2020 Developer Road Map

Honestly Velcoffer just wasn’t all that challenging and it was the toughest content that IMC had released at the time. I think there is a wide-range of content now for both casual and hardcore players.

A skill like Revive has always been regressive to designing quality content because the developers have to develop around that skill existing. It doesn’t compliment the game, it crushes it. The game revolves around fast action, and character placement, and revive is just an instant-cast “get out of jail free” card.

IMC showed poise when they removed all other invulnerabilities like Ausrine and Foretell, since like Revive they were used as a crutch to trivialize content. So Velcoffer was designed explicity to destroy magic circles and fight against that.

If Revive didn’t exist in the current environment, Lepid Legend would become nigh undoable because Curse was poorly designed. All other content would be fine.

EDIT: Only other thing ill add is I disagree with content even being runnable 5 times a week. Turns the content in a repeating monotonous slog. Make it tougher, make the loot better, make it once a week. Better yet, if you have multiple bosses or spots in the raid have it save your progress so you can do part of it in a day instead of all or nothing!

first thing is stop the bullshjt rng played since beta and only 3 item +21. when new legend comeout have to farm like 10+ piece to get another + 16 then trans, enchant, awaken e tc etc all overagain , and im sure they gona make more upgrade to gear for milking with pack before whale ppl gona spend for bots than imc

Oooof where to begin.

You’re still misunderstanding. People can learn and adapt and developers can design and tune. The way you’re describing content requiring priests makes me think you’re basically wanting everyone to reroll priest and bring a party of 5 priests because why learn an encounter at all? Just bring 5 revives and treat the boss like a pinata. You can easily see the snowball effect that revive has and how it’s a bad crutch.

In your example the people who failed isn’t because of not having two priests. There can be other factors such as gear, level of competence, mistakes. Why pidgeon hole people into priests just to do the content?if the current content was impossible without two priests, I may concede to your current ideas, but everything is still very doable with 1. Bringing more than one is just either trivializing content or you just don’t know how to deal with the mechanics.

We did varna when it first came out with 1 cleric, they were a priest. We had a swordsman, 2 archers, cleric, and wizard. We now use 1 cleric, 3 archers, and 1 wizard.

We even do moring legend with 1 cleric, 3 archers, and 1 wizard.

The game shouldn’t just be easier. I don’t see how you think content is close to impossible to farm. Stacking hp has been used for so long in mmos, so you have more of a buffer while learning the encounters. It’s the same in this game, and honestly it’s not hard to get more health. The only issue with content is the upgrading of equipment after doing the content.

There’s still plenty of content for casual, they’ve even made solo raids for people.

Your description of you dying during cage shows me you’re not dealing with the mechanics or you don’t fully undersrand them. There shouldn’t be black pools in the middle, otherwise you’re tanking him in the wrong spot. The white monster spawn pools also shouldn’t even be up at all, you should be kill the orbs before they reach people or even bait it in the outer rim of the map. These are like basic general awareness and mechanics that once you’ve done varna a few times you should be able to understand how to deal with.

The only time skia was hard was before the SFR update.

The only time moring was hard was when it was first released and we had “outdated” ichors. Even with its unforgiving curse mechanic, you don’t need 2+ priests to do it.

Yes velcoffer was more manageable with less gear because we didn’t have an ichor system before. You just take whatever items and their stats and had to do velc. We’re at a point where it’s 2 legend raids after velc, of course the requirements will be higher. You can’t expect to go into the higher legend raids with the gear you went into velc with.

There isn’t any time in varna that you need revive for if you do the mechanics correctly. Even if lightning or meteor circles get clipped on terrain, it should not kill you. Unless you have like 70k hp, at which point you should know you’re pretty undergeared for that content.

The problem here is not Revive, it’s perfectly fine as it is, so why removing it? The problem is having the skill making hard content trivial. So the best would probably be to limit its effect in raids, just like other skills (Resurrect, …). Let’s say add Revive to the pool of Soul Crystals available and increase that pool to 5. This means one Revive per raid unless you want to lower the amount of Soul Crystals you can use.

And I’m still thinking you should be able to do raids with any class as long as you’re enough geared.

Revive shouldn’t be in the Soul Crystal pool because that will totally nullify the use of revive making the skill totally not necessaries as player will always have Soul Crystal with them. We need to remember, Revive is an Insurance, not a Requirement.

Personally, having the raid itself limited at 30minutes, means 1 priest can only use up to 6 times Revive is already good enough. The problem lies in people are willing to sacrifice another slot for double priest that makes revive much much more accessible throughout the raid.

I would only really argue that Moringponia’s Curse is the only mechanics now that requires attention to be made, as it is much harder to pass through that phase compared to any other mechanics.

easiest is to make a resurrection immunity debuff that prevent you from getting the revive buff again in 5-6 min if you get the revive buff. Or even more extreme: you also get resurrection immunity debuff when you got resurrected or use soul crystal. It’s the same thing with time travel sickness from pass.

Revive lets you keep all your buffs, so you still have the advantage of every food & removable buff still being applied to your character when Revive triggers.

I’ve been saying this essentially since Varna came out.

It solves the issue of 2+ priests to a minor extent. But if they keep making content that is like Moring legend curse, it’ll be pretty punishing. They needa take a look at both and not just one or the other. That’s where balancing and tuning come in…
