Anyone buying a new PC? :)

you probably need a budget of like 400-600 bucks to build a PC or get a laptop that will play this game on max settings. you are in luck cuz the holiday season is approaching so you can surely get like a 600-700 dollar laptop marked down to around 400, or build a PC for cheap at around 500-600.

yeah but i live in Russia xD

Leaning towards intel / nvidia is not a bias, it is the correct choice of life my friend ^^

Though it has to be said, nvidia lost a lot in my eyes because of the gtx 970 scandal. That’s why I bought a 980 instead xD

Edit: Also, I prefer buying parts that have a high default clock and overclocking the ā– ā– ā– ā–  out of them on top of it. My old i5 2500k was running at 4.5 ghz ^^ My new i7 4790k is well also at 4.5 ghz but it’s still stronger then the old one because of haswell architecture ^^

I’m going for an Intel Octa Core CPU (6 cores) with 32 GB RAM, 2 500 GB SSDs and the best nVidia graphics card I can get my hands on. Not now, but I guess mid-2016.

I installed windows 10 on this computer over 2 months ago and the option to revert to 7 is still here, just go to settings, update & security, then backup. I think it requires a backup to be made in windows 7 before upgrading to 10, i don’t use the built in windows backup feature so i’m not sure lol.

Just a suggestion if you will be building a rig right now in a budget buy a G3258 PROC INTEL AND BUY A B85 GAMING BOARD 8GB RAM + 1TB HDD + 120GB SSD FOR OS you’re good to go you can upgrade to i5 or i7 in the future. :stuck_out_tongue:

ā€œOCTAā€ IS 8…

The only 8 core direct Intel CPU is the 5960X which yields 16 threads since they have 2 threads per core but Windows registers them as such…hence, you may want to look into a higher in 4 or 6 core processor.

Stay away from AMD.

I will definitely check back with you after doing my homework :cookie: :cookie:

FRESH SUPPLIES! Omnomnom xD

If you wanna use your PC for gaming, I highly recommend holding off on getting 10. There are compatibility issues with a lot of games in 10. And even if you don’t get 10 but change your mind later, they are offering free upgrades for 7, 8, and 8.1 users. I’m still using 7-64Bit and it runs beautifully (no updates installed).

I’ll keep that in mind, Thanks

Stay away from amd cpu AND gfx? or just the cpu. I have an intel i7 4660k for a couple of years and still run everything smoothly.

Which games? I’ve been using 10 since release day and been playing tons of different games on it with no problems.

For graphics cards, AMD is more bang for your buck, but Nvidia is usually higher quality overall. So if you have the money i would go with Nvidia, if you are on a budget go with AMD.

The Intel i7 is mainly for doing video/music editing compared to an i5, although it doesn’t hurt to upgrade for the extra speed. If you build a new pc any time soon you’ll most likely want to re-use the i7 you have.
