About blue mobs

Have you seen previous threads which are similar? and have u seen the ending?

and couldn’t you have said the last part about exp changing into feedbacks instead of here?? i don’t see the point in having those main important points your trying to emphasize or how you wanna fix it or suggest ways to fix it in the comments instead of the actually feedback threads

Certainly you don’t want the admins to pain painstakingly read each and every comment in a thread where the real points are when there is a specific section about it

@specterr Wrong thread?

@Staryx It’s just a feedback and opinions from people who played the beta, of course there’s almost no chance of devs actually changing the rates or mobs with what we discuss here, but at least we will have a general consensus, and not epin memes with le facepalm, close this thread, etc.

nonono, you misunderstood me ==’ what i meant was the last part was a good point and instead of having it here, put it in feedbacks sections

but seriously, the way you all sounded in comments here sounds like a war was going to break open and was quite fed up with all these from previous threads

EDIT: The rate of blue mobs went higher, either we were all lucky or they increased (meh more blue mobs :heart_eyes: )

EDIT 2: the leveling is already fair atm just need 1.5x or 2x more exp from mobs (which i know they will change it soon) and everyone has a chance at blue mobs, not only those hard core grinders/ks-ers, even casual gamers could get a chance (casual here so i know)

@Staryx
We didn’t really read the same thread… Since i learnt that farming blue mobs with “Call of The Deities” a thaumaturge and a class that can overkill it, may be a valid option to level fast…

@specterr
Yes botting was maybe a bad example.
But since there’s a ranking, maybe there will be ranking rewards and then experience leveling fairness will affect everyone? I don’t think we have enough information though to discuss this further…

x1.5 exp rate would be nice, and no this isn’t a war or something that will make us stop playing the game. (i tried to edit the main post but it wouldn’t let me!)

About the rate of blue mobs getting higher… well, it’s nice i suppose, if everyone has a chance of killing blue-glowing monsters, but wouldn’t it make a even higher gap of those who hunt those monsters a lot and for those who didn’t got the luck of getting a blue mob kill?

Anyways i’ll post the edit i wanted to put in the first post:

EDIT: Blue mobs are certainly not a bad idea, and they are a nice bonus exp on later levels, but “currently” as we saw in the iCBT, they are almost too game breaking at earlier levels, making you jump 2 to 1.5 levels easily with each blue mob, since we have “player ranking” this should be more fair at the hour of leveling, not just an RNG hunt for who gets more blue mobs in the run. What i’m trying to say is that they shouldn’t remove them at all but an adjust of the exp they give at early levels should be required, to prevent the early levels a “blue mob hunting” discouraging parties to get the exp all for themselves (wich happened to me before, people refused to make parties in certain zones because they wanted to kill blue mobs)

nah, there might be people who can 2 hits the mob faster than you can one hit sometimes so anything can happen in killing mobs~

my bad then about the war part.

War part aside, the exp in iCBT was lowered actually and its not the actual exp we’re going to get for the iCBT 2 or open beta. The exp in iCBT needed a base exp where they can slowly change it to fit our international player’s demands and so why not start from the bottom instead of the top(lower exp instead of higher) since kCBT was already trying way higher exp rates than actual base exp rates

Don’t really see your point, since it’s a summoning scroll I can very well go with my buddy thaumaturge in a secluded area where there’s noone… and do … well… I’ll stop here…

as i said, anything can happen, some random dude might pop up and say, ‘suprise!’ haha

edit: do what? smirks and smiles

Well with the random dude that poped up, not sure we could really do what we planned…

awww its okay, there’s always next time~

no 20 freakin characters

Excuse me?
I didn’t understand what you tried to say with that.

I think that blue mobs need just small nerf in exp rate they give, if now they give ~x500, than x200-250 would be also fine, so it would be not better then grind, it would be an alternative. Obviously they should spawn randomly on the map with random time or after X±Y amount of mobs was killed on this map, also I think they shouldn’t spawn at the start so noone can be boosted from the beginning just switching channels. (sorry for my eng)

Its not really that bad. Panto archers gave 19.5k when I needed 140k to level up. Also blues give full exp regardless if you are on a party or not(Saw a video of a swordie soloing a blue panto archer, and he got 19.5k too ^^)

Exp is reduced if you are too far away from the monster’s level. If it took you 140k to level up, then you were 59. This is unlikely, as I spent a lot of time at level 55 killing panto archers ( for testing reasons ), and I received 10k for killing a blue one.

It’s more likely that you were 45, and it took 120k to level. At this range, your exp was reduced somewhat due to being ~12 levels higher than the panto archer ( I believe at about 5 levels difference, the exp starts to get reduced ). When I was 3x, blue panto archers gave around 27k~30k. Since you were in a party, it depends on how many you were partied with. There is an exp bonus that is based on many you are partied with, which evens out the split of exp a bit. Also the level of the swordie that you saw solo the archer would come into play too.

Either way it’s definitely not the case that blues give static exp regardless of party exp share.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KU1-1cb27D4 First one gives him 19.5k, 2nd one yields him 20.5k experience. Solo player(one guy was disconnected, the other one too far away to share the experience). I used to get the same amount he got, on a 5 man party.

I like the idea of blue mobs, but their effect is far too powerful (considering a mob might give 90 exp, a blue gives ~45000 exp, which is like 500x exp multiplier). Especially when one of them basically gives you ~50% of your level’s worth of exp. I managed to find like 4 of them in a 20 minute time span which allowed to me to fly through a couple levels. I’d probably say nerf the blue mobs by quite a bit (maybe have it be a 25-50x exp multiplier). Bring up the base up of the mobs instead to compensate a bit.

It is quite luck based on how fast you level up compared to others if you happen to catch or not catch a lot of blue mob spawns at the moment.

True, I forgot - the reason I was getting 27~30k was because I was overkilling.

Look boyz and ladies - as i already mentioned it’s RNG - if people don’t like RNG a grind/loot based game is not the right thing for them. You explore stuff - you suddenly encounter a blue one and be like “oh myyy goood such a sweet suprise i love this game i love myself i love my luck” - such moments happen if you dont force yourself to find them and simply let it happen. If you are saying “the exp is too much ohhh others might find more than i do and lv up faster” then let it be! If people find cool and awesome equip or got super high luck on their alchemist and create powerful stuff - then you might be jealouse too “uh he doesn deserve that x.x only i do…i hate this game i hate my luck lets quit mimimi” xD I personally like it! And hey if you lv on a map and find some guys - be nice! talk to them! ask them to party up and clear some stuff together! you all gonna be happy if you find a blue one! sure you get less juice but its a fun game go out and have some fun with new people right?!
