Since i decided to a3 qs3 and finally musketeer i followed a lot of people on yt, but this guy went full STR and did a great job (by what i’ve seem around): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nTKMSiEw2AM (playing siaulrai mission hereand facing lvl 280 mobs). His build has a lot of critical rate (he has a video showing equip by equip). It seems to scales pretty well and crits reasonably considering he is engaging same level mobs. He has running shot skill lvl8 with gem and didel GC together. I did 4:1 str:dex (more or less) because I don’t have much time to play and drop like his build (i’m about 400 hours ingame and focused to do the journal plus than create a monster killer). however by what i’ve seem more STR is much better than more DEX IF you are based on a running shoot skill for damage mobs. Sorry but im not a native speaker, so i propably made some mistakes written here. Ty all for sharing your ingame experience.

You’re reading too much into his comments. He never said anything about other builds/stat distributions being stupid nor did he discredit other builds. He’s merely stating what he thinks the optimal stat distribution is. You need to calm down lol
If you read it again, and again, and again, you’ll never ever gonna find anything like you said I said all over my comment. Pls, just read it again and be a nice person, we are all here to make the community better with all experiences we have ingame. You just assume by nothing that i said thinks i didn’t say, and the sentence that finishes your comment fits you: "Anyone that reads your posts KNOWS not to take you seriously."
What i just did was that by what i’ve seem around people using running shot skill get so much more benefits from str than dex, mainly if you have running shot lvl8. Btw, I’m not full str, however it seemed you didn’t read till the end. Just read it again pls.
Its because many people ask for the stats distribution.
In my opnion:
For new to archer/not so rich/low budget/alts
-The best stat is 1str:1dex or 2str:1dex, and make sure you have 30 con by lvl100 (just add CON when you feel you need to)
For players who have already budget/silvers (not their first char)/and looking for best build
-I suggest go pure STR for maximum potential damage because as already stated again and again, crit rate can be obtained by gears, gems and A2 buff.
-
I manage to survive since I have hair acces with HP+700 (x3 so thats HP +2.1k), lvl10 pots which aids me from dungeons - this is where you need CON.
-
Other HP source : Plate set gives +1.7k HP, Virtov Pants +1.4k HP
This is the strong evidence on what you can obtain when we say MIN-MAX:
Long time ago, I had discussion with @Dream (though he already quit the game) and indeed it is very optimal to go pure STR.
- I believe experienced people who saw this discussion and videos also think the same, that “Oh, we really can go pure STR and still have decent crit rate”
Stats are stats, there are no perfect, there are no best, there are only PREFERRED stats, which also depends on the player. Just follow your heart and make decision wisely! (as stat potion cannot purchase in the game).
Here is my QS no stats until level 100 (I spent 1 on DEX during training, and I fcking regret it, since now I’m doing FULL STR)
However, I achieved this because of SACRAMENT. Thanks to Pardoners
BUT then again, its up to you.
and feel free to use stat calculator:

So you are telling everyone to go str build because youll get more dps later on. Anyone going a different build is stupid to you and for some reason you have a hard time understanding not everyone wants to go that path.
I’m merely stating highest DPS for running shot is full STR, regardless of whatever misinfo you spread with “kneeling shot”. Kneeling shot is a terrible skill in a game where half the monsters past 230 will 1-2hko you. You’re never going to use it in grinding parties, you’re rarely ever going to use it in field mob farming, and you’re just asking to get killed by random projectiles if you use it in saalus and sialuai missions.
Dex gives evasion as well as crit. Are you going to start complaining if someone says they think sr2 with dex and vit is better for them long term? Since no one wants to get one shotted.
If you understand how end-game pve works in this game it centers around your party being invulnerable to damage with an almost 100% uptime. Stat Points into CON are also insignificant when you have hp from gems, gear, Squire food buffs, and Plate Mastery. Dodge becomes a non issue because QS3’s are never within melee range of their enemies. QS3’s are also near-immune to archer attacks with a high defense shield equipped.
Dont tell anyone else their builds are uncreditable when you base all your tos knowledge on copy and paste meta builds.
I have 4 different Archer alts and this is my fourth one I’m working on right now. A2 QS3 SR2 isn’t even meta in Korea, A2 Ranger3 SR2 is. I made this build originally to be a flash farmer and a linker3 full STR mule for my guild, but it’s proving to be potentially much more capable than that.
Wow, look how “squishy” I am with no con or dex.
Also, out of all the archer chars I’ve played, this is the only build I’ve played that lets me effectively solo Alemeth truffles/green corpse flowers for 8+ mill exp an hour.
And this isn’t even taking into account the +100% strike damage I get when enemies get debuffed by lethargy. I can easily see 12-13k crits in grinding parties with 400+ crit rate from Swift Step and Chronomancer’s Quicken. I don’t even have level 6 gems yet, so can potentially get about 33 more base crit rate if I grinded that out.
