Announcement Regarding Price Changes and South American Server

50% discounted price is still 36% higher than it was before. Imagine our frustration, when we could buy it, but decided to postpone?

The most obvious and logical solution. Well played!
And I like the discounted DLCs being treated as seperate packs.

Now, can we get a regional block, please.

In my region (Russia) we had ~75% price reduction. So without regional prices with discount it’s 50% vs 25% old (vs 18% expected). So it’s more than 2 times more expensive for me. And please, don’t say anything about 75% price reduction, average salary in my country is ~300 dollars, and 250 of them are living expences.

For me TP prices w/o regional adjustments are inadequately high, that’s why steam is adding those adjustments from the start. NOBODY in my region will buy it without price adjustments.

Take in account that SA speaks spanish and portuguese, so you’ll probable need to make a deccision in what will be the main language to communicate in shouts, forums, etc.

And another more important thing, PLEASE DO NOT HOST SERVER IN BRAZIL, they dont have the better internet connection in SA. The best country to host is CHILE and thats why big organization like Google or League of legends have their servers in Chile. Again, please make your research well and you’ll see that.

You read it. They are adjusting prices for SA and SEA servers only.

I guess you will have to either play on SEA and get a discount or EU with no discount then.

Why would I play on SEA with 300 ping? I want to buy packs on previous price and play on Fedimian with good ping.

Better go anywhere else with your useful suggestions.

Yeah I can understand it… I actually never had any regional price… I’m totally left out from this even by Steam… I just hoped for something X)…

I’m from middle EU from a poor country so SEA server is also bad for me…but nvm I’m mostly free player in games anyway. I’m used to it.

I’ll still try to buy the DLCs because I don’t say it is totally unaffordable for me… I just think mostly I won’t buy tokens for example monthly,

But I also have some credit card issues at the moment… I hope I won’t miss the DLCs, XD

Thank you!
@hkkim

good luck with the lag and delay on pvp battle, massive dungeons and guild wars!

I read you son. ā€œThose peopleā€ being seflish and prideful pricks as they are can just shut the hell up now.

f2p release has been pushed back?? That’s really bad news! :frowning:

200-250 to Singapore, 30-50 to EU. So nope, that is not a solution. Still we are used to it and can allow a couple of costumes and other items from time to time.

…My friend already bought it after the price increase…

because he think that we should have standard price and it will not be the same price as before again…

R.I.P.

Just got 472 to Singapore from Moscow. 90 to Frankfurt. My connection is really bad .

Actually I have the highest ping to Singapore.

Explain to me that Why with other servers, Argentina, Peruvians and some other latin america plays on Brazil server on Dota 2?

Believe me player base Brazil > South America. So its almost 100% they will build it at Aws in Brazil.

I’d like to ask a question, kinda unrelated to what the main topic of the answers is.

If someone bought the first pack with the companion hoglan in it, if after the discount this player decides to buy the same pack again, what do you do with the voucher to buy the companion? Will it be possible to trade it for the rat-like pet maybe, even if it costs less, or for the hawk?

Just curiosity by the way, the discounted pack has good value regardless of the voucher.

They probably will use AWS servers, and AWS only has servers in Brazil

League of legends has 3 different SA servers, but the first one was in Brazil as well.
Diablo 3 has only 1 server in SA and it’s in Brazil exactly because it uses AWS like ToS. I played Diablo 3 for 3 years and I never seen language problems, everyone speaks English when needed. The ping was never an issue too, as far as I talked to some other south americans, but this is something you can tell me better as I’m brazilian.
Sure I can’t talk for you, but I would say those problems have to do with routes from some ISPs, not the server itself. Would appreciate if you had D3 or another AWS based game to give us some insight.

And I’m really happy. IMC <3
