A little help to people who dont understand what P2W means

P2w is, well, pretty much what it stands for. But it’s not limited to purchasing exclusive items. It’s also different from pay to progress.

I’m gonna guess that by ‘pay for convenience’, you mean the token buff. You are correct with this one. Honestly speaking, it’s nowhere near what we can describe as p2w. Can’t even call it unfair. If I were IMC, I’d buff it to the point that players will be tempted to get one just because it’s too good to not have.

Seriously, if they are gonna earn money from the game, they will NEED people to buy stuff… What’s wrong with providing benefits to entice people into buying?

What’s with this P2W thing? U mean if u don’t spend cash, u can’t get what we paid in cash for? Isn’t that exactly the point? U mean if u don’t buy the mountable pet, u will die? Or maybe be exiled? P2W = Pay 2 Win right? I fail to see how that pet makes us win… Please enlighten…

For ppl arguing about tokens being P2W, are u serious right now? U mean u can’t get the token without paying cash? It’s so weird because I sold Tokens for 350k ea…

And what is this P2Gating thing? U mean u can’t play or progress in TOS without spending cash? Does TOS stop working for u when your token runs out? Please list examples…

.

  1. Buff power - no such item present in tos, unless you include walk speed, xp boost and/or heal items, in which case you included basically every item concept in existence, inclusive cosmetics.
  2. acquire things you can’t afford with silver - So if i can afford it with silver and choose not to buy it never the less, its no longer p2w? Idiotic idea and concept.

You are one of the new breed of players who never understood what p2w meant to begin with.
The concept of p2w was created in an era where ragnarok online private servers used to sell items which outperformed any and all items which you could get in game.
Anyone with real money could literally pay to win, because if you did not pay, you would lose no matter what.

The new generation of whiners however thinks that any small bit of efficiency or temporal bonus is a sacrilege and it does not matter that you can at any given time obtain similar or better items in game.
The logic used is: You did not do it ingame, but instead choose to take a shortcut and buy it instantly, thus you paid to get an advantage. It does not matter if that advantage does not out perform items which can be gained by just playing the game.

This is the logic which bought on the mentally retarded nutcases who now think cosmetics are p2w too because they offer you an advantage in looks. One which you cannot obtain via f2p means.

Those who are not millennial mentally retarded pampered idiots, still use the concept of p2w as it was meant:
If it gives you an advantage in stats or skills which cannot be attained from just playing the game, then its p2w.

I swear to god if I see this argument one more time…so you’re agreeing that it’s p2w. You’re admitting that, yes, they ARE offering advantages. You’re just saying it’s ok that their model is p2w. Got’cha.

Typical player who doesn’t know what P2W actually means: “OMG THEY GONNA CLEAR EARTH TOWER WITH ALL THE STATS FROM ENCHANTS AND STAT FROM MOUNTS, SO P2W!!!11”

It’s more funny when they think 40 atk from enchants actually makes a huge difference when the damage of Lv280 players reaches 5 digits. They be like “OMFG 40 ATK WILL BOOST THEIR DAMAGE BY 99999 SO P2W!!11”

What’s even more funny is how they can’t realize that these enchanted headgears is available to everyone if they actually have the brain capacity to search for them on the market. Also that the premium mounts cannot be used on battle.

You really need to read the details in it… Of course we should have advantages! We are paying real money for it! They need REAL money to run business… Try to drill that into your little head, will ya?

You should be thankful IMC didn’t put +20 to all stats on gears for us to purchase! IMC is being considerate to people like you…

You obviously have no idea what is P2W… Seriously… Having advantages doesn’t equate to P2W… Because nope, advantage doesn’t mean win… You can check the dictionary…

Oh wait… Are we talking about P2HaveAdvantage or P2Win right now? I’m lost…

@GM_Francis lol careful with my word when the OP saying w/e he like please maybe you sir butt hurt about p2w due to all repeat sir you should explore more then correct me

Fixed that for you.
Mainly because a choice in guns doesnt mean a damn thing as long as they do not outperform items which can be obtained without cash.
But the biggest fail is the inclusion of items such as xp boosts.
You wont find any sane player from the 90’s era who would include “save time” items in p2w. That bs is coming from the millennial trash which never got around to play games where you could literally buy items which outperformed every and anything you could ever hope to get in game.

If just as much as getting a percentage based xp booster is p2w, then go back to wow where you can buy a fullfledged lvl 100+ character without even as much as logging into the ■■■■■■■ game.

You can p2w as well if you buy one from the market.

 Bravo! That’s my point… It’s not P2W since everyone can get it, even without paying cash…

I’m sorry, can you please remind me where the tokens from the market come from? I seem to have forgotten. :>

I’m sorry I thought you were against the p2w advantages, not the p2w whales.

He’s just twisting his facts to suit his argument. Typical tryhard trying to look intelligent.

I’m sorry u aren’t able to buy one using someone else’s spent cash with silvers and being salty about it…

Pretty sure my arguments regarding this and any related topic hasn’t changed since my first post, but feel free to point out any inconsistencies in my posts. :0 Same goes for @Dream since you seem to be under the impression I am “twisting facts.”

ehhh?

I have similar sentiments, but I figured I’d let it slide.

Pretty sure buying that token with silvers doesn’t mean PAY2win since it doesn’t involve paying cash on your end… ^.^

The very fact that you can obtain in-game cash through real cash makes it so. Just because it’s possible to obtain something without cash doesn’t mean you can’t do it, or that it isn’t required to do that in order for the item to exist in the first place.

As soon as you can translate real money into game money, especially in a game so heavily invested in silver-requirements to improve and advance, it’s p2w.
