Tree of Savior Forum

Can you give me some advice?

Most useful roles : Tank and supports (your templar, paladin, cleric, chanter or what not)
Most easily replaced roles : DPS in the form of every other class.

Aion was one of the most exciting MMO i’ve played in terms of raiding. Not only did your healers and tanks had to know every single mechanism in the raid. Your DPS had to be quick enough cause there’s a limit on how long your party can last (Due to super long support cooldown skills which will only give you a little more time to kill the boss, otherwise a death blow will wipe you)

I wonder if ToS will be like that?

My tip for you would be to use the search function and actually educate yourself instead of asking for info that is… well, basic, and easily available.

If the class tree is confusing use the skill simulator a bit more to get used to it.

That’s understandable, a lot has changed for swordsman since then.

No, it will get cancelled if you do not have spear on your main hand, you can have anything on your offhand though.

it was like “found out yourselves” thingy

Thanks. This info helped a lot.

@PrinceMark _ I know. I was thinking in the present w/o acess to the game. I cant tell what they do unless i test it. Thats a common sense in any rpg game.
:+1:

It was much easier and way more productive to ask others.
Look at how much more information I got because of this. And not only me, but others who had doubts, as well.
And if I don’t get how the skill simulator works by using it at first, then I’ll obviously ask around. Trying to understand it by using it repeatedly is time-consuming, and inefficient.

More often than not, you learn much more and much faster by asking someone who knows more than you.

I guess we’re just different people. When something interests me I don’t put a question anywhere and wait for an answer, I don’t stop until I find an answer and only if I can’t find one - ask.

Yours might be easier and granted it will give people looking for similar information in the future access to it so no harm done, you got my blood boiling when you said you don’t know how to use the calculator though, I mean cmon it’s not rocket science xD

Regardless, glad you got your answers.

How come a stranger on the internet that doesn’t know how to use a skill simulator gets your “blood boiling”?

I assume we’re adults here, that’s why. It has the same sentiment as if you’d say googling is hard.

And if I thought googling is hard, so what? It’s not like my question was out of place or disrespectful in any way. My inability to use google, assuming I had it, wouldn’t be a problem to you.
I don’t know how “we’re adults here” works as an excuse here, since what you’re saying isn’t very mature…Getting angry at what someone else does when that action has no impact on your life isn’t what I’d call mature, at least. If you get angry at every person that asks something you consider to be “basic and easily available”, you’ll complicate your life for no reason. I used to do that as well, until I realised it was a huge waste of time and energy. Besides, it was none of my business, and I wasn’t going to stop my life everytime someone doesn’t know how to “educate themselves”, like you said.
Also, I’m not sure why you assume I’m an adult. I might be 13 years old, for all you know. And age doesn’t correlate to konwledge or skill… I know you’d expect an adult to know more, but actually, a lot of people don’t really know how to use a computer well, specially adults.

If you’re 13 year old with this sort of behaviour, you might still learn. If you’re an adult then that simply shows lack of self reliance and for that part of your personality - I don’t like you. You seem to be the kind of a person who’d ask me to help you move, and then drink coffee while I carry everything into a van.

Allow me to complicate my life however much I want, it is my life after all ^^

Wow, judging my entire personality and even going as far as saying you don’t like me, based off of 3 comments I made on a post from an MMO forum. Now, that’s real adult-like behaviour!
/thread.

Think many of us have digressed a lot from the OP’s original discussion, probably best for us to stick to it. You can continue your discussion through flagging and choosing the option message each other.

@MarinZep you mentioned an archer build, do you have anything in mind?

Don’t bitch at me just because I pointed it out, lol xD

It isn’t about a post, it’s about the approach. But I’m done explaining, I said my piece, do your homework in the future. Or not, maybe you prefer staying this lazy of a person. Hell, I’m lazy too for the most part so I see where you’re coming from. Ciao.

You’re right. I apologize for derailing the thread.
@thebloodyaugust FatePGN should totally be mod :B
Anyway, about the archer build - I would like to make a build that actually requires /some/ skill to use. I was thinking of making it either 2x archer - 2x quarrel shooter - 2x rogue, or making it 2x archer - 2x ranger - 2x fletcher. Of course, this last one doesn’t require as much timing as a rogue build would, but it could be very useful in dungeons and stuff, much like in RO. (I know I shouldn’t mention it as much, haha~)

This thread is a magnet for special snowflakes.

You can miss your skill if you dont have dex?
or dex hit rate only works for basic attacks?
