Thank you as always for your continued support, enthusiasm and love for Tree of Savior.
Sincerely,
IMC Staff
IMO the game is getting better each day. Keep up the good job.
And please, do something about some dead classes
We believe the current casual contents are successful as many Saviors are enjoying them, but the rewards from the Boruta are not as successful as the other casual contents. Therefore, we are planning to improve on the rewards from the Boruta in the future
is this a mistranslation?
boruta is definately NOT a casual content
also for this part
isnt it supposed to be
difficulty:
easy > normal > hard
rewards:
easy > proper > a lot
YES YES YES

I think they meant the guild mission, not the time attack.
The rewards are not very good for small casual guilds that doesn’t participate in GTW.
Amazing. Please bring that 64bit + UDP optimizationas soon as possible to iTOS, IMC. GTW is a slideshow.
Hopefully it uses the GPU to render some stuff too. Pure RAM is only going to help that much .
This is good news to look forward to , been waiting for years!
"We are preparing a new raid similar to the Lepidoptera Junction from Episode 11. The related Class Master will request your help and involve more deeply with the content. We believe this will impress you and improve your experience with the story of the raid. "
Unfortunately this won’t be the case. Lepidoptera Junction now is a raid aimed at something like 1% of the playerbase which has a 300k+ hp character (usually a BB) or a strong healer with the best equipment you can get in the game. Any other player who’s just there to enjoy the game won’t be able to ever participate to this. The new thread is “true damage” or stuff randomly falling on your head from the sky that oneshots any character that doesn’t have the hp to survive. This is a nonsense. You should be able to bring your glass cannon wizard or archer and contribute by staying in the back with the healer row while your melee characters are in front. Gimmicks are fine, oneshotting gimmicks that happen all at the same time (or are outright buggy) are not. Raids should be more interesting, not just “do damage while absorbing unavoidable damage”.
Casual doesn’t mean that it’s easy, but that you receive a good reward for less engagement.
Boruta surely provides this, the reward is really great if you place within the top 5 guilds that have a GTW spot.
You only need to win GTW and engage in a few minutes of battle every week.
If only the legend raids were as casual where you only need to do them once a week instead of up to 5 times.
It’s especially tedious if we talk about clearing old content like Earth Tower or Velcoffer just for the chance on tome pages, because the base reward for the content are obsolete now, meaning you’re wasting hours every week due to mechanic impracticality for a small chance to get something useful for once.
Private lounge is trash content none needs in times where the tree is still a burning inferno of a mess.
Just look at Skiaclipse, it’s the same crap. All newer raids are circling around bringing out as much damage as possible coupled with high amounts of HP to tank crap mechanics.
I still don’t understand how the solo Skiaclipse is casual if it still has the same crappy stack and disabling mechanics.
It’s just ridiculous how the whole map is turned into a shadow swamp if you don’t kill the boss fast enough and then you’re summoned by skiaclipse into the swamp and disabled at some point because you no longer see the thunder marks on the ground.
Yeah,that’s surely balanced and casual.
They just excel at creating tedious content that wastes time with stupid mechanics and punishes people without overpowered gear stats and the right classes.
At this point I believe the casual solo raids should just normalize everyone’s attack and defense and HP/SP to a set number so everyone can actually clear the raid if he uses his brain.
There is no point in grievance politics where just OP builds and/or overgeared people can clear the solo challenges to get more resources to optimize their equip while normal players can never get anywhere unless they are carried by meta builds in the party versions, get the equipment and then clear the solo challenge for extra stuff to optimize their gear to +16/+21 afterwards.
Also, the weekly entry count on party legend raids should be removed. It only hurts the economy and prevents the good players to help the less useful ones because once they’ve used up their entry count they just waste their playtime while carrying people. That’s not how it should be.
Who cares if people will have +40 Varna someday if you can help everyone progress faster because the top players actually still get something out of carrying others?
I don’t know if you (IMC) take into considering this post replies (a.k.a. player ideas); but I think 2-3 things are making this game really boring:
-
Advertising the game/communication with your international player base: New servers requires A NEW STEAM ACCOUNT is/was totally, absolutely an epic failure. Do not make this mistake again, research what the Steam is and how people use their Steam accounts. You already shoot on your leg (see Steam community forum comments). Also try to communicate with streamers, up-to-date guide writes, etc to create more content about the game. Research about American, European MMO player base, it’s different than Korean base.
-
Item upgrading: Let us use old items to make new items. Do not limit us to just pray for RNG (which is big probably depends on potato server OS random number generator) to upgrade our items. All current item upgrading methods are using RNG (except transcend but anvil, enchant jewel, identification, awakening, ichor extracting, seal upgrading, etc). There’s currently only 1 way to upgrade an item, it’s a RNG. A simple/quick idea for upgrading items; suppose that I farmed Arde Dagger long time ago when it was OP, but know it’s totally useless/trash now. We might have an option to use it to upgrade/craft another dagger or combine two/X of them to upgrade it. (combine 2 arde daggers to make “Grand Arde Dagger”? Item leveling?) There are tons of unused items in game (I’m really sorry about their designers, lots of beautifully crafted items have no usage in game), so they can be used with this way - maybe? (like some boruta accessories which requires old items which are not used anymore to craft). Another idea, bring item experience to level it up instead of anviling - just an idea.
-
Class Balancing: Just remove classes if you can’t handle/balance them. 80+5 classes are too much to handle/design/balance. Remaking them is endless loop (re-re-re-build). Like most of crafting/shop classes, remove them and give us crafting/specialization/profession skills like other MMOs. Like alchemy, blacksmithing, tailoring, cooking etc. We don’t need to create another alt and level it to chill with crafting/selling. Fishing was a good idea/introduction but it’s also another way to bring RNG (fishing to get random item??? - let us make/craft something with what we catch from fishing).
