Video - all featherfoot skills usable during Rune of Giants.

Wasnā€™t rune of giants supposed to limit the use of skills to swash buckling only?
How long are we able to use all skills during it?
Do transpose and rune of giants stack?

The Koreans are slowly changing the game. I havenā€™t found rune of giants + Transpose vids yet, however I believe they will stack if you transpose before using rune of giants. Blood Curse damage with high HP = oneshot on most. The player has 33k HP in the vid, without INT->CON transpose.

Itā€™s so hard to plan a build with all those changes.
Now iā€™m thinking of: W3 > Linker 1 > Thaum 1 > Runecaster > FF2

Hi there, I am planning to reroll my char
Iā€™m planning to make Wiz1 - Cryo c3 - Linker1 - ??? - FF2
(cryo 3 is a must, personal preference)

I want to ask a few stuffs

  1. I heard that bloodbath and possibly kundela slash actually have very small aoe+ratio that if you use JP->HK->BB with HKā€™s attribute, you can actually stab a few monsters at once.
Is it possible to use aoe-enhancing gear to hit multiple enemy without JP->HK? (ex: equipping staff + vubbe gauntlet), so that maybe i can hit several enemy when using frost tree without aid of JP.

  2. Since we get levitation, is it possible to remove wiz2 from my build? I have Cryo skill to CC (So far I never meet any ranged enemy that canā€™t be frozen, and nuas are melee. Or is there any unfreezable ranged enemy?)

  3. thereā€™s an empty slot on R6, which is better, wiz2, thaum1, or necro1? Given that iā€™m taking Cryo3 beforehand. Or is there any better suggestion?

Thank you

I think the rune of giants thing is a bug, evident by how his skills are blacked when he levitates (including blood curse), but when he cancels levitate he can use everything

i dont have the vids, but iā€™ve test with my friend ( RC & Kabba ) and i will post the screenshot laterā€¦

My FF build is Wiz3 > Thau3 > FF1 Full Int 600

Non Buff : 7k HP

Buff : Swell Brain + Transpose = 72k HP

Buff : Swell Brain + Transpose + Rune of Giant(non thauma) = 130k HP

Buff : Swell Brain + Transpose + RoG(non thauma) + Ein Sof = 330k HP

this test is using non-high geared equipment ( white plate armor, no petamion, no beetle, no hp gems )

maybe, if using a full high gear equipment, still make sense to touch the 400k HP

If the rune interaction is not a bug, your Blood curse will deal 260k damage (80% of HP attribute). I think this is a nice combo on linked enemies/linked enemy to fireballs etc.

Not sure about it but I donā€™t rely on Ignition burn anymore.

@hourai

  1. For blood bath it is a must to use JP > HK > BB to make the other mobs bleed. This will make mobs take twice the damage one from bleed and other from the link damage. Kundela slash would work perfectly fine with just JP.

  2. Wiz 2 is still an insurance. Mobs can still attack while in the frost pillar.

  3. The build is a bit odd. Not sure what its function is supposed to be but perhaps you can just take thauma for transpose or wiz 2 for sure spell.

No need for links. Just a single hit from QC + Blood Curse with that amount of HP already deals 414,000 damage.

Iā€™m inclined to think that Rune of Giants is currently just bugged. I wouldnā€™t be so hopeful after seeing magic missileā€™s nerf is coming soon. The 0 AoE Def ratio producing more missiles may get gutted in September.

^^ i agree

i feel like, it was too OP if we can use some skill on RoG buffā€¦
with a godly amount of HP, block almost 1k, def +100%, while u can use your skill to trolling people, and boom 300k damage? too insane lolā€¦

but,
if they got PD 2, disenchant, bye bye gg buffā€¦
if they got Oracle, counter spell, they will hardly laugh when we finished blow our self and die like a Spartan.

They will easily notice us,
What will you do if u know that a ā€œFLYING GIANT TANKā€ come to you and gonna blow you up? lol

Sage Missile hole will block the damage too. Ausrine, safety zone, etc.
It looks nice though.

yup,
still counter-ableā€¦

so, will it be noticed as hidden combo?

well, honestly,
Iā€™d love to see a flying giant chibiā€¦

I just have the same thinked build because i like the FF levitation skill but i dont understand whats gives have a thauma with transponse to a FF ? for this build i think to have a RC because i make stroger the ice skills.

Thaum give more than transpose for FF. If you take Thaum C1, youā€™ll get

  1. Usual swell left arm which increase all of your magic.
  2. With FFā€™s blood sucking you can safely go for full int ->transpose -> blood suck and having full hp without needing of cleric. (iā€™m not sure whether they have fixed transpose hp issue though)
  3. Swell body have hidden interaction with ngahundi where you can decay enemies faster than it normally would, though this interaction is more limited than if i am taking necro.

Rune caster is okay if we get giant runes works as mentioned above (intended, not bug which will be patched later). But if youā€™re taking RC solely to improve cryo, I donā€™t really reccomend it because assuming your build is the same as mine, you donā€™t have luxury to have kino1 . Your offensive skill is probably only ice pike and snow rolling which is not worth mentioning. You probably can spam 2xCD ice pike for + 1xCD snow rolling on Lv 5 Rune of Ice and thatā€™s it (Also reminder that the bonus from rune of ice is not exactly 3 times due to how it was calculated). I much rather picking thaum since it affects all of my skill albeit having smaller value.
ā€¦not to mention you need time to cast them without having surespell and quickcast to begin with

Yeah itā€™s quite odd, itā€™s because i like cryo for personal reason without any intended compability.

So far i can live with frost pillar -> blood sucking (with surespell) since i never fully channel it due to sp constraint (fully channeling it eats 75% of my sp, and itā€™s not even that hurts). I use blood sucking solely for healing purpose. And if i can somehow manage to get lv 10 blood sucking (with dropping ngahundi, for example), I think i only need to channel it for 2-3 second to get full hp (with frost pillar) which is manageable even without surespell. If i can drop surespell for something better, then iā€™m gladly reroll for it.

Iā€™m also thinking that blood curse will pair nicely with either frost pillar or snow rolling since i can purposely dragging most enemy to enter blood curseā€™s range without having peltas around and have enough timeframe to cast blood curse due to the fact that enemy are down for about 2-3 seconds after snow roll broke.

What should I do?
Wiz 3 L1 Thaum2 FF
Or
Wiz 3 L1 Sorc 1 Thaum1 FF
Both full int
I already have the second one at rank 5 and another char with thaum2 and i loved reversi

@hourai

Hi, i was going that build too and decided to change it in the end.

At R6 i choose linker 2, my reasoning to leave the FF route its because is a melee mage that needs surespell and quickcast to exploit its full potential.

I love being cryo3 its amazing so to further increase your utility i suggest either changing cryo3 to wiz3 or change the build to cryo3 wizz3 ff2 or what im going to do go sorc2 for r7 and r8 or go necro3.

Its just my point of view since you re going a route pretty similar to mine.

In my opinion going with cryo help a lot to the FF build because you have mobs control from the cryo 3 and nice defens from sub-zero shield, so i don think it needs to have sure spell if blood sucking is just for heals and can make lots of damage from snow rolling blood and curse.

Completely disagree. Frost Pillar is not reliable enough of a CC when all it takes is 1 stray hit to mess up your Blood Sucking. I have a separate Cryo3 character so I know its limitations. Not to mention you will not be able to channel Blood Sucking against a boss, against which Blood Sucking will be your main dps skill.
