Announcement Regarding Changes in Plans (Poll Closed)

Если они предложили вариант с 1 неделей, значит они могут позволить себе открыть сервер для всех, иначе зачем предлагать невозможный вариант? P.S. Лень писать на английском.

It’s nice to see finally why the open beta was discarded. Sounds quite reasonable.

My main concern is not about the early access period but the supporters pack price. It might only be because i haven’t seen the cosmetic store yet so i don’t know if the coins worth it.

dude, dont u see 2/3 population picking option2?
that means they are going to pay 10$. so stop

they get the vote from all the F2P player. those player is happying right now becase they can pay 10 bucks and jumb in make the server crowded at the same time with player that pay 50.

Your question is answered in the post man

But why yoy say that the 22 march will remain?¿ so what’s the purpose on doing the poll? Also i think that when they say the poll won’t change the date schedule, it means that the 19th June will remain as the start of OBT for ALL T_T but i really hope im wrong -.-

I believe 1 month early access is the most balanced choice for both IMC and players. iCBT2 have shown us bugs etc. not seen in kToS and 1 month would give IMC time to work on the iToS exclusive problems. One week would not be enough for that. The 3 months option is bad because of the time advantages it gives to founders and it delays the playerbase. We need more players to encounter more issues that can be fixed.

My conclusion is that IMC needs time to work on a smaller amount of bugs etc. with the founders first. When the F2P players come, many issues will arise. The time IMC spent working on issues reported by founders would reduce the workload they have to do at release.

Starting the game with p2w is ridiculous…
Put money on a open BETA or you don’t have the BIG advantage.

Even if what you say is true, alot of EU/OCE/SEA players will still think twice before paying IMC a single dime if all the servers remain on west. They specifically stated that they are still having internal discussion in regards with EU/OCE/SEA servers so my opinion as someone willing to play but comes from those region should be important to them. This is also not exclusive to me, alot of players shares the same thought as there are tons of threads related to the suggestion of EU/OCE/SEA server implementation.

you know its 10$ for 1 day of early access

That’s what it feels like, it’s some pretty disingenuous herding. I’m fine with one month, but I think it would have saved more face to just not put the one week option in there.

spam this until everyone stops asking.

Well they did ninja edit it in…

I had no issue with the original plan, but the 1 month access seems to be the most sound, logically. I was wondering what had happened to the open beta, but the ToS team makes /very/ valid points as to why they want to change their plans. Just please make sure there is a way to “report” people for botting! I’m sure the ToS fanbase wouldn’t hesitate to report a botter if they saw one in game.

When it comes to buying TP in the future… Please… PLEASE don’t make this game “pay to win”. Please keep the TP marketplace or whatever it is that you have for your game as cosmetic or maybe with exp boosts. Nothing kills a game for a community faster than the ability to just buy your way to the top with real world cash.

Honestly I would have no problem if ToS had a base game fee of $20 to $40 it’s entire lifespan as a Buy to Play. Buy to Play games (which incorporate a 1 time fee and are NOT subscription based) aren’t a bad thing as it permits the dev team to make back some of the money they have poured into their creation. Satisfaction of crafting something out of love aside - there are still mouths to feed and bills to pay. It’s probably nerve-wracking, having to wait and rely on the estimated income from … I guess we’ll call it TP purchases for now? It’s not guaranteed.

GW2 recently adopted a free to play model with restrictions, but they have done it using their first ever expansion pack. You basically get the base game for free with some chat and marketplace restrictions, but you can play the base game to completion. If you want to experience the expansion? Well, then you have to purchase the expansion. Before this, however, they had a base game fee that I think was around $40 for almost 3 years.

For people not understanding why Option B gets more perks, it’s because all 3 levels start at the same time, so they have to offer more of a reason for people to pay more because they would no longer be paying for the earlier access. I thought it was pretty straightforward, but a lot of people seem confused.

so saying option A would start june 19

and Option C will start june 19 too, which means f2p release is what, SEPTEMBER?

stop asking ridiculous questions everything will start march

+1 for that B2P would be perfect. Price high enough so ban for botting/gold selling would be painful.

Give 50 lvl trial (so free players taste class system) with chat mute, no trades.

OMG I found someone else who is still sane!
Gimme a high five o7

altough im still salty about the canceling of the open beta and not being able to attend both closed betas, i guess i can wait a while longer. as for the early access 1 month should be the best option, if a lot of streamers/youtube contend creators pick this game up, it will be benificial.

Made sense to me, you’ll end up with more people in your face day one. Which isn’t a bad thing, just more competition for family names. But yeah a lot of people seemed to of overlooked this.
