For example, a player going afk while leaving a heavy object on the attack key has to be handled differently from regular bots. The classifier can deem the afk player innocent from looking at the honest play records, so afk players should not be reported using the report function as that will work against your RII.
Which is why they say state your case if you feel you were wrongfully banned.
thats not about being wrongfully banned or not. read the new dev blog. each report will be investigated, but since these afk z “botters” play a lot of their time legit, the one checking the report cannot be certain that its a bot, thus the report will be deemed as inaccurate, which will then negatively impact your RII, which is a measure of credibility when youre reporting bots.
Is this really the case I mean? I think a staff member should clear up what is and isn’t okay here maybe.
Is it really a bannable offense to leave something heavy on the z key while you take a bathroom break or something stupid?
Basically, people using the “report bot” function on Z key users are using it incorrectly.
not necessarily, it will just not lead to any results. i guess youd need to report a z botter in a private message and explain it a little, otherwise the gm wouldnt know what to look out for
I guess. You could you know, use the bathroom, AFK like normally by sitting/standing, come back and pay attention to fight stuff instead of lazily have Z on a block. Better safe than sorry.
Yeah, I guess but it’s still such a grey area. Like, you gain basically nothing from doing it and if anyone gets banned for it they’re gonna have nothing to lose and might as well download a real bot.
If I was holding the z key with my finger and watching a tv show on the other monitor and got report/banned I’d be pretty salty about, spitefully so. Especially if it says nowhere that’s not actually against any rules. I’ve played other mmorpgs in similar ways with no outside program, just my fingers and it sounds so stupid people are reported for that.
I don’t think any of the player base cares if z attackers get banned except the z attackers. It may not be botting but its not far off.
By all means keep using the report function. Over time the weight of your vote will degrade and be worthless.
Obviously not. Because as we have seen on the forums many people are reporting z attackers, which actually validates your reports and increases your standing. Read how the system works.
Excuse me? iMC said themselves in the latest report bot feature not to use it on Z key users and I even quoted that part of their post in my original post.

Yes it was posted, that it is not the intended use.
This is how they programmed the system that is how it works.
The fact that i am right. It may not be its intended use but because of how it functions the fact that those players are getting multiple reports and getting banned increases the report value of the people reporting them.
Being arrogant must be a wonderful thing to think everything you do and say is right. Even when the creators of a system tell you not to use it against Z users.

I’ll still report a bot if i see a player “autoattacking” even if there’s nothing infront of him for tons of minutes… i mean… it could even be a bot that makes you autoattack every second, and mostly because you ask “Botting”? and they don’t answer xD lol.
Go earn it the hard way man, not just with a “heavy object” above your Z letter > Go To sleep > Oh look i just farmed for 8 hours exp and silver, yaaaay no hard earning.
I don’t talk to people in game as I don’t like the people IN this game. Doesn’t mean I’m botting, many people scream at me for not replying.
I don’t talk to anyone in game either as me and my friends use voip systems. I have yet to be banned. When IMC investigates the reports there is a large difference between not talking and sitting in place auto attacking for 12 hours.
IMC doesnt ban based on number of reports, for f** sakes read the dam thing.
IF multiple people report a Z autoattacker, that only means they will take priority on checking the player…
Then their program will evaluate, based in the player activities (aka logs) if it is a bot or not. And considering the program will find a shitload of legit activities and playtime, it will not be deemed as a botter and all the people that reported that player will have their RII decreasead, therefore losing credibility.
The post is very clear, but let me translate what they said:
"Dont report Z autoattackers, because they play legit most of the time and our system will not flag them as botters and your RII will be f**** up"
Try reading all the information i posted. Not one post out of the middle of a conversation and take it out of context.
If you read all my posts before losing your salty tits you would see that is what i described.
And z attackers are on the forums complaining about being banned. So obviously some of their activity’s are similar to botting.
