Disagreeing with someone does not necessitate boisterous insults. Calm down, buddy.
[/quote]Thats not how this community works. If you disagree you have to be either white knight or kiddo or both.
Crap, I must’ve missed the memo. :[ Thanks for the heads up!
what do you mean any class? i thought only classes with the mount attribute can ride pets. also pets cant yet be considered pay2win since you can buy them easy after reaching certain levels, at most around the rank you get the mount skill
HUEHUE IMC DECISION ALWAYS GUD /thread
I’m giving you a classic example of a pay to win model. Clearly you haven’t experience a true pinch of pay to win. ToS hasn’t reach that state yet, where 3 perfect hair costumes stats can make a person almost unkillable by bosses or in GvG.
Or the ToS token granting DOUBLE or 50% exp, along with an increased drop rate.
If the tokens affect exp cards, giving the extra exp, then I will say this game is definitely P2W. Until then, nope.
something at a smaller scale is definitely not something
Logic at it’s finest.
Only a pure paying for cosmetic game is not p2w anyway, imo. I don’t care how broken other game is, as long as I can pay $100 for 1 stat increase, it’s a p2w for me.
but they kinda do: they allow an additional roll on boss cubes. On top of additional run.
Hello @trindynasty! Please kindly watch your words we do not allow posting offensive/inappropriate words on our forum!
Sure, if perfect rolls makes you happy and you think you can make a difference, why not? Nobody is asking you to ‘try hard’ with your hair costumes.
$100 USD is still enough for me to get the stats you want.
Bookmarked this for future reference. LOL
And that Dota 2 reference even though they are earning with a true non p2w model.
Um Francis, if you think that was a bad post you need to explore our forums further. That was quite tame.
Don’t try to insert your version of pay 2 win as the correct one. The funny thing about video game companies is their games are never “pay 2 win”. Because they just invent some bull ■■■■ definition every time.
In this game you can pay money to gain cash, that cash can be used to buy items which can make your character vastly stronger. Yes bots and gold farmers are also allowing people to do this. But that comes with a risk.
This game allows you to legally invest cash in return for in-game silver the games most valuable resource. If you can buy the games most valuable resource with cash legitimately the game has an element of pay 2 win.
ArcheAge had this exact business model. An if you tried to tell people that wasn’t pay 2 win. They would legitimately laugh in your face an for good reason. That isn’t to say I don’t enjoy the game I have almost 500 hours invested.
But I’m not going to pretend there isn’t an element of pay 2 win when there clearly is. If you can pay to progress vastly faster that’s pay 2 win. Luckily the levelling process is only mildly pay 2 win at the moment.
The gearing up process (which is all the matters once you hit end-game) is pay 2 win however. No getting around that.
you misunderstood that post or didnt read it at all.
Cost to enchant a Hair Accessory with the exact 3 stats of your choice? $9,709.20 USD per Hair Accessory.
If you want, for example, exactly AoE attack ratio + move speed + sp regen then you will have to pay about $10.000 (assuming price of $9 per 100 TP). And thats only for one headgear. Triple the cost for full set.
There is a reason why saying “i’m not rich enough to play f2p games” exists.
Good luck.
Exactly this, there is no need to be ashamed of a game being p2w. Rage at IMC for making it p2w if you don’t like it, not at the people stating the truth.
99.9999% of the F2P games are P2W. That’s the whole point of F2P… Companies need to make a profit. They need to make paying for in-game item a relevance to the gameplay to make a steady income.
Yep… in other words the sky is blue and the grass is green.
The only thing I can think of that would even be remotely close to P2W is the Token. In PvP, mobility is king, and the Token boosts movement speed by 3. It’s not much, I know, but I imagined a PvP scenario one day when I was running alongside a Token user in Tenet Chapel. By the time we got to our destination, the person had nearly moved off-screen from me, and I had to catch up.
Then again, there are so many skills that allow you to limit the enemy’s movements it’s not even funny.
My 2 silvers
Everything in cash shop is only for speed up the grinding. Only movement speed boost seem to be P2W for me. But if it would be auto-disable during PVP then I can say that this game is 100% not a P2W.
BTW, I look at the game as a subscripe base service. If you subscripe through Token, you will get all standard service. I you beg for free service, you will get cut out from some standard features which I think it is fair for free service.
