IP block is more of a business maneuver than racism. It keeps your prospected customers away from playing other servers than the publisher’s version.
I am only in favor of LUG or any other company being a brazilian publisher for ToS if they follow the same pattern as Guild Wars 2.
Just market the game, then we get infrastructure for dedicated connection to the official server, in ToS case Global/Steam, so we can play without lag.
I don’t want GM’s that don’t understand a thing about games, nor that garbage player support. Urgh
Racism against Brazilian needs to be completed once and for all, since we are always listed as one of the top players in any game created are leaders fired to the point of adding all the other countries of our continent and not achieve the number and quality of our players. Japan is known to be close and not open to anyone, I hope that South Korea did not follow the same example, for the world is increasingly globalized and a step forward would be open to players around the world know this news and exchange experiences !
Do not understand how some games simply prohibit players from other countries can not even play in the Closed Beta, and others to expressly prohibit Brazil ID, Russia and etc … sorry!
Let’s rethink this way to “close the doors” to the world, and instead of building walls and protect only for the local country, build bridges and provide access so that the world can know what they do.

Não entendo como que alguns jogos simplesmente proíbem que jogadores de outros países não possam sequer jogar no Closed Beta, e outros até expressamente proíbem ID do Brasil, Rússia e etc… Lastimável!
Vamos repensar esse jeito de “fechar as portas” para o mundo, e ao invés de construir muros e proteger só para o país local, construam pontes e deem acesso para que o mundo possa conhecer o que fazem.

deixar para LUG tomar conta do jogo no Brasil seria o mesmo que jogar no lixo, assim como ela fez com o Ragnarok e tantos outros títulos que não convém aqui citar.

Just a suggestion for you guys until you get your own version or if you don’t: In JP version of PSO2, English players typically resided on one channel (22 I think) to meet up. It might be effective to hang out on one particular channel in towns.

Just make a SEA/BR server under Steam. same way Dota 2 has a server for SEA/Asia/BR, Not to local publishits.
I’m sure if IMC games asked Steam/Valve It’s probably doable

Quem é brasileiro ainda faz aproximações com o nosso idioma e chega a entender, mas quem não é fica perdido pra caramba. Muitas vezes aqui nesse fórum eu mesmo e pessoas de vários outros países, até países onde inglês é o idioma oficial, escrevemos umas palavras erradas mas que não prejudicam a frase como um todo, aquilo ali simplesmente ta demais.

Se fizerem servidores dentro da steam para cada região assim como Dota 2, CSGO, Wakfu, ficará excelente.
Amigo não sei aonde você viu eu diminuindo o cara. Eu apenas alertei que o texto estava errado em alguma partes. Nunca disse que ele deveria parar de tentar se comunicar em inglês, pelo contrário, meu alerta, que em nenhum momento foi feito de forma agressiva, teve como objetivo apontar algo que talvez ele não tivesse percebido.
Uma coisa é você incentivar alguém apontando os erros e outra é você querer humilhar alguém por pelo menos tentar, aprenda a diferenciar. Agora se você quer passar a mão na cabeça e dizer que tá tudo certo continuar a escrever errado e me crucificar pelo o que eu disse vá em frente.

I have been an MMO player since around 2000, I can say that if it isn’t the Brazilian players it is the… Chinese, French, Filipinos, Russians, English, Koreans, etc… etc… etc…
The best advice I can give is, stop being xenophobic. Just because someone speaks another language doesn’t mean it is the end of the world. Just play with someone else, and if you end up with someone that speaks another language, then that is life.
Stop trying to turn the internet into an >insert language here< only’s club. Multiculturalism Benefits Society, it doesn’t negate from it. The only people who have problems with it, are the ones that innately hate foreigners. To that, shame on you.
Region Locks limit the player’s ability to choose. Brazilian players aren’t going to other servers to destroy your fun. They are looking for fun too, in a game they find appealing.
PS: Stop pandering to the fools who brainwash you into believing that Brazilian players are the plague of the gaming community.

Played on Asiasoft’s RO2 before. Publisher did an ABSOLUTELY NICE job in dooming the game. Then they just closed the server and dumped their players, told them like, “we are done with this game, all your previous effort in game are gone. Don’t cry, come to our new game, DC universe online, lets us milk you again!”. I would rather give a chance to an international publisher than have such kind of local publisher in SEA.
Xenophobic, really a thing in mmos…It just tell how narrow minded of some group of people and lack of tolerance on differences. Despite English considered to be a common and universal language in many parts of the world, there are still many places where people still lack of resources and opportunity in access English language education. Many of those who are poor literate in English might not fully understand the intrinsic feeling that carried by certain words. There are many cases I saw before, that misuse of words unintentionally offended those narrow minded, hence, there come stereotyping like uneducated, cheaters, hackers, laggers, and stereotyping give rise to prejudice and hates.
It is very sad to see there are many threads in this forum still believing everyone else should adapt to one’s knowledge and should comply to the rules that one set based on his/her own culture, which is extremely distasteful and unfair to others

I think it’s fair to remember that companies need to make a profit; running a server is far from free. As there is a general objection to placing the game behind a paywall (which would be the western preference, I think) or having a monthly fee, the publishers have to introduce other ways to earn their profit. If you want a well run game, be sure to contribute enough to justify the playerbase being an asset. A player base that pays nothing (and profiteers through RWT and the like) is nothing but a liability.
