Boss monsters - Way too powerful?

ya, they tested the bosses from CBT 1 and it was too easy, so they made it harder for CBT 2 and even more better in 3… MORE FUN! harder bosses= more fun instead of one shot everything which is kinda boring…

IMC Games is trying to make use of party system and the word boss doesn’t just make the monster fancy, boss means the hardest monster you can fight at that level and REQUIRES a party unless ur a top player and can solo it

And that is a totally fine design. If you want to solo and die, you should restart from zero, and everybody should receive different damage, but i feel like that needs a lot of changes in how they do the damage, because bigger AOE’s and more damage and more defense only makes it more difficult for people playing with mouses or lagging, or both.

EDIT: Just to add, you can actually revive in a boss fight even alone if you use what i think will be currencies that i think will be the “cash”, but it is obtainable just playing the game, the only problem is that with every death you lose durability in your equipment and the boss regen hp for every second you are dead, so it is not like you can just use it all to kill one boss, you will have to give up eventually

I remember back in lineage 2 and in RO early builds, when bosses were solables. They were ridiculous. And people killed them before one could count to 10.

Guild wars 2 has bosses so hard that u need 5 people to kill it. Event bosses requires at least 20 people. And some even 50+ .
Even so tok the hell of a time to kill it. But it was fun and challenging and you would feel accomplished when done.
You really want a challenge and have all those feelings ? Try Guildwars 2. Then come back here.

ya, i know how you feel and i think their trying to get this idea where we actually need people, and i just by looking at Guildwars video u know its hard, no need to try haha

IMC done more than good on this muahahaha XD people complaining the boss hits hard but is killable is a very good thing~

I am lv 78. Have already killed a few field bosses as well. Instanced bosses are fine as it is now. Story line bosses are easy only the later ones hit for more damage but even then it is still easy as they have attack patterns. Field bosses just have high attacks and HP.

May I know where are you now in game? Curious as so far contents are still bearable. What is not bearable is the grind though. Oh and if you hit 1 damage on enemies; you better improve your weapon and your offensive stats. I am grinding at Royal Mausoleum (20 levels higher) and I never hit for 1 damage ( Things do start to hit much harder late game and it’s best to have party than going in alone tbh). If you hit 1 damage it means your damage sucks.

i think if you hit 1 dmg on a boss with a similar level, that is the time you r-u-n! haha

people are spreading stupid rumors that they are only dealing 1 dmg to higher level monsters. the fact is the mob they are facing just have much more higher defences. its just like RO; which is why they are dealing 1 dmg. It’s not the level problem; its the player’s sucky damage. =_=

To be honest, I like it. Most mmos nowdays are too easy, once you know how to beat the boss, you just stand there and press the right buttons. Im glad it will be different here.

I’d prefer if they sped up Boss Monsters animations and have them do 1/3 of Max HP damage per a hit. Also remove the gimmicky random trap system.

I think their speed is mostly what I have an issue with.

This is a great news for me because this is a sign that teamplay, communication, and interaction are needed in this game. Keep those bosses this way, IMC!

I prefer to fight a hard boss with my friends because it’ll feel more challenging and rewarding rather than solo fight a boss easily and got bored in the end, quit the game and blame the game for being sucks/boring.

I am a kCBT tester, and i think the bosses are WAY too easy.

I am so frustrated whenever I kill bosses within 5 mins.

This is a social game, you should be playing with a party, not on your own. Whats hard to understand?

Well, smaller animations usually are weak attacks. Strong attacks are telegraphed (with or without the red targets).
Are you using jump attacks? They are very useful for dodging while attacking, then you use skills just after the boss attacked and is on “internal cooldown”.

Boss monsters are not hard.

You either had a bad party setup, did stats/skills poorly for PvE, or have a more PvP oriented class build.

I rerolled with a party a bunch of times to test classes, some classes have insane difficulty with bosses, while others can sometimes 3 shot bosses.

Currently wizard classes are very OP against bosses, but perform poorly in PvP (because PvP is a little broken atm).

Archer classes tend to be good at everything depending on builds.

Cleric is on the extreme ends of PvP/PvE/Support. You will do very bad at 1 thing, good at a 1 thing, and okay at another.

Swordsman is all around good.

hmmmm, then i guess the hard part of this game is staying alone XD no party= rip haha

@Staryx Solo is still possible, bosses scale to party size, so its doable solo

I like it when a boss is hard for a party but solo-able just harder~
