Archer aoe+solo farming, rate this build please

I am new to archers. I need a build with good aoe, that can solo farm with ease and do good damage overall. Here is what I have made

Can you advise me on circles, please? Is my choice good?
Have I made any mistakes in my skill choice?

Any help would be appreciated, thank you in advance!

since Ranger1 doesnt bring much to the table in the end, i would scrap Ranger and Falconer to go for Sapper Rank 2 for Broom Trap

Wugushi and Sapper synergize well since Poison and Trap Damage scale of STR Stat

Thank you! But I don’t really want to go sapper… is there anything else but sapper that could help improve the build? should i go archer2-ranger3 -falconer-musket instead? will it be better for farming?

thats probably better yeah, altho you have to be aware that Ranger requires a Bow for the skills while Musketeer uses a musket, which means you will have to weapon switch.

Maybe i could help you more if i knew what you are aiming for. For Example does the build have to include Falconeer or Musketeer etc.

I would like to include a rank7 class in the build. Falconer is there for circling, but it can be dropped if the build could do good aoe without circling.

Take away those circles in Wugushi and instead pick 2 in Ranger. Youll have improved DPS (single and AoE target). And since you do want to focus in AoE damage, choose Cannoneer as rank 7 class, keeping Falconer. Musketeer is cool and all, but Snipe doesnt have that huge AoE anymore.

Swap archer C2 for ranger C2 to get more levels on barrage
you don’t need swift step crit bonus since wugushi skills can’t crit

Or you can take away falconer and get ranger C2 instead, and for solo AoE archer i recommend cannoneer over muskteer

I’ll use this build for my first archer

I wouldn’t recommend going Wugushi because it doesn’t have good AoE. Since one of the skills poison spread works based on your auto-attacks (Wugong Gu) you will never be able to get it to spread to 15 targets making it not a real AoE spell, due to high STR. Leaving the only other AoE being Throw Gu Pot.

I would recommend Sapper more than Wugushi, but since you don’t want Sapper I won’t include it.

The above build is more or less the build I am going right now. I’m currently level 81 and plan to switch out Musketeer for Scout at R7.

The idea of this build is to have the crazy high AoE skills that Ranger C3 can provide while also having fantastic single target for bosses because of Multishot + Steady Aim combo.

Archer C3: Full Draw sucks don’t get it. Max Multishot and Oblique as much as possible. (Oblique level 15 can be a match for Scout C3’s Split Arrow.). You can leave Swift Step at level 10 to get Twin Arrows if you want it.

Ranger C3: This is all the AoE you’ll need. I leave Barrage at level 4 because it SUCKS (Doesn’t scale, great skill though.). In my opinion High Anchoring is better because it scales into late game and gets rid of 15 Crit Resist on enemies it hits. Bounce Shot is great and because of Spiral Arrow I didn’t pick up Twin Arrows in Archer C3. MAKE SURE YOU LEAVE ONLY 1 POINT IN CRITCAL SHOT. (15 SP for 62% more Crit?!?! Count me in!)

Musketeer: R7 classes are really strong. Either one is good, but using Sniper gives you 400% damage + 6000. Using this skill at the end of Steady Aim makes it hit super hard.

This build is based off of going 3:1 STR DEX.

sir, I love your build!
It matches my interest a bit so I modified it slightly and can you give your opinion for my build too?

My aim here is to maximize Snipe skill dmg, so I switched Archer C3 to Scout C1, for Cloaking add dmg and survival-ability. Kneeling is just for fun and I already have 1 point in Full Draw so…
Btw, having maxed Oblique will cause some sp-shortage is it not? How do you deal with it?

Huh, that’s pretty hilarious. I hope you can hit over 80k on bosses!

I think you shouldn’t have Kneeling Shot. I REALLY used to love this skill, but Critical Shot and a whole bunch of other things really outshine it. (Those points would go into Oblique.)

Regarding the SP shortage. Yes, you do use a lot of SP, but it’s never been a problem for me. I kept Oblique at level 1 until I had excess money to spend on potions. I had 0 problems after level 40. (Sitting on 300k and 40 SP potions at level 81)

Your Ranger build is perfect as is.

In Scout get rid of Flu Flu. I know it’s there and you COULLDDDDD use it but it’s such a bad skill. You could use Bounce Shot instead since it’s a better use of SP.

Musketeer builds are weird. I don’t think Headshot is useful in any scenario because it looks like it’s single target. Butt Stroke, while a great name for a skill, is useless in my opinion because you have to get up close. I would get rid of Headshot and Butt Stroke to make Penetrating Shot better.

(Don’t quote me on Musketeer stuff. I never got to test any of it. I’m not going a R7 class because I’m worried one of the next 3 Archer classes might require a different weapon. I rather not dedicate myself to a musket or cannon before I see those classes.)

Your build is great. I hope I get to see a 100k+ Sniper crit from you.

Wugushi is more single target. Throw Gu Pot is their real AoE, and Wungong Gu isn’t reliable. Along with that, they both have long CDs.

Following up that Ranger C1 with Ranger C3 would be a better choice for consistent AoE damage. Also as some have suggested, end the build with Facloner + Cannoneer; not Falconer + Musketeer.

My god, a ranger build without maxed Barrage. What’s this madness?

Yeah, I think I’ll try things out a bit more before I use my skill reset, the sp shortage always haunting me in iCBT haha
Regarding Musketeer build, I think I’ll stick with musket for a long time so it’s not a problem for me. The reason I choose to put points in other skill rather than Penetrating Shot (PS) is I find PS’s casting time is rather inconvenient since you have to stand still, and the dmg is not that great compare to other skills.
I really am not looking for another AoE (straight line all the more) if I’ve taken ranger circles. Focusing on putting down single target (as the sniper concept) is my focus here; and Head Shot can hinder mage/cleric classes greatly in PvP too!
Thank you for your input

Thank you guys so much!!! :cherry_blossom:

I have made up my mind on the circles now. Could you please comment on my skill choice? Is there anything that should be changed?

Here it is:

i would leave shootdown at 1 and put 4 points into siege burst, but else this build looks good. Have fun :smile_cat:
