About the route after A2R3?

I know that ranger 's steady aim being nerfed~
But I don’t want to play another character (now…)QQ

  1. I just want to go pure PVE

  2. I didn’t have much money (But if i make a choice, i will start to earn)

  3. Sometimes, I want to play alone

I have two choice

SR2 (difficult to play alone? )

Rogue>Cannoneer ( I don’t know if it can go ET )

Give me some advice or another route I can go now ?

A2R3 is a solid min/max set-up since you have steady aim 15, and swift step crit rate booster. If you aim for Earth Tower, you will need to specialize for AoE (thus you won’t be great at bosses - don’t expect fletcher level of bossing).

AoE:
->SR2. The best skill of SR2 is retreat shot, other skills are less good. Retreat shot requires a wall to reach full potential. Great skill for Earth tower AoE, however it will be your only good AoE skill. Strongest when retreat shot is extended by krivis3 melstis. Doesn’t need AoE gear because retreat shot hits a fixed amount of targets (skill level = amount of targets).

->falconer -> cannoneer. Great AoE burst through circling + multishot, circling + cannonblast, circling + barrage. Will rely on circling and +AoE attack ratio gear a lot.

->Rogue -> falconer. Another AoE burst. Circling + multishot, circling + feint&barrage. Difficult to use sneak hit without werewolf card. Feint has a small AoE. Relies on Circling and +AoE attack ratio.

-> falconer -> archer3. Circling + multishot 15, Circling + barrage. Relies on Circling and AoE gear.

Note: the added benefit of circling is party-support. It applies to your party member skills too. Falconer is picked solely for Circling (+Call), the other skills are bad.


Keep in mind your r8 choices.
SR2 will likely go SR3 at rank8.
Musket1->musket2.
Cannon1->cannon2.
The other choices may pick mergen or hakkapalle. However some rogue skills can’t be used when mounted (only sneak hit may be used on mount), and NO falcon skills when mounted.


Example of earthtower A2R3 SR2 + krivis3 melstis, however we can’t attack+retreat shot anymore.

You can’t attack retreat but oblique retreat still works for slow walking.

Way too difficult on mouse mode for me. My character moves towards my cursor when I put it on the enemy to oblique.

Too bad for me. I have A1>R3>Rouge so I don’t have much choice left like you T T.

for your build:
1.SR2 : one of Best SR build right now (IMO)
2.Falcon>Cannon : one of Best Cannon build right now(Party&PVE type …and yes just IMO)
3…upon your idea.

for my build:
1.SR2 : Lack of shift step & need re-mount style
2.Falcon>Cannon : lack of shift step
3.Scout>Cannon : lack of shift step & lack of full AOE
4.Archer2>Cannon : lack of full AOE
5.Archer2>XX :for go to Mergen build(still thing about what class for XX)

You could go Falcon1 > A2 if you wish to have swift step and AoE. You will be locked into mergen at r8 though. Or hakkapalle (if their skills don’t require mounted status).

To me, the best AoE build for feint+barrage AoE +circling, and multishot + circling would be A1>Ra1>A2>A3>Rogue1 > falcon1 > Cannon. Strongest multishot (most hits at lvl 15) + circling, and feint + barrage (1 or 5) amount of hits is equal at all barrage levels. Moreover ranger3 (spiral arrow, bounce shot) skills don’t benefit from circling.

Weakness: reliant on Circling. You have to spam your bursts during the 10s of circling to have full AoE efficiency. Burst might be: multishot 15 x2 (charge time, animation time) + feint&barrage-barrage-barrage + cannon skills. Reliant on +AoE attack ratio gear when circling is on CD.

Strength: Circling turns you (and your party member skills) into unlimited AoE works.

The best AoE (smaller AoE) spammer for archers is scout3 split arrow. iDreamy’s build is very nice.

I see. When you use circling you use only Multishot lvl 15.
And use gear AOE ratio for power up cannon aoe skill. really good idea and pretty strong. but req a lot of budget.

For IDreamy build after I saw new VID for rank 8 I think maybe it impossible to go mergen build. and because that build use rouge as rank 7. can’t go to cannon2/musket2 too. only Hakka left but… haha… I wonder which class to go in rank 8 and later.

Circling will boost all your combo’s. But beware, the falcon pet is buggy at the moment - since the latest patch.

Circling + Multishot 15-multishot 15 = big AoE burst.


Circling + Cannon blast, etc. = Big AoE burst.


Circling + Feint&barrage-barrage-barrage = big AoE burst.

Video shows circling + barrage, circling + feint&barrage is more hits obviously.

Barrage don’t work with circling(it attack all enemy in line already). But feint work with circling right?

Barrage has AoE attack ratio of 4 (hidden skill description). Each arrow has an AoE ratio of 4.

Yes, in the past the combo circling + barrage was bugged - and barrage did not work.

Now the combo circling + barrage (or feint&barrage) has been fixed. You will hit all enemies inside Circling range.


Multishot = 1 AoE attack ratio.
Barrage = 4 AoE attack ratio.
Cannon shot/shootdown = 5 AoE attack ratio.
Cannon Blast = 10* AoE attack ratio.

Circling = reduces all enemy AoE defence ratio (your AoE ratio attacks will hit all enemies if your circling is high lvl - lvl4/5)

I see that I never know about barrage ratio.

A cannoneer main told me CBlast aoe ratio is 10.

I am favourable towards falconer circling because no amount of +AoE gear will help you cannon blast all Uphill Defence and ET mob spawn.

i think the reason barrage isn’t affected by circling is that it doesn’t have a true AoE attack ratio. it probably looks like it has 4 AoE atk ratio because of the limit of targets it can hit and hit-box mechanic. otherwise, it can be affected by atk ratio-enhancing gears (or does it?)
