in CD. Smite damage will suck on anything that’s not demon or mutant and you have to be careful to have Conviction up for your next Breaking Wheel usage.

Monks have a more ‘constant’ dps. They can use Malleus with One Inch Punch and Double Punch to deal a good dps without having to rely on the Breaking Wheel. Monks also have Energy Blast.

The wheel deals a reasonable damage just by being there for it’s whole duration. If you add Hand Knife armor break to that, the damage is even better.

Paladins are good because they also get defensive buffs (Resist Elements, Barrier with upcoming new attribute). But they probably deal overall dps worse than Monks, even considering the Conviction + God Smash combo…

would monk 1 be enough? XD

Being enough is relative. Enough for what? Dps being an Inquisitor?

And what’s enough dps to you? Killing a mob within a minute and be able to quest solo? Killing a group of mobs within seconds so you can grind effectively?

You don’t really need to pick Monk or Paladin to be an Inquisitor. You can be a Chaplain > Cleric 3 > Inquisitor, for example. It’ll be a decent build for dealing damage even if you don’t have Monk or Paladin.

What are your other classes beside monk 1? And what do you intend to do with that build? (support, dps, something else?)

No.

You’re missing one-inch punch, which is going to be essential. With its silence attribute then spread it via wheel, it helps your team for a few seconds. Now, energy blast has its usefulness, such as a lv1-3 charge to push a cluster of enemies away, especially good in that halloween event.

You might as well take a supportive class rather than take monk1. Unless the said reason is to want get their costumes…then do it

i was kinda following this build lol http://www.tosbase.com/tools/skill-simulator/build/wqig0s2558/

Yep…I am definitely confused with that build of his.

I wonder what’s his objective is.

if its not monk 1 its back to priest 3 lol…i do like orac/kaba/inqusitor…

paging @Wrathior, it’s your time to shine.

Otherwise, if you want the opinion of a monk scrub;

Monk1’s Double Punch is still really good, don’t underestimate it. Mostly for pve focus ofc.
Monk2/3 are expensive dmg oriented luxuries that come at the cost of better support/utility. Their ranged attacks shine in pvp though.

If I have to assume, that inquisitor build focuses on defensive skills, while letting his teammates do the dirty work via malleus or breaking wheel.

that is @Wrathior build hahaha

Yep, Wrathior aka novastride has a decent amount of videos and posts showcasing why monk1 is still quite darn good for inquisitors.

His reddit posts.
His youtube vids.
His tos forum threads.

Pick your poison. The answers are there if you want them.
Not sure what else I could say really.
