Auto Attack (A2/QS3/x/x) Guide

for a +8~10 grand cross, when do people swap for a higher leveled xbow/bow? do QS even use bows?

i’m pretty sure it’s been asked already but search isn’t working for me right now.

You use your Grand Cross till you get your Didel Grand Cross. 80% more damage is no joke

+10 beats even +0 lvl 170 xbows, +15 is a diamond. but at lvl 170, 2h bows win out vs flying targets.

are there other options aside from DGC at 220+

only for flying targets by a bit. DGC is godlike for qs3 running shot damage. it has the base damage of other 220 xbows and the +2 to skills that makes it worth a weapon 100+ damage above it.

Not sure if I’m reading your chart correctly, but with 223 crit rate, assuming that the monster has zero crit resistance, you would have a crit chance of 33.45%, assuming you are level 280.

Crit chance = (Crit rate - target crit res) * (42/your level).

So if every monster had zero crit resistance, your effective damage would be 7,309.24 using your damage numbers for full STR. I don’t know what the average crit resistance of a monster is, but if it’s 100, the crit chance would be 18.45%, making the effective damage 6,768.60.

Also, while you can obtain crit rate from items as a full STR archer, you can also obtain extra damage from items as a full DEX archer while maintaining as close to 100% crit chance as possible. Assuming a target crit resistance of 100, you would need 767 DEX to achieve 100% crit chance at level 280. Any open slots in items can be used for additional damage items.

I think the comparison between full STR and full DEX is much closer than this and isn’t as clear cut as some may present it. I won’t even get into evasion as this seems to be a topic focusing on damage.

My apologies if I read your chart incorrectly or misinterpreted anything.

That’s 233 crit rate from equips +collection, you get 65 base crit rate at 280, then Dex is added and Crit Rate buffs like Swift Step and Quicken are then factored in on top of that. I also didn’t take into account crit rate you can get from lolopanther gear, virtov leather gloves, or red veris gloves.

I have a column for factoring crit defense if we’re talking about a specific monster, but for the sake of stat comparisons I left it at 0. Increasing the crit defense of the target doesn’t really change the ratio comparisons significantly.

Also lol, interesting to see my post flagged by the community as offensive.

Thanks. Do you have the crit rate numbers for each setup?

The crit resistance defintely matters when comparing full STR vs full DEX. If the full DEX setup can maintain 100% crit chance regardless of the crit resistance of the monster while the full STR’s crit chance can go from, let’s say, 50% to 20%, the numbers can change dramatically.

No idea why your post would be marked as offensive though. It’s informative.

Hey man, can i ask you, whats your point for a1 qs3 and fletcher3? Would eq be able to compensate the lost of swift step buff? Or i could get a2 at rank 8? Lol…

Semi-AA with spam skill build.

I’m feeling a little demoralised after investing so much in my
archer. I bought a manamana and sissel for my lvl 200 hybrid 1:1 str dex
QS3. I have about 410 crit rate with swift step and kneeling shot. On average, I deal ~650 raw damage and ~1.3k crit damage on the golems in Siauliai mission without running shot.

There was once I was in a party with a full str lvl 210 QS3 who is using cafrisun set + arde + GC, with no other fancy accessories (e.g. sissel). but yet he is doing ~900 raw damage and ~1.8k crit damage on the golems without running shot.

Although i am able to get critical hits on the mobs most of the time… I still feel kind of inferior when I see the occasional critical hit from the full str QS that is doing 1.8k to nearly 2k to the mobs at times… :sob:

Another question, should I try to aim for p.atk or critical atk enchancement headgears? I know getting both will be the most ideal… but its not that easy though.

just like any other game, the more raw power you have, the more value you get from crit rate and vice versa. but ya, if good crit chance you were probably doing about 1000 average damage, where he was likely doing 1050 average damage.

If I remember correctly, the critical attack is added directly to the formula: attack*1.5 + crit.attack. Therefore, it’s more beneficial to get p.attack enchantment than crit.attack.

Btw, to anyone reading in this thread. I’m still looking for AOE class to fill in rank 5&6. My class path is something like this A1>QS3>?>?>Musk. I prefer not going the meta SR build even though it’s the optimal choice.

  • Falconer: not mind going but Circling nerf makes he hesitant about this class
  • Sapper 2: Just wondering about Broom Trap viability at end game
  • Wugushi: Gu Pot overlap? That’s a big concern since I saw Wugu quite often even in dungeons

archer2 falcon, circling nerf hurts musket, but musket is still insane with a linker in group as its almost what circling snipe is right now. plus circling multishot is still super strong and circling helps others in party too; people rave over it + magic missle. archer 2 for swift step and better multishot 10 hits and reduced cast time.

alternative, wugushi 2 for insane 1 target damage build focusing on qs3 (plus wugu and musket makes you the bane of linked mobs). this one suffers in aoe department other than against linked mobs or another archer’s circling. would be a fun build to play- apply poisons hit running shot, run around like an idiot spamming autos, reapply poisons as they come up, musket skill and multishot during running shot downtime.

So going A2>Falcon, my AOE is pretty much limited to Caltrop and Multi Shot. That’s 11 hits of Multi Shot vs 24 hits of Broom Trap. Plus Linkers aren’t always available, I usually solo most of contents anyway

sapper most personal aoe, falcon good personal aoe with strong party aoe support, wugushi path least aoe but doubly effective with linker compared to the other 2.

sapper least 1 target, falcon gets strong addition compared to sapper path due to 1 extra rank chosen and should be archer 2 for swiftstep and much better multishot, while wugushi gets about as much buff to 1 target through poisons if not more.

I guess Falconer path then. I really love the Hawk even though it is squishy. Plus Lv10 Multi Shot is a force to be reckoned with. 6 Multi Shots every 42 seconds vs 1 Broom Trap every 40 seconds. Obvious to see who wins here

could you enlighten me/us what is the/will be nerf for circling?

afaik, only the snipe aim box was nerfed that is why they called “circling musketeer nerfed” (this is from kTOS) which already fixed in iTOS.

other than that, I don’t know what else nerf circling had (Ktos)/will have (in our iTOS).

tia.

Circling reduce AOE defense ratio of mobs in its aoe to 0. Theoretically, you can hit an infinite numbers of mobs inside the aoe thanks to Circling. Thus using single target (or super small aoe) but hard hitting skills such as Sniper or Multi Shot, you can easily deal an obscene amount of damage to all mobs.

But Circling has been nerfed in kTOS, the aoe defense ratio reduction is limited to 1 so you can only hit a limited number of mobs instead of everything

I see, having 1 AoE ratio considers the monster size, thus it will be useless. Lol RIP Falconers

Well, to be honest, unless you plan on entirely focusing on ET, Circling is still good in normal PvE where mob density is at maximum of 8 (need clarification) mobs aggro per character on screen. I can spare a Gladiator Band and Vubbe Fighter Glove to hit 3 more mobs since I already have them. Most DPS of QS 3 builds come from Running Shot anyway.

Or you can take the meta SR2 route. Retreat Shot hits 10 mobs at once (Lv10 I think). And it’s pretty much Frost Cloud level of damage
