[Class] Inquisitor's Thread

Kabba C2 is quite common, at least here on Fedimian (me included). I didn’t think it would be so rare, though, considering it isn’t a bad class at all (it just lacks damage and has high CD times, but it’s just C2, let’s hope for Nachash with low CD at C3 xD).

Inquisitor at C3 seems nice for Pears of Anguish alone, considering the possible damage coming with it, but it’s possibly still not the strongest boss killer if it requires all these debuffs to do the deed.

Inquisitor C3 is Rank 10, while Rank 11 will open the possibility for
Oracle C3>Kabbalist C3 to emerge and take the spot of boss nuker.
Double Chance lvl 11 + Twist of Fate lvl 6 will ± nuke every boss monster that’s not a field boss instantly if it’s got 10-11m HP, and if the damage limit of Twist of Fate gets boosted to allow damage above 1m, even more damage is possible. Funny thing is that this even works as a full support build as long as it has Double Chance and Twist of Fate. No chance on bosses like Orange Harpeia that always calculate 0(currently), though xD

But, back to Inquisitor:
How good is God Smash in dealing damage? Wouldn’t it provide more use to focus on God Smash first and leave Breaking Wheel until C2/C3 when you can decide which skills to take? It seems strong and useful, but on the other hand there’s this 50 seconds CD which is quite annoying on any non-Diev build and the immovability.

From lvl 10 onwards, this doesn’t affect the wheel that much since you got time to lure enemies into it, but currently you got to mob and then cast Breaking Wheel. Certainly great vs. bosses, though, especially if maxed.

Malleus debuff duration requires lvl 6+Divine Might for 100% uptime, but I think that nearly no build has the luxury to invest more than 4-5 points into this skill unless it’s a PVP build, especially since it doesn’t have a damage attribute.

It’s really hard to decide which skills to focus on @_@
Good thing I still have 2 more Ranks until I can pick Inquisitor, so I get so see Inqui C2+C3 before having to take the risk of choosing the wrong skills xD

Edit: Did anyone who went Paladin C2/C3>Inquisitor check if Breaking wheel can convert mobs inside Conversion, either via the skills normal hits or by hitting the wheel? It’d be interesting to know for all Paladins who plan to go Inquisitor.

I’ll just leave this here ;D

Miko abuser spotted

is this explosions or flying damage?

It’s kagura damage. “technically still counted as his pear” :poop:

Sneak preview of why I don’t think 12 hits is the maximum [expiration/trigger] hits available for Lv5+1 Pears of Anguish and why you should max it regardless of your stat distribution.

Running a PURE INT (367 invested) build vs a purely physical land-boss.

#VIDEO

I only get damaged because of the debuff, otherwise it’s all 1s.

iirc it’s 16 hits. per pear. :hugging: with miko it’s 16 hits + 16 hits of 1.6x damage holy.with striking property :point_right::ok_hand:

I took numerous videos, I think the one clip I’ll upload in a bit should convince the nay-sayers.

Some people read all the records here, others just go down the bottom and read there.

Should really start getting this…discoveries and update the upper page for lazy people.

I know, right!?
What you found there sparked me to find out how to trigger it, which made me LOVE inquis! thank you for that!

Chill man, it’s not like I didn’t know of this interaction since I became an Inquisitor at Day 1 of R8.

My video shows just how powerful it is even for an INT-build Inquisitor. You’re obviously a physical built one given all the crits. Just a reference for other people that are running non-STR/DEX builds.

My apologies, I didn’t realise your point was to show it’s dmg with INT buids.

Your accompanying texts implies it was about the multi hits

Weird that it didn’t reply to this particular post, I probably lost it due to editing.

Then again, it feels like it hits way, way more than advertised honestly.

In any event, your video and mine basically proves that Pears at Lv5 (and more later on) are just that good of an investment for any build, no matter how messy their distribution was.

Oh yes. it oneshots the orb in 290 so lvl 6 2 overheat does full amount of hits that the orb can handle and probs more.

I guess that orb has 100? health points? may be more? 1 pear cast oneshots HL training room dummy.

with the MM the damage of pears is wonderful.

  • PS. i did misunderstood you on the INT build as well too, now it all makes sense. pears are must anyway.

Esp, if you have hand knife (monk1 skill) to armor break, then pears do almost full damage without the need for Physical attack or block penetration. ----EDIT: just realized how stupid monk1 sounds for an INT build…

The orb has 50 HP (as seen from QS skill Teardown).

thanks!

I just tested in the Crystal Mine Mission (those totems have 100) and they do get one shot

If anyone with pear lvl1 could test how many hits for 1 pear (on furniture at siaulai, on vubbe flag in xmines or dg290 orb).

It’s starting to remind me of the old QS3 falconer3 aiming caltrop issue -> amount of hits. Though pear procs on expiration.

Question on inquisitor skills, is it better to get godsmash4 malleus1 or godsmash1 malleus4? physical dex>con build currently gs1 mm1 pear5 wheel5.
I am considering MM4 for longer debuff/silence but would like some advice.

It’s been mentioned several times :stuck_out_tongue: Malleus 4