/dev/urandom and /dev/random are evil
Disclaimer: Those are just my humble ideas, and sorry if I made some language mistakes, English is not my mother language.
Orsha renewal
now that’s the real deal, great job, thumb up
Learning the mechanics costs nothing and takes approximately 5 minutes of pride swallowing. I’d say that’s pretty casual.
edit: also personal housing when
Please do something about RNG…its killing us new pply even some veteran casual…since on a whale ppl or some lucky ppl got that beautiful RNg to +16 or even go above and beyond to +21 or even +29
We dont expected to that easy to +21…jezzz just easy +16 will be good enough to have good decent damage or defense
And yes please do something to lag…
I’m not even a whale(just a goddamn casual player) but fews days ago I was trying to get +16 varna pike
But ended up with +8 pot0, watesd my 40m silver ;-;
Yep, RNG is such a pain
Loved the housing system but I hope it will be useful and not just beautiful.
Some people are very dramatic complaining that only well-equipped people can raid like skia , well this is to be the end game contend exactly for those people who are well equipped or who knows the boss mechanics if.
I agree that the IMC should listen to the player base, but the players are not perfect either and each one wants something different which can generate more problems than solutions and I think it is wrong some people who don’t even play the game come here to talk as if they understand of everything
Agreed that RNG shall be the first thing to be addressed here. Having your hard earned first late-game item and end up +5 0 pot without any method to save it is just heart breaking. Yes recently Legend Gears has been much easier to get, but it doesn’t help the first time feeling that many people just do not like to handle/endure it.
Surely, with a certain amount of progress, crafting legend gears becomes like part and parcel of the day cause you literally will have excessive amount of mats once you start to get the hang of the legend raids.
Thank you for the translation! @William121213513513
It’s important to re-balance the current ARTS we have before new ones get released. This was promised to us long time ago, but since then we only received like 1 re-balance for like 5 ARTS and that’s it, even though around half the ARTS in the game are not that good and simply not worth the investment.
Please implement a way to reset boss runs in Hunting Grounds. It’s still baffling to me how you can get around restrictions for pretty much anything in the game, but we’re still bound to only 5 HG Boss runs per week.
The re-balancing of less played classes needs to be a focus in order to strengthen the uniqueness of them. I realize that we have almost 90 classes in the game, but there are classes that run have been running around with laughable skill factors (300-600%) for months like Matador, Miko, Highlander, etc. while classes like Exorcist, Fencers or Blossom Bladers constantly get buffed and run around with 10.000% skill factors on their skills.
It would also help, if the team could look at a lot of outdated class synergies that were implemented in Rebuild and buff them. I’m thinking about the Death Setence + Convinction, or Oblique Fire + Jolly Roger combo for example that are pretty much completely useless, while Blossom Bladers and Barbarians run around with skill and skill synergies within their class that benefit all classes in their tree.
Last but not least, are nonsensical restrictions for skills that are completely outdated like Miko’s Clap, Bunshin no Jutsu cooldown increase, Micro Dimensions duplication working on like 3 skills in the whole game. These restrictions date back to years ago, before Rebuild, when the game was completely different. These are a huge burdens on many classes, because all the new classes don’t have such restrictions put on them and thus get chosen by the majority of the players over the other classes mentioned earlier.
add some fishing pool to orsha. fedimian can wait
A heavy class rework bonanza is, personally, the most exciting news i’ve heard in ages.
Just by this sentence i can get some (little) hope (and hype) for what’s to come, however i want to reinforce some points that might be important to reiterate.
1 - Focus on class identity and trade-offs instead of raw power. There will always be classes that will be less popular/appealing and they won’t reach the spotlight regardless of what is done, the deal here is that these classes have to be competent and valuable in their niches (which doesn’t happen as stated in the post). If the class delivers on what is meant to do and that aspect is valuable to the game, it will be used (unless another class in its tree does it better).
2 - Review the class system (skill point distribution/levels aspect), the rank of 15/10/5 level caps doesn’t make sense in the standard and provides an unfavorable scaling to lower rank skills. Rank 1 skills get a minimal improvement per skill point when compared with rank 3 skills, along that any secondary component that scales with it either goes out of control (as they have too many levels) or is significantly low, don’t seem appealing when compared with other options or even have odd power spikes (such as adding a new target every 3~4 levels). Personally, i think it can work better by capping ALL skills to level 10 and redistribute their power to it. It can also help if classes have the same number of skills to pick and even one or two free skills that provide core/basic utility effects, as is the case with Unbind, Cassis Crista, Resurrection, Detonate Traps, Conceal, Double Punch, Ram Muay, etc - it makes no sense for them to consume points when they are either useless on their own or are mandatory for other skill to be used.
3 - It might be a good idea to revamp all classes regardless of their current state, after all it may be harder to keep the ones that are successful if you change a significant chunk of their tree (and also solve some core compatibility issues such as weapon restrictions). As such, it would be more efficient to tackle trees one by one based on how they are performing instead of focusing on the individual classes. The most natural order for it would be Swordsman > Archer > Scout > Cleric > Wizard if addressing weapon compatibility, else Cleric may take the first spot.
I really wish it to be a success, please make it work.
I hope that they move Highlander on from the old “use x skill before y skill” idea it always was.
I think it could be better as a dps/debuff class that deals above average damage with any weapon, and inflicts debuffs with every skill that can work into multiple classes, instead of requiring them to function instead.
Because it’s almost… sort of like the Sapper to Barb’s Wugu, I feel like if you can throw Barb into any build for it’s buffs, then you should be able to throw Highlander in any build for it’s attack skills and debuff options.
Just an idea, though.
wait is that mean no more physical cleric?
RIP
