A2-Sapper2-Wugu2-Cannon vs A2-Sapper2-Fletcher3

As the title says, what are the pro’s and con’s of either build?

Also curious if we account that both have different types of dps how close is either build of the other, could a Sapper2 Wugu2 Cannoneer build keep up with a Fletcher3 build for in this case just sheer total dps?

I’m Sapper/Wugushi, but I choose Ranger at C2.

I would say Sapper/Wugushi/Canoneer has more potent aoe than fletcher 3.

  • Broom trap spreading Wugong Gu with the poison pool of Throw Gu Pot does a lot of AoE damage.
  • Fletcher Magic arrow is single target and limited in hit-count, and I don’t think spamming Crossfire and Divine machine arrow would even compare.

Single target wise, I think it’s more or less the same, I often outdps fletcher3 in missions but this can’t really tell anything since it could be a difference in gears/gameplay/etc.

The downfall of Wugushi is poisons from different wugushi don’t stack and overwrite themselves. While you could stack fletchers Magic arrows.

Very good points, I thank you for your post it was very informative Faile.

I have read a bit about Cannoneer supposedly also benefiting from strenght builds do you know if this is so? I also read that Sapper and Wugushi benefit mostly from strenght.

If I may ask what are your current stats Faile?
Do you consider full strenght or maybe full dexterity to be better for your build or a mix of both?

Thanks again.

Wugushi poisons can’t crit but poison dot scale with str, so it’s usually better to be a str build.
Sapper and Cannoner can use some dex for crit.
Cannoner especially since the skills base atk are quite high.

I’m 2str:1dex build with a bit of con (30-40 pts)

Im leveling my current A1-Ranger c1-sapper c2-fletcher c2 atm and i went 1:1 str:dex, 30 con.

And i’m having success with this build; Broom Trap, Stockades, Barrage, DMA, and Crossfire are great to use for farming/grinding and aoe (especially broom). While Magic Arrow, Broadhead, Up-close Barrage, Multi-Shot and Steady-Aim for dps and bossing.

Also Detonate Traps and Bodkin Point are very useful when destroying your enemies Magic circles and breaking down their barriers.

also planning to go for this build when i make a new archer. where are you now with this set-up? does the leveling get more difficult at sapper part since you only have barrage level 5?

From level 100 below you don’t need to worry about levelling since there is a lot of quest out there, the problem is from level 100+ damn i see this A2-Sapper C2 guy and he just demolishes the mob in level 90 dungeon. meanwhile we A1->R3 rangers are watching at the sidelines and leeching off his DPS… Man i’m gonna rethink my build. I am going for A1->R1->Sapper 2->F3 build… I think the Sapper Broom trap will really help in bossing later

I’m going for this build too… Really good to see different builds in level 90 dungeon. You can really see the difference of the effectiveness of your character when you see very creative and effective builds of other people.

A2-SAPPER2-Wugushi3 disregard Cannoneer

Lol no, now thats shooting yourself in the foot.

why? what build do you mean?

but if you want to invest for end-game rank 1 - 4/5 seems better to have utility classes than damage ones. broom trap seems nice but on paper, it seems that only rank 6-7 classes are the only ones with skills that can scale up since skill damages are x % + y instead of just a fixed amount of damage.

so at the end of the day, it MAY BE that going sapper C2 is just for easier and more fun in leveling

It will still be beneficial later since Fletchers have tendency to have empty arrows. You need to craft those f*ckin arrows btw so i think having an alternative source of damage would be great.

i dont think that’s enough of a reason to completely tweak a build just to compensate for a deficiency that’s completely avoidable and easily addressed.

Its still good though. Once you are a fletcher most of the other skills from rank 4 below are mostly or not gonna be used. You will be mainly spamming Magic Arrow, Barbed arrow and Crossfire once your a fletcher. Having Broom Trap as a utility DPS will mostly pay off later i think. Also it is not a tweak in a build since there are many builds out there. It just depends on the person using it. TOS is still at its early phase. We are just on 280 max level but rumor says it will be up to 600. So looking at the End game this early is quite assuming don’t you think?

of course. i totally agree but i think it’s a kind of mindset for more hardcore players. if you can have a better end-game now, why not go for it? it would be better if you can reap all the benefits (in the form of assets) as soon as possible than wait for a revamp or patch that is more likely to come at a much later than we need them to. so for casuals and those who are not keen on committing too much this early, no need to seriously build for any sort of end-game and just enjoy whatever content we have so far.

Yeah totally agree on that. Just want to try this A1->R1->S2(I just have a party member with this build and he demolishes lvl 90 dungeon mobs, meanwhile (A2->R2[ME] and a A1->R3[another party member]) are just on the back spamming our skills and running after we are on CD

I have a Ranger1/Sapper2/Fletcher2 who is at 216 currently and i had success with this build so far from grinding alemeth forest is easy with broom trap, magic arrow, barrage, and cross fire, as well as the 190 dungeon. I have green gems on my main and sub weapon for crit rate. Personally i think its a fun play style but i do suggest 30-50 con by lvl 200, because dropping broom, stockades, shooting multiple magic arrow circles around while firing barrage/cross fire might get you smacked up if you dont jump out of the chaos.

Now if i didnt want fletcher for bossing. I wouldve went rogue.

Arc/Ranger1/Sapper2/Rogue3 , double broom + burrow , if go fletcher you bring to many items traps and arrow

What is your stat build?