The only reason why I’m so confident in recommending this build is because I’ve tested it against multiple other archer builds, and its easily the most effective one if you favor extremely high mobility and ridiculous aoe damage, good sustained single-target damage, and fast clear times. It’s also one of the only builds in the game that can get away with full STR because you never have to be in melee range to deal consistent damage, unlike other classes like Sapper, Fletcher, Ranger, or Rogue.
But what do I know, according to you I’m just a nub who only watches kr sr videos so that I can pretend like I know how to play this game.
Wow, you just melted those green corpse flowers (around 110k hp) GJ!
After the muskeeter i’m in, the next will be SR2, but not sure about the middle path. Awesome stuff. Congrats!
What about 3:1 STR DEX with some con? is it okay?
Still optimal, by this stat you can drop Sissel Bracelet and use Glad Band if you need AoE + attack ratio.
for a +8~10 grand cross, when do people swap for a higher leveled xbow/bow? do QS even use bows?
i’m pretty sure it’s been asked already but search isn’t working for me right now.
You use your Grand Cross till you get your Didel Grand Cross. 80% more damage is no joke
+10 beats even +0 lvl 170 xbows, +15 is a diamond. but at lvl 170, 2h bows win out vs flying targets.
are there other options aside from DGC at 220+
only for flying targets by a bit. DGC is godlike for qs3 running shot damage. it has the base damage of other 220 xbows and the +2 to skills that makes it worth a weapon 100+ damage above it.
Not sure if I’m reading your chart correctly, but with 223 crit rate, assuming that the monster has zero crit resistance, you would have a crit chance of 33.45%, assuming you are level 280.
Crit chance = (Crit rate - target crit res) * (42/your level).
So if every monster had zero crit resistance, your effective damage would be 7,309.24 using your damage numbers for full STR. I don’t know what the average crit resistance of a monster is, but if it’s 100, the crit chance would be 18.45%, making the effective damage 6,768.60.
Also, while you can obtain crit rate from items as a full STR archer, you can also obtain extra damage from items as a full DEX archer while maintaining as close to 100% crit chance as possible. Assuming a target crit resistance of 100, you would need 767 DEX to achieve 100% crit chance at level 280. Any open slots in items can be used for additional damage items.
I think the comparison between full STR and full DEX is much closer than this and isn’t as clear cut as some may present it. I won’t even get into evasion as this seems to be a topic focusing on damage.
My apologies if I read your chart incorrectly or misinterpreted anything.
That’s 233 crit rate from equips +collection, you get 65 base crit rate at 280, then Dex is added and Crit Rate buffs like Swift Step and Quicken are then factored in on top of that. I also didn’t take into account crit rate you can get from lolopanther gear, virtov leather gloves, or red veris gloves.
I have a column for factoring crit defense if we’re talking about a specific monster, but for the sake of stat comparisons I left it at 0. Increasing the crit defense of the target doesn’t really change the ratio comparisons significantly.
Also lol, interesting to see my post flagged by the community as offensive.
Thanks. Do you have the crit rate numbers for each setup?
The crit resistance defintely matters when comparing full STR vs full DEX. If the full DEX setup can maintain 100% crit chance regardless of the crit resistance of the monster while the full STR’s crit chance can go from, let’s say, 50% to 20%, the numbers can change dramatically.
No idea why your post would be marked as offensive though. It’s informative.
Hey man, can i ask you, whats your point for a1 qs3 and fletcher3? Would eq be able to compensate the lost of swift step buff? Or i could get a2 at rank 8? Lol…
Semi-AA with spam skill build.
I’m feeling a little demoralised after investing so much in my
archer. I bought a manamana and sissel for my lvl 200 hybrid 1:1 str dex
QS3. I have about 410 crit rate with swift step and kneeling shot. On average, I deal ~650 raw damage and ~1.3k crit damage on the golems in Siauliai mission without running shot.
There was once I was in a party with a full str lvl 210 QS3 who is using cafrisun set + arde + GC, with no other fancy accessories (e.g. sissel). but yet he is doing ~900 raw damage and ~1.8k crit damage on the golems without running shot.
Although i am able to get critical hits on the mobs most of the time… I still feel kind of inferior when I see the occasional critical hit from the full str QS that is doing 1.8k to nearly 2k to the mobs at times…
Another question, should I try to aim for p.atk or critical atk enchancement headgears? I know getting both will be the most ideal… but its not that easy though.
just like any other game, the more raw power you have, the more value you get from crit rate and vice versa. but ya, if good crit chance you were probably doing about 1000 average damage, where he was likely doing 1050 average damage.
