Are you people even care for IMC and the game?

What the hell is going then?
As consumer, we should worry on business entity financial status?

Do you worry on KFC financial status when you eating fried chicken?
You may say, we did paid for chicken but here we didn’t pay for TOS yet

then again,
we know the price before we order chicken,
we know they will fried it and it will be done within 20minutes
we can sue KFC if we food posioned

For TOS,
we assumed free OBT and imc give us surprise early access
we had to PAY to play unfinished, unpolished, incomplete game
we are playing beta game and agree to TnS , EULA
so even server got severe bug and had to shutdown for several days(within founder month), we had to tolerate it

tdlr: why consumer should responsible for IMC financial mismanagement and emergency fund?

Edit: and apparently, they just want some quick money for now instead of fixing bugs?

They’ve apologized and they’re repricing their model to accommodate more people into the Early Access Beta as part of that apology. No they haven’t apologized for the “coming soon” thing but truthfully they never gave a date or very direct details of their release plan. So any points based off of that are moot.

“But soon isnt 3 months” - In the span of the 3 years it took to make the game, and the supposed potential longevity it can have, im sure 3 months isn’t a long wait. Movies say COMING SOON all the time but nobody gets their pitchforks and up in arms over that. Your parents probably told you soon whenever you asked for something expensive as a child.

The community is also too blame for over-hyping and putting too much faith on false info March the 14th. Because of this people were probably twice as shocked, 1 day after the false prediction and little info to go by already was a potion for disaster and we all played a part.

I agree, if IMC really needed help, instead of doing this shaddy cash grab, they shud have just made a kickstarter with tiered rewards, it would have been way better.

I do agree with some of your points, i dont mind waiting the 3 months since il have dark souls 3 to play soon, it was just more the slap in the face of the anouncement that’s got people rilled up, also some people may have counted on the “soon” and booked vacations or what not to play the game with their friends, circustances may vary. Also i didnt see the apology thing, so my bad.

What do expect from people who sees nothing wrong with IMC selling early leveling, early farming, early gearing, etc. for a lengthy 3 months which gives a huge edge for paying players over free players?

Honestly, even if I’m from a 3rd world country, I do have the capacity to earn $50 within a few hours but I would rather not buy this founder’s exclusive access. I cannot stomach this blatant scam of IMC.

I’m going to bed.
Before that, I’m going to put it in point form for you because you refused to read about the complaints.

  • We complain because the founders packs were BAD FOR THE COMMUNITY.

  • Not everyone complained about the price. The bigger problem is the 3 month paywall they set.

  • I had a ridiculous sum (compared to most) of money saved up to spend on this game if it had promise.
I still think the 3-month thing is bs. It’s not about the money. It’s about hurting your own players, your own game and your reputation for money.
That’s gross. It’s scummy and that, is not worth my 50$.
A dead game with a damaged community run over with trashy business decisions.

  • Founders packs are greedy… and a business model. I accept that.
This? This was rude and lazy. Disrespectful to their players.

  • I’m really tired of typing this, so I hope this will be enough for you.

I won’t reply to this post.
Bring it to PM if you want to DISCUSS it.
If you’re just trying to tell me I’m wrong, save it.

I doubt anyone is actually worried about imc’s financial status, its more giving em a solid foundation so I know if the cash shop is a p2w rng cluster ■■■■ and other things are priced ridiculously I can abandon the game after a few months. Because wth they shoulda been well off after such a successful Early Access launch! I then cut my losses, and still know i only paid 50 for 3 months of gaming. Thats still pretty good to me for a genre of MMOs that i like and a game i wouldnt mind dropping some money on

Same case here. Just don’t know how to properly voice it out so QFT.

Man you don’t have to pay or buy TP.

What the problem in waiting?

This stupid discussion won’t help anything if you can afford 50 bucks wait until u can or when go free and you a all piss off about price.

100 TP = 9 bucks
200 TP = 18 bucks
350 TP = 31,5 Bucks
600 TP = 54 bucks

NOW

200 TP 18 + 1 month headstart 1,99 = 19,99 bucks
350 TP 31,5 + 2 month headstart -1,51 = 29,99 Bucks
600 TP 54 + 3 month headstart - 4,01 = 49,99 bucks

and for other countries,

  • The price we announced is based on the price that will be applied to the US. Please check the Steam Store Page for your regional prices. They will be adjusted by Steam Standards.

please tell me why all this fuss ?

Not about the money, read topics.

If you don’t get this part, you won’t really get why it’s a problem.
You can at least see the effects right?

I’ll leave the less-than-obvious out, but you did notice the community destroying itself over it.
Can you not figure out (any reason) why?

Even if you can’t, that in itself is a problem for the game.

IMC: Hello everyone! We are back to announce that Open Beta will come soon.

IMC puts poster of Open Beta "Soon in front of their house.

User: Cool! Then I’ll come back later to check on it.

a week later user knocked on IMC house to ask what is the estimate time for open beta, the house looks empty so the user went home, did the same thing every single day for weeks. Then one day IMC opened the door.

User: Oh hello you’re back.

IMC: Welcome, we are now announcing that you have to pay $49.99 to play 3 months earlier than everyone else.

User: Wait why?

IMC: Are you paying or not?

User: Uhh no?

IMC removed the Open Beta “Soon” poster in front of their house.

IMC shuts the door in your face.

Users enraged for being deceived by a friend who he/she helped for all those years. All he/she wants is a reason why they did it but IMC went silent and let the tension rise.

It’s not about the price or the early access, but the feeling of being tricked or deceived by someone you trust. All we wanted was an explanation or even an apology as to why they did it. They could have talked to the community about it and asked for suggestions. They could have asked for donations or something like that rather than surprising everyone.

In this case yes. Because if IMC’s financial status goes bust. I won’t see ToS for a long long time (potentially never).

This is why you make an informed decision / purchase / donation.

Yes they definately want some quick cash now. Yes they want that money so they can continue to work on ToS.

@dog_593

This is factual. IMC didn’t do anything technically wrong. The problem was the community was expecting a free unrestricted OBT but got a paywall OBT.

No worries dude I’ve been guilty of misreading and missing posts too so all is good. Many schools have Spring/March break as well as Reading week for uni/college. So yeah I can understand that a lot of rage is stemming from younger crowds and many a bored people

It’s not a scam until they fail to deliver what they advertised.

And you don’t have to play on the founder server (most likely scenario).

And how can you be scammed when you didn’t lose any money?

I suppose misleading users, trying to pull a cash grab on them and overall just using the OBT as a bait-and-switch for a paid version isn’t wrong anymore.

My heart has been scammed, plus it makes ur company look really bad.
