Apparently these guys troll the forum too because they sorta fixed the old problems that treeofsavoir had (-_-) because it actually links itself to the official website if you click on the forums tab.

Seriously wish they would stop messing around with people’s hopes & expectations on getting a beta key because that is really messed up.

Please note: tosbase.com is a legit website that is a useful database and tool for players, however tosbase (currently down at the time of this post) was hacked and thus the fake emails. Best wishes to those at Tosbase.

We need to let everyone know about that site, hopefully the admins make a new sticky regarding that site.

Thank you for the phising site warning. Everyone should just bookmark/favourite this website, so there’s no chance of typing it in incorrectly and getting caught by one of these.

Hey Cromapook,

we are very sorry that this happened.

our server got hacked this morning and the attacker started to delete our content and send these emails before to all forum members.
i hope nobody got damaged by this,
Flash and me are currently working on restoring all the lost data and setup the server with a higher security level, to prevent those things in the future as best as we can.

@Topic: i don’t know if anyone will find it helpful, but i was a victim of a website like this 14 years ago (yeah this problem is as old as the internet themselve  ) for the game ragnarok online, since this time i follow two easy rules.

  1. i never click on links in an email, today emails are so well made, that you sometimes cant tell if its fake. so if they request me to klick on the link to login, i open the webbrowser and go manually to the page (most spam pishing i get is from amazon and paypal :stuck_out_tongue: ).
  2. when something is announced via email or chat combined with a link, i check out the official developer page before. Because if nothing is written there, the email has to be fake.
(i hope this helps someone ^^ even if it is only one person  )

Kind regards
Gardosen

Now that i think about it, i guess the Hackers want to sell those E-Mail accounts ( and with them the Beta-Keys ).

how about it, we fill their database with fake adresses.

Hey guys, theyre moving more so around the internet. Even on Instagram!

If you help people become aware, the future of your account wont be jeopardized!

The dude is trying to take advantage of desperate people who want Beta keys, please dont fall for his trick!

Just got email from fake email… and i looked at it and looked at other email… i noticed the email from ToS is different… >.> and here had my hope up that beta was open lol… hyper train must be CAREFULLY

Just be sure the website or emails that you’re getting are from the official ToS website, hence www.treeofsavior.com. No more, no less.

Check the spelling, check the url, check if it’s giving you weird instruction like making you to install something. If you are worried about getting into the wrong site, just bookmark this one.

Closed beta hype got me to read this mail from spam lol
Be careful guys!

I had subscribed my email in the scam notification… do you guys have some guidance for me? i have already changed my email password… they sent me another email with a key to insert again in the fake site…

Danger Danger, I have to warn my friends, what should I tell my friends IF they did fall for it? O.O

Hi I jus now got an email from a site noreply.treeofsaviorgame.com@ragnaroksrv.com… and I’m.so glad I miss read the site cause where it asked for.my email, I just entered the key they sent me… Immediately follows was a survey to continue… And.that’s when the red flag piped up in my head and i rushed here to find out…

So glad I did.and hope I didn’t compromise myself without knowing it.

Been a fan for.some.time now and my eagerness to play impair d my judgment. So I just wanna say.to.everyone out.there adding to this post, and to.the threads op… Thank.you.

Here is the exact email that is being sent. It ended up in my Junk folder, but it might not for all providers, and some people likely have them whitelisted.

Wow, what’s the point of making a fake website? Lol.

Quite scary, but that’s a nice heads up. Too bad it’s hard to see for people who may still be a future victim to this.

Try posting the warning on the facebook page?

add them to your mail block list if they send you any mail, report them as spam also.
