What really impress me is the fact that there really are people trying to discredit this topic saying: “you’re an unsatisfied kid who knows nothing and nothing is going to change, hahaha, how dumb, haha”.
Really, guys, really? What the author was doing and I may believe the great majority of us is trying to do is discuss what we perceive that can change to help the game. Of course the biggest part of information here is based on our assumptions, we’re no IMC employees or some high skilled game developers and there is no problem with that! We should post, discuss, debate and make our impressions valid to the development team notice us.
Keep your rage to yourselves and try to give your opinion without prejudicing the others here.
About the enemies respawn i would add another change:
I’m one of many players that used to play Ragnarök Online back in the day, and one of the things that bothers me the most while grinding on ToS is the fixed respawn points, in my opinion that’s just a invite to the bot users and even those players who just macro the auto atack to farm a certain item or monster.
I think that the repawns should be random placed on the map, or even in a delimited area, and timed in a way that there is always a certain amount of each kind of monsters in the map.
No its not. Path of Exile built up from nothing and lives literally off cosmetics and storage pages. No player gets an edge stat-wise, and they’re doing great. They even sell huge packages regularly upwards of $1100 each.
Players will pay for cosmetics, so get to work making some fancy outfits.
By the way, it’d probably be best to change it so those class specific outfits in the cash shop and make them for all classes.
this is something you might want to look back. i believe shout channel should be an essential to any mmo. there’s a lot you can learn, communicate with others player, asking guides. since theres no trade channel, shout is use for trading as well. and for the most important part, the drama. haha. for anyone who doesnt like shout, they can easily turn it off anyway. no hussle.
yes goldseller spam right now is the highest issue they need to handle asap.
i believe theres alot of solution they can implement to stop the goldsellers, but turning off shout feature is not one of them.
Except the fact that only 1% of the people actually use it for that reason, the 99% of the players use the shout channel to spam totally useless message and not only in ToS but in every game i’ve seen… it’a fact that the world chat is even use in between players to “Flame” each other a lot of times, maybe not now on ToS but wait till it gets F2P… and it’s a fact that the ones using it the most are silver sellers… for advertisment
Players still can whisper, normal chant, etc etc… in order to do all the thigns you just said tho
But I think this one should be implemented RIGHT NOW!!
The amount of spam is unreal… make it so you can only send 3 messages or something, make it local/mapwise, and make it so that after 5 blocks that person is muted for an hour… same as RO did for prontera spam.
Let me be clear about this… we have about 30.000 players that play ToS, let’s say that we have half of it online at the same time, 15.000
Let’s divide these 15.000 in between the 4 servers and we can estimate about 3.750 players playing per server at the same time.
Of these 3.750 that are on a server at the same time if you open the shout channel you will see only not more then 30 people actually using the shout channel… that’s less than 1% of the playerbase AND of these people at least 5 are silver sellers.
Of that 25 people remaining only about 5-10 people actually use the shout channel in a decent way and the other ones just ■■■■-talk all the time BUT the shout channel is the primary way for silver sellers to advertise their product in order to exist.
So well… if you’re asking me if i’m willing to sacrifice those 25 people, on 3.750 people that are playing, to prevent silver seller advertisment my answer is, and always be, yes ^^
What i’m not willing to sacrifice is the gameplay experience of the other 3725 people to please those 25 that use the shout chat

at least they should try other options/suggestions b4 completely shutting down the main aspect of multiplayer in mmo. imo.
We dont have a way to share items/silver between our own characters without penalty. We dont have trade system between 2 characters without penalty - all this is “main aspect of multiplayer in mmo” too, but…
The trade restriction is the most urgent issue really. This is so contraproductive, it hurts. FIX NAO PL0X!
Also I hate to suggest this but how about you look at an mmo who does the most things right? Make the shout channels how they are in WoW. Connect the chats in all major cities and group some maps to one single chat. So you’d have “Global CHat: Cities” and “Regional Chat: Mausoleum”, “Regional Chat: Tenet Region” and so on. You can stimm communicate (and more efficiently like this) and goldspammers lose their reach =)
Or just add more restrictions to using a megaphone (Level, Token, Quests, w/e)
IMC please consider the arguments topic creator, has. He is absolutely right. Look how the game’s rating went down since release on steam. All the comments were done by people who have bought founders packages, and still their main arguments are:
trade restrictions
gold seller spam
team storage restrictions
1 dungeon / day without token
The paywall for basic stuff in general is awful. Most of us won’t be able to play with our friends because of it. And personally playing with my friends is most important feature of game for me.
And please stop ignoring gold sellers, where are the bans?
There still is a chance you could fix the situation, do the wipe considering the launch problems, remove paywall restrictions, rework the premium - leave the bonus XP so the people with money but no time to play could keep up with those spending hours ingame, maybe a larger storage, cosmetic bonuses.
IMC please don’t screw it ( the game is good but you are ruining it with way you implement F2P model. We don’t want to wait for another 10 years.
They are put in this specific order because the “Most important ones” are the ones that:
get the most complaints about
needs a very shorter time to fix
Bugs, FPS, and everything else most of the times need way longer to fix and if you leave the “easy” stuff for later then there’ll probably be no later at all since people will get pissed way before that day come.
To explain this in “mmo” language take a boss fight as an example… the boss is obviously the main target BUT it’s the one that takes the most to kill… so instead you kill the ADDS first, since they’re a problem that might prevent you from doing everything else and need shorter time to kill… and AFTER you go for the boss.
