Archer2 vs Rogue1

Okay so I basically want to ask how much of the playerbase who main archers, specifically crit builds, choose Archer2 vs Rogue1?

I gave Rogue 1 a try before, but I was just turned off how short the duration is with Sneaky Hit with only Rogue1. I will understand with Rogue2 but…

Also, getting tied up with 3 ww cards feels like a downside to me…

I am just asking because as we make it farther into the game, flat bonuses are becoming obsolete. Archer2’s Swift Step can actually be relied on other archers… And rogue gives crit % vs flat crit rate so there’s that…

Just thinking whether to pick up Rogue1 again for tomorrow’s R10.

So how many Archer 3’s do you expect to see? Especially with Ranger1 at R2.

I’d take both, if you can shove them in. Otherwise, Rogue 1.

No I meant 3, but it’s twisted logic, so don’t mind me. Just remember that there’s lots of Ranger3 Fletcher3 Mergen2’s that will probably go Mergen3.

Anyways, I’m resetting out of SR and taking QS3 off my BM.

As someone who has both, I wouldn’t recommend C1 only of nether of them…

if those are your only options go Archer 2

It’s only 10sec downtime.
Use gem, 6 sec.
Sometime you’ll get DM, left 2sec.

Then occasionally you’ll party with Chrono and Diev and Krivis.
And many rank 10 CM with camp map so 100% uptime.

How does that work? Does the camp buff follow you into CM?

As what I have seen, the new cm maps will be campable. So it looks like even if you enter and inside cm, you still have the camp buff… Reason why a lot of builds in ktos benefit having so long Glass Mole effects and such…

Yeah some builds can’t just fit both in… Will be really nice if they do…

Yeah could be, howevee I personally just find it annoying coz it is not all the time you get to party with diev chrono krivis

Also there is the part you are stuck with 3 ww cards and have no other options. I know that Marnox is purple but only gives +15 crit rate and that is very low, especially for its price.

makes no sense having a build with archer 2 rogue 1.
you either go rogue 2 and commit 3 werewolfs or embrace archer 2 and ignore rogue.

It’s two different crit mechanics. If you already have no downtime in your skill rotation, what’s the point adding more rank that you probably won’t ever use.

So what do you suggest?

Marnox is a joke. You go WW or bleed/poison combo card so no Rogue.

If you gonna play rogue 1 with werewolf cards you are shitting the archer 2 build, other cards would be more effective in any build by pumping the damage, if you gonna play without werewolf cards the crit is unreliable and you gonna be spamming a bad skill every 70s.
I can’t argue the best replacement since i don’t have the entire build, but assuming you would go ranger 3 or qs3 you could commit rank 5/6 on rogue 2 or archer 2+any, and you still could get appraiser for the 7th rank making the path to 8,9,10 into a solid build.

There. Both build mostly get their rotation on BM3 and Musket3. So you suggest A1-Rogue2? As I mentioned above, Rogue1 is downtime is not that bad and Archer2 still gives crit rate to whole party. It’s a preference, not shiit.

unless you plan being a sup it’s ok go archer 2 than.
rogue 2 is more complete anyways and it doesn’t look you are wasting 3 purple cards.

It really depends on what is your build

Something like SR benefits from rogue more being able to re-position constantly
I think musket3 wont work well with rogue at all … Probably will get aggro n target will face you. Also musket’s kit dont offer him much mobility to re-position

In any case i feel archer 2 ranger 2 should be a consideration
if your build is non-bow and plans to build around high% crit

Sneaky hit crits chance is way better than archer 2 additional crit rate, but as people Stated above it relies on 3 werewolf ccards, cheaper than marnox

Guys, guys. I am actually quite aware that even at Rogue1, Snakey hit gives more than SS. It is being stuck with 3 ww cards that makes me feel restricted with purple cards that feels like a con to me, knowing that if you take Rogue you should use ww cards as well.

Marnox purple card is a trap. +15 crit rate at level 10 lul.

Going back, it is as simple as “is the trade off being a Rogue and stuck with irreplaceable ww cards worth it or not” kind of question toall of us. :slight_smile:

remember, archer are long range attacker which stay behind the line. Keep cool head and just let other player aggro your enemies, thus you dont obligated to use ww card anymore. I played rogue since before ww card has any function.

sneak hit greatest weakness is against boss like gazing golem and that three stack of cube. Hard to tell which is the back.

If you are nothing without ww card, then you shouldn’t pick Rogue
