If I were to build a QS3, what’s a good way to distribute its 45 stat points? The only thing I really know for sure is to max Running Shot. How would you split points between Stone Picking and Stone Shot? Is Caltrops and Rapid Fire worth maxing? What about Deploy Pavise?
Useful as it blocks ranged attacks and when its placed it taunts so it creates a inanimate tank for you.
Your typical cookie-cutter QS have the following:
- Deploy Pavise 1
- Scatter Caltrops 15
- Stone Picking 5
- Stone Shot 15 <-- this one is variable, actually, since it can pretty much fukk with your SP gauge if not managed right.
- Rapid Fire 3
- Tear Down 1
- Running Shot 5
Your typical slightly better tought out build.
Deploy Pavise 9
Scatter Caltrops 5S
Stone Picking 5
Stone Shot 10
Rapid Fire 10T
Tear Down 1
Running Shot 5
Dunno if I could resist getting 15 in caltrops. Especially if the interactions with bokor zombies / jincan gu are intended…
xD
It’s either that or having better defense when you hti lategame.
You will cry for ranged block … when you get butchered by mobs, which your tank accidential didnt aggro correctly.
I dont get why have more than 1 point in Deploy Pavise either. You wont really use it to attack stuff, nor hide behind it. Tis just making you waste SP and CD isnt a problem, since it have OH.
What exactly does leveling Deploy Pavise do? Skill simulator has it in Korean.
It puts up an inmate object close to you.
Which will block a certain amount of ranged attacks.
AND aggro monsters, that havent been aggroed yet.
Good for PvP and for Situations where you don’t want to die from ranged attacks.
Higher level= more blocks.
Slightly increases dmg on hit, number of ranged attacks blocked, duration and SP consumption on use.
1 Deploy Pavise is silly. while 15 is obviously too much. 5-7 is preferred.
15 Stone Shot is definitely too much. some people go 5 or 10.
15 pavise
15 caltrops
7 pick stone
1 stone shot
1 tear down
1 rapid fire
5 running shot
Pavise is one of the best utility skills in the archer line, mostly because unlike players having an aggro limit of 8 mobs, pavise has no limit so it’s godly for farming high density maps.
@sudonim7 what’s ur end game job? my QS is Schwarzer-Reiter wanna-be. definitely having only multishot and reatreat shot my Reiter will be lack of skill rotation as full-draw, stone-shot, and rapid fire is just a debuff skill. altho yes to some degree QS is more of a auto-attack builds.
Running-Shot, aside from bossing it’s a joke, even to medium enemies it tends to miss a lot. What adds to the insult the first bolt/quarrel is make the enemies kock-backed and missed the rest of the bolt. So i still leave it at 1 but maybe i will level it later if it got more uses later on
I second this one except I went with this set up
10 Pavise
15 Caltrops
1 pick stone
3 stone shot
1 Teardown
10 Rapid Fire
5 Running Shot
Rapid fire is such a terrible skill though, I don’t understand why people put 10 into it.
QS3 A2 SR2
I mostly just use running shot, then throw down caltrops + multishot/concentrated fire/wild shot for when running shot is on CD. If mobs get too big, I use retreat shot for that.
The only time I use rapid fire is for bosses to get the crit resist debuff, other than that I have not found any uses for it.
my own exp: pve+missions+dungeons
15 Pavice - godly skill, block not only missile + agro
15 Caltrops - godly skill, control + near-aoe + agro
5 Runnig Shot - no comments
IMO, Rapid Fire sucks even on bosses, also that stones are needless in pve
For pure pve, you can ignore stone shot and rapid fire.
1 in everything
15 in pavise
15 in caltrops
5 running shot
Leftover points into pick stone
